In. 5.0 Liter 4 Barrel Quadrajet Carburetor - Air Injection System, Electronic Ignition COMPLETE DESCRIPTION: This Riviera was purchased from a friend in 2013. It was in covered storage for 13 years after the transmission started to slip from 2nd gear to 3rd gear. It had no body damage other than normal small dents and paint oxidation. The rear bumper and door handles have small pin sized chrome pits (see pictures). All the other bright work is in beautiful condition. Only needing a battery and fuel it started. I did a complete check from top to bottom/ front to rear for any future possible problems then replaced and repaired anything needed (except for catalytic converter and cruise control speed amplifier). The front suspension was tightened up with new parts. Being front wheel drive the transmission, differential w/ complete overhaul, bearings and bushings, constant velocity joints, drive axles are ALL NEW PARTS & realigned. New brake pads and shoes were needed and installed new tires all around. The alternator was replaced because it had a slight bearing noise, radiator was also replaced with a new one (it would not hold 13 pounds of pressure caused by a small leak at an upper solder seam). The rear injector valve to the catalytic converter was defective so that was replaced. Needed to replace the muffler (too loud). All the lights were checked and replaced ant bad lamps. The interior of the car was just dust and dirt because the windows were not completely closed. The headliner needed to be replaced because the glue let loose causing it to sag in some areas. The seats )front and rear) were completely disassembled w/ the door panels and cleaned and reassembled. All carpets are new along with front and rear matching floor mats. All power switches were removed checked and cleaned. The windshield has two very small stone chips (center top). Inside rear view mirror was replaced because it appeared to have some haze along the mirror edges. The heater/AC blower was off balance so it was replaced. EXTERIOR: After all mechanical work and interior were completed, all chrome trim, bright work were removed and the chassis and under hood was steam cleaned and detailed with new paint and under coating. All body scratches and dents were repaired back to straight panels then primed for new complete paint. Instead of going to the original paint type I selected a GM 2002 color to closely match the original shade but with a pearlescent tone. (Exterior color is called Antique Bronze) Two days later it was buffed and polished and ready for a car show! (Restoration Class) MAINTENANCE HISTORY History before my purchase is unknown other than the engine was very clean in the heads/block with a very good compression and vacuum test. Replaced spark plugs, oil, A.T.F., anti-freeze, checked power steering fluid, brake fluid, converted R-12 to R-134 Freon. Have all receipts for parts |

GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles
Tue, 06 Aug 2013General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.
Buick to use Velite name for its Cascada?
Mon, Dec 1 2014Ever since Opel brought out the Cascada convertible last year, rumors have been flying that Buick would offer it Stateside – much like it does with the Insignia-based Regal and the Astra-based Verano. And now we might have our best clue yet as to what Buick might call it. According to GM Authority, General Motors has filed to use the name Velite on a new model. The name first appeared on a convertible concept unveiled over a decade ago at the 2004 New York Auto Show (pictured above), but GM reportedly opened an application to trademark the nameplate for production in 2011, seeking extensions on its application every six months since. Of course the fact that it's applied for its fifth extension (of a permissible six) doesn't necessarily mean that GM will ultimately bring the cabriolet to US showrooms, or that it will use the Velite name if it does, but the fact that GM is keeping the name alive could be a good sign. The market for relaxed four-seat convertibles has been shrinking, leaving it up to drop-top muscle cars like the Chevy Camaro and Ford Mustang. But with entries like the Toyota Camry Solara, Volkswagen Eos and Chrysler 200 Convertible having dropped off the market, the Buick Velite (or Cascada, or whatever it's ultimately called) could have the sedate cabriolet segment all to itself – even if (or especially if) Lexus dealers aren't interested in touching it.
New Buick Verano testing in Germany
Thu, 29 May 2014A refresh to Buick's popular Verano sedan appears to be nigh, thanks to these spy photos that show the tweaked four-door testing in Germany.
As with the current Verano, the refreshed model will have a great deal in common with its European platform-mates, the Vauxhall/Opel Astra. Each car rides on General Motors's Delta II platform. Unlike the current car, though, the refreshed model's styling could lean more heavily towards its European roots, if these photos are any indication.
Despite its commonality with the Astra Sedan, the Verano has featured its own unique styling since arriving in the US back in 2011 as a 2012 model, with distinct fascias at both the front and back, as wells its own headlight and taillight designs. The two cars were still rebadged vehicles, but it was more subtle than it will be in 2015, when the refreshed Verano arrives. Astra-like elements are expected to dominate, particularly in regards to the headlights and taillights. That said, trademark Buick styling features will remain, like the waterfall grille. Really, then, the 2016 Verano won't be unlike the Regal - a rebadged Vauxhall/Opel Insignia, aside from a few very small styling details.
