1973 Buick Boat Tail Riviera 455 Automatic on 2040-cars

Year:1973 Mileage:135326
Location:

Nixa, Missouri, United States

Nixa, Missouri, United States

I have a 1973 Buick Riviera . The car is a base car with normal options. The car does have the 455 with turbo 400 trans. The car has been setting about 4 years since it has drove down the road. I was told the engine was gone thru 5 or 6 years ago. I set a fresh battery in it and poured gas in the carb and she sounds good accept for a couple lifters ticking and they was getting better when i shut it off. The brakes are not up on the car either. With a battery and gas and some brake work i think the car would lot drive. A couple of the tires goes flat pretty quick but will hold air long enough to load. The right front wheen that matched the set is in the trunk along with the gril. I have most of the trim that was taken off the car from what i can tell. This was going to be a father son project and never got very far. The floors have normal rust in them. Has some rust in front of driver rear wheel. they took window trim off and caulked around them as you can see so nothing would leak. This is a project or parts car. The car comes with a BILL OF SALE ONLY !!! NO TITLE !!!! The frame looks good from what i could see with no holes in it. I will be happy to get more pics for anyone who wants them. The passanger door is stuck shut and i have not tried to get it open at this time. The VIN tag is rusty and is only about half there but the VIN is in the door and complete.

I do have the car for sale locally and i may end this auction at anytime.

Again this car comes with a BILL OF SALE ONLY !!!!

I need full amount sold for with 3 days from end of sale and car to be picked up within 10 days from end of sale unless talked about before hand.

Car sold as is no warrenty given or implied.

Take cash in person or postal money order or bank wire transfer for payment

GM announces net 220 job increase as Trump visits Michigan

Wed, Mar 15 2017

GM announced today that about 900 jobs would be added (or, importantly, retained) ahead of President Trump's arrival in Michigan, where he is expected to discuss his plan to roll back fuel economy standards. The timing of the announcement is almost certainly not coincidental, as appending it to a Trump visit gives it a higher profile and dovetails with the President's jobs agenda. It's less likely the decision itself was made for those reasons, but the free PR boost is a nice bonus. As for those 900 jobs themselves, they aren't all new jobs. The only net gain is approximately 220 jobs at the Romulus Powertrain Plant, which produces the 10-speed automatic transmission that's proliferating through the company's lineup. The 180 jobs at Flint Assembly and 500 jobs at Lansing Delta Township are retained jobs – that is to say, spots the company found for workers who would otherwise have been laid off. By the way, the Flint jobs will help with production of heavy-duty pickups, and the Lansing jobs are to produce the Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave. Finding jobs for manufacturing workers in the auto sector, whether new or retained, is admirable. No matter how GM couches it, the company has created or retained a total of 7,000 jobs this year, and its total reinvestment in US production is around $1 billion. But these decisions are business ones, not political ones – timing the announcements to make them seem inspired by economic policy, or the political situation, is simply smart PR. Buick Encore blitzes first-year sales predictions

Sat, 01 Mar 2014

With its first full year of sales in the bag, it's safe to say that Buick has a hit on its hands with the Encore. US buyers have snatched up 31,046 of the small, premium crossovers since the Encore went on sale in January of 2013, while 97,311 were sold globally (not counting its counterparts from Opel and Vauxhall).
While we liked the Encore when we first drove it, we'll admit, we weren't sure how the tiny CUV would do. In fact, the first thing Executive Editor Chris Paukert wrote about the Encore was, "We admit it. We have no earthly idea how this whole thing is going to shake out." But it's done well, and has been subject to heavy demand over the past year, blowing away the estimates of analysts, who, according to an August story from Automotive News, projected no more than 18,500 units would be sold in 2013.
"Right out of the gate, demand for the Encore was high," Tony DiSalle, vice president of Buick marketing said in a statement. "It accounted for most of the segment's growth last year and that's because it offers the right safety, technology and features in the right-sized vehicle for many customers."

GM recalls 51k Enclave, Traverse, Acadia crossovers over fuel gauge inaccuracy

Mon, 05 May 2014

With all eyes fixed on General Motors in the wake of the ignition recall debacle, the auto giant has been carefully calling in a wide array of vehicles to fix anything and everything that could prove problematic. Just the other day it issued two separate recalls - one concerning the Cadillac SRX and another its heavy-duty pickups - and now it is issuing another.
This time the vehicles in question are the Buick Enclave, Chevy Traverse and GMC Acadia, three fullsize crossovers based on GM's Lambda platform. In an estimated 51,640 units manufactured between March 26 and August 15, 2013, the engine control module has been found to incorrectly display the level of fuel in the tank.
As a result, owners are being notified to bring their vehicles in to their local dealers to have the ECU reflashed to fix the problem. View the full details in the announcement below from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
