1969 Buick Riviera Original Owner Grey Black Vinyl Top Black Interior, on 2040-cars
Roseville, California, United States
This California Buick is family owned since new. For those California enthusiasts who care about such things, the Riviera sports the original Blue/Yellow CA license plates installed new. Always garage kept. This 94,000 mile heirloom has just been serviced after sitting for the last year. Silver Grey paint is original with only parking lot door nicks to spoil the finish. The passenger side rear quarter panel was resprayed some time in its life. The original black vinyl top has no "bubbles" under it, typical of these automobiles. The vacuum system properly open and close the hideaway headlights. The spare tire and jack have never been removed from the car. It truly looks as though the trunk has rarely been open. The 430 cubic Inch, 4 barrel engine has been serviced with oil change, timing and dwell confirmed for optimum performance. Rear window defogger option. Electric windows, antenna. AM/FM radio works wonderfully, however has a scratchy volume control. The brakes have been serviced, including a master brake cylinder. The tires are 80% mounted on the Riviera-specific rims. The interior, other than three wear tears in the driver's seat, appears minimally used. Rear speaker/delco underdash fader and clock do not work. Minimal repairs for an otherwise phenomenal automobile.
This is an absolute time capsule that deserves a Riviera enthusiast who will enjoy ride comfort of this personal classic boulevard cruiser. The car is for sale locally, so we reserve the right to end the sale at any time. Please feel free to e-mail questions and additional pictures. |

OnStar RemoteLink mobile app coming standard on all new GM vehicles
Thu, 06 Jun 2013As an evolution and improvement of its OnStar technology, General Motors has announced that it will be expanding the RemoteLink Mobile App on most 2014 model year Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac vehicles. The new, aptly named RemoteLink Key Fob Services will allow users to remotely operate all of the same systems as the car's key fob, including locking and unlocking the doors and remote starting (on vehicles equipped with a factory remote starter) using a smartphone.
These Key Fob Services will be free for five years - starting from the vehicle's delivery date - but the full suite of RemoteLink features will continue to be offered only with a subscription (trial or paid). These premium features include contacting a live adviser, getting turn-by-turn directions and remotely monitoring the vehicle's diagnostic systems.

Spy photos of the upcoming Buick Regal wagon, via the Opel Insignia
Fri, Nov 11 2016We're pretty sure Buick is working on a Regal wagon. And because the Regal is the Opel Insignia on the other side of the pond, these spy photos show us what's in store when it eventually turns into a Buick. The rakish wagon was lightly camouflaged, giving us our best look at the upcoming vehicle. The wagon shares a lot of the same design cues as the Insignia sedan that we spotted earlier. The bottom of the front end is covered in heavy camouflage, masking the wagon's grille. It's unsure to tell whether the black nostril-like pieces sitting above the grille are vents or just tape. The prototype still shares the same upright nose as the model we spotted earlier, giving the wagon a wider stance than its predecessor. The side profile of the wagon is sleeker, thanks to the extra four inches between the axles, than the current model is, with the design mimicking that of a shooting brake instead of a traditional wagon. The rear end of the wagon is also more upright with the taillights and bottom part of the fender jutting out beyond the glass. The boxy design sitting atop of the rear end doesn't match the rest of the vehicle and appears to be a part of the car's camouflage. With the tunnel-like design at the top gone, the rear end would have a more streamlined design. With the next Regal expected to continue on as a rebadged Insignia, the likelihood of a Regal Wagon in the US look good, but aren't set in stone. Late last year, Buick filed two trademarks for "Tourx" and "Regal Tourx," pointing towards a high-riding wagon with all-wheel drive. Imagine these spy shots with a taller suspension and some crossover-inspired trim pieces and you have a wagon that could take on the likes of the Subaru Outback and Audi Allroad. GM cutting Chevy Sonic, Buick Verano production by more than 20%
Sat, Jun 13 2015General Motors' Orion Assembly plant in Michigan is seeing even more production cuts this year to further reduce inventories of the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano. These latest adjustments mean layoffs for about 100 workers in phases starting in July. "GM Orion Assembly will adjust plant production capacity to better align with market demand," the company said in a statement announcing the change. Through May, sales of the Sonic are down 28.5 percent to 29,082 vehicles, and the Verano is off 15.6 percent, with 15,279 sold this year. According to unnamed plant insiders speaking to Automotive News, the assembly rate is slowing at Orion Assembly from the current 33 cars an hour down to 26 an hour, a 21-percent reduction. GM is also reportedly going to keep the plant idle for three weeks during the normal summer shutdown, rather than the usual two. Earlier in the year, the factory was idled for two weeks due to excess supply of the Sonic and Verano. In March, it was closed again for several days for the same reason. The Orion Assembly plant is the future home to the line for the Chevy Bolt EV. GM Statement: GM Orion Assembly will adjust plant production capacity to better align with market demand. A phased layoff of approximately 100 employees will begin in July 2015 and conclude by year-end.
