1965 Buick Riviera Gs Gran Sport Small Emblem on 2040-cars
Hollywood, Florida, United States
Selling my 1965 Buick Riviera Gran Sport. This is a cool car that I was hoping to restore, but just don't have the time. It's a real deal, early "small emblem" GS, which are becoming very hard to find. This car has some good options including air conditioning, power windows, factory magnum Road Wheels, rear defrost, power antenna(motor is missing) wood wheel and deluxe interior. It is missing the dual quad 425 engine, which is how I purchased it. It does still have it's SP400 trans and posi rear axle(not sure what ratio-could be 3.07 or 3.42). The car is a project and will need complete restoration. Overall, the body is pretty solid and most of the trim looks excellent. It does have some bondo/rust in the drivers rear quarter and some rust in the corners of the trunk pan(see pics), along with a little bit on the very bottoms of the front fenders(behind the finned trim). Back window seems really solid from what I can tell and rockers look good, I have not had the carpet out, but the floor pan feels solid. The car will come with the clamshells and linkage, clamshell motor(needs rebuilt-is disassembled), grille, cathedral moldings(broken), the firewall AC boxes(not shown), hood hinges(not shown), AM radio(not sure if it works or not-not shown), Wood Wheel horn button(not shown), two sets of bumpers(rear is on car-two fronts and one more rear included, not shown) and all the finned rocker trim(the one drivers long piece is bent-rest is good condition). Comes with clear Florida title in my name. I have tons more pictures, just ask and I will send-I am at my limit as to how many I can post in the ad. Car is sold as is, as shown with no expressed or implied warranty or guarantee. Please ask all questions before purchase. Feel free to email or call me with any questions 954 two seven zero 9299. Thanks for viewing my ad!

2015 Buick Verano offered with six-speed manual after all
Mon, 09 Jun 2014Good news, boys and girls (well, at least those of you who still like shifting for yourselves). Buick got in touch with us to correct some information that it had mistakenly announced; namely, that the 2015 Verano will lose its optional six-speed manual transmission. Apparently, that announcement was incorrect, and the compact sedan will indeed continue to offer a manual option for 2015, despite what we're certain is a low take rate. Additionally, the Desert Dusk Metallic paint that was said to come as part of an Appearance Package is no longer part of the deal. With that out of the way, we now return you to your regularly scheduled automotive-obsessive broadcast...
Buick Cascada will start at $33,990
Fri, Sep 25 2015The Buick Cascada goes on sale early next year, bringing open-air motoring to the brand in the US for the first time in 25 years, and you'll need $33,990 to buy the standard model. Notice there's no asterisk after that price in the headline, because $33,990 includes the destination charge. Buick compares this convertible with the $37,525 Audi A3 droptop, noting that the 200-horsepower Cascada has 30 more hp, navigation and heated front seats as standard, eight-way power seats instead of four-way, 20-inch wheels instead of 17-inchers, and a heated steering wheel. The Cascada in Premium trim will run $36,990 and add forward collision alert and lane departure warning, auto headlights, park assist front and back, rain-sensing wipers, and two air deflectors. Quite a few of you have commented that it would be great if Buick could price the Cascada where the defunct Chrysler 200 Convertible used to live, and it's in the neighborhood. The 2014 200 S convertible was the top of the line in the model's last year, came with a 283-hp, 3.6-liter V6, and started at $33,445 before destination. It lacked the features, refinement, and looks of the Cascada, and that thirsty V6 got you gas mileage of 14 highway, 21 city. The soon-to-depart Volkswagen Eos, which also comes up frequently in Comments, starts at $32,860 after destination. If Buick kept the suspension tuning engaging, this could be really good. There's a press release below with more info. Your browser does not support iframes. Buick Cascada Priced at $33,990 Well-equipped convertible offers high levels of standard content, technology DETROIT, 2015-09-23 – The top-down driving experience of the 2016 Cascada – Buick's first convertible offered in the United States in 25 years – is priced at $33,990. When it goes on sale early next year, the Cascada will offer more standard content, a more powerful standard engine and a lower starting price than the Audi A3 Cabriolet. "Cascada expands Buick's lineup with a uniquely fun and personal driving experience," said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick. "With a lower price than key competitors, it also promises to shake up the segment – and look good doing it." The 2016 Cascada – designed from the ground up as a convertible – comes well-equipped in a 2+2 configuration, with room for four adults.
GM China President says automaker could export vehicles from China to US
Sat, 20 Apr 2013At a press conference on Saturday at the Shanghai Motor Show, General Motors announced plans to further expand its presence in the Chinese market. Among those commitments are plans to build four new plants by the end of 2015, giving the automaker the capacity to produce around five million vehicles a year in the country.
In order to make the most of that expansion, GM is adding 400 dealerships in China this year alone (for a total of 4,200 sales points), and it's eyeing 5,100 dealers by 2015. Yet not all of that production will stay in China - GM is planning to increase exports as well. Officials estimate the company will export somewhere between 100,000 and 130,000 Chinese-built vehicles this year - a record. And it's gunning for more.
Autoblog asked GM China president Bob Socia (above) if that means the company might eventually export new vehicles built in China to the United States, and he responded:
