The 86 turbo regal I bought 15 years ago from a middle age couple who just drove it on the street till they had too many kids. It had 87k on it with 1 repaint. It was originally a white car and still is (black trim) white painted rear bumper, chrome front. Body is straight, no bondo and no rust holes, some bubbling starting in a couple of places down low just in the last 2 years. Couple of areas had paint chips that started some surface rust, and need repainted. See pics. I've never driven in on salt or snow, no winters at all. But we have wet ground 6 months out of the year, and it has sat out 1-2 winters on gravel. Needs front bumper fillers now, drivers seat has a spilt and needs headliner, analog dash. Couple minor bumps and a light crease in rt front fender. I think my son smacked the edge of the roof when he was an angry teen and put 2 smaller dents on the roofs edge. Inside trunk is perfect with perfect trunk mat, original spare and jack.  Bucket seat, console car loaded. Engine never been apart and has 135k on it now. Original engine/transmission/rearend. 3.8 turbocharged V-6 with GM Turbohydramatic 2004R, and 8.5 GM 10 bolt rearend w/3.42 positrac G80 option.PS, PW, PL, tilt, cruise, delayed wipers, Pseats. I have ran Mobil1 synthetic oil in it since I've owned and so did the previous owner he said. Bone stock when I got it, except duals with no convertor. TE 34 turbo now with brand new 60lb injectors, new 255l/hr walbro, huge front mount intercooler, LT1 valve springs, throttle body spacer, underdrive pulley, adjustable wastegate and adjustable fuel press regulator, 3 in downpipe, stock headers, K&N air filter, hotwire kit to fuelpump, stock 3.42 posi, aluminum drums, stock rims, VDO gauges. Ran 11.80 best on 009's and stock intercooler, trannys been rebuilt twice. Has Turbo Tweak race chip in now for the 60's. I have every original part except turbo. No ticks, knox or smoke. Drive it anywhere today with heat(tires may not be up to the trip). A/C disconnected due to front mount install but have the condensor/lines. I have all 4 orignal black wheel opening moldings in perfect shape, perfect GN/T- type hood insulation pad, perfect clear title in my name, original keys ( 2 sets).  Orinal aluminum turbine style wheels come with the car, NOT the Weld wheel/slicks n skinnies in some pics. VDO boost gauge and analog knock sensor included, but NOT the Autometer tach n oil pressure gauge on steering column. Ask all questions prior to bidding please. Bidders with less than 5 feedback scores are asked to email me before bidding. Shipping is your responsibility but I will assist your shipper in loading. Must be picked up within 30 days of end of auction. Vehicle must be paid in full within 7 days of end of auction.

After several inquiries about possible hidden rust, let me add more details to calm your concerns. This car is a rust-free car with NO bondo anywhere. I've owned hundreds of Indiana cars and several of these. I know the weak spots. That's why I have an extra pair of rust-free doors and trunklid, NOT selling with the car (unless winning bidder wants them) I bought this car in 97 with 94k miles on it and it was rock solid then with NO rust anywhere and a perfect body and had been repainted a few years earlier (nice original white paint again) likely due to the clearcoat peeling as that was common on mid-80's cars. I've been thru EVERY inch of this car over all the years I've owned it and never saw 1 sign it was ever wrecked or had any bondo anywhere (thus the clearcoat theory) I'm a BIG car guy and know cars and paint and rusted car issues. I drove it on the street the first few years (weather permitting) but never in the winter so it has NOT seen snow, salt since I've owned it. I garaged it every winter (and many summers until 2 years ago. The body was perfect then and only developed a couple of bubbling spots over the past 2 years from sitting outside with a cover over it (not fastened to the ground so air could get under it) on gravel. Two spots of paint bubbling emerged last year the size of a quarter at the bottom of the left quarter, but you can access the back side of those areas from the wheelhouse and see there is no rust emerging from the backside. I've seen bubbling like this before from poor adhesion of the primer. The frame is rustfree and perfect. The trunk is also rustfree and perfect everwhere (looks practically new). The floorboards seem perfect but the passenger side front is getting weak from a leaky window or windshield and dampness under the carpet (never did see exactly where the trouble was. From 99 on it's just seen occasional track action. The doors are solid on the bottom edge where they normally rust out. The trunk lid is solid along the bottom inside edge where they rust out. Both are starting to get some rust stains emerging from the welds at the bottom inside seams and will only get worse if not garaged, thus the reason for selling. The car has a few dings and chips that have surface rust starting and needs garaged. My garage spaces are full of Mopars, 68 Camaro and 69 427 Vette  so SOMETHINGS gotta give. I can't bear the thought of my beloved Turbo Regal rusting away outside another day. That's the ONLY reason I'm selling it. I don't need money. I HATE Indiana weather. I value my Ebay reputation tremendously as I sell often on here and have sold several cars and MANY motorcycles by giving accurate, detailed descriptions but avoid giving opinions, thus the flawless feedback score of many years and many transactions.. You will find nicer things about this car than you expected and some things not at nice. I try to describe as much as possible in order of importance with the limited time and space here, but can't describe every inch. Use the "ask seller a question" if I missed something important to you. Hope that helps.

On Mar-11-13 at 03:13:10 PDT, seller added the following information:

I have decided to include the extra  R & L doors complete with glass and electric window motors and mirrors. They are rustfree and straight. Also included with sale is a rustfree trunklid with center section of the GN spoiler. Also included is a pair of rustfree front fenders, a perfect grill, a GN front bumper(lighttweight aluminum brace) a perfect hood insulator and some other misc parts.

Buick celebrates 110 years by naming most significant model of each decade

Sun, 23 Jun 2013

In May of 1903, Buick began work on its first vehicle, the 1904 Model B, the first example of which was sold to a doctor in Flint, Michigan. That first sale was appropriate since later on, Buick became known as a "doctor's car." The Model B is the first of 11 cars chosen by Buick to highlight each decade of the company's 110-year history.
The 1916 D-45 Touring with a six-cylinder engine was Buick's highest seller that year, and helped push overall sales past six figures for the first time, making Buick the top-selling automotive brand. In 1931, Series 50 got an eight-cylinder engine, which helped the company survive the Great Depression. The 1936 Century was the first Buick that could hit 100 miles per hour, the 1949 Roadmaster had a supporting role in Rain Man, the 1953 Skylark had Italian wire wheels and the owner's name engraved on its steering wheel.
Then we have the iconic 1963 Riviera, the V6-powered 1975 Regal, and in 1987, the legendary GNX. With a turbocharged, intercooled V6 pumping out 276-horsepower it could hit 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds. In 1999 Buick built the first car in China, the Century, and that country remains the brand's largest market.

Buick Envision arrives in US next year

Fri, Jul 24 2015

In a detailed piece on what General Motors has planned for the Buick brand stateside, Automotive News reports that the Envision will finally come to the US a little more than a year from now, in the latter half of 2016. The size gap between the small Encore and the large Enclave is a perfect fit for the Chevrolet Equinox-sized Envision. Assuming this actually happens, it should excite both customers and Buick dealers. In China, the Envision uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 256 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, mated to a six-speed transmission. Before then, dealers sales forces will be preparing for the Cascada convertible, expected in Q1 next year. Later in 2016, around the same time as the Envision gets here, we can expect a redesigned Verano sedan. AN says it "should grow in length and interior roominess, similar to the Chevy Cruze," but the Verano already roughly matches or exceeds many Cruze dimensions. The Chinese-market Verano that premiered at the Shanghai Motor Show earlier this year probably holds some clues to what we'll see, but our version might not be an exact copy. A redesigned, lighter, and slightly larger LaCrosse will be right there with it. In 2017 the redesigned Regal appears. Following the trend, it also gets larger, but that's required because it needs to be more distinct from that larger Verano. AN suggests a new base engine will go in the Regal, perhaps something as small as the 1.5-liter turbo being lined up for the 2016 Chevy Malibu. At the other end, executives are said to be considering importing the diesel Opel Insignia wagon for the Regal lineup. If they bring the manual over, auto scribes will probably take the day off when the first one arrives, and make it an industry holiday.

Buick really wants us to know the new Cascada convertible won't leak

Thu, Apr 16 2015

Quality testing on the factory floor is nothing to joke about. Automakers need to make sure the work being done is up to snuff, and that means some extensive checks. For Buick, that means using a lot of water for each of its Cascada convertibles. Each vehicle that rolls off the floor is subject to a high-pressure, ten-minute soaking that sprays nearly 20 gallons of water from each nozzle during every bath, just to guarantee the fabric roof hasn't sprung any leaks. For some reason, Buick has chosen to show off this testing with the help of what we imagine is the Gorton's Fisherman's baby cousin. Check out the strange testing video, available up top.
