2001 Buick Regal Gs Supercharged 3.8 Liter Very Good Condition Low Miles on 2040-cars
Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States
Are you looking for a VERY reliable daily driver that is not only sporty and quick but also gets EXCELLENT gas mileage? Then this vehicle is for you!! Years ago General Motors came out with a power plant that would soon be known as being bulletproof and one of the most reliable engines ever designed, which is the 3800 (3.8 liter) V6. The 3800 has been used in MANY GM cars for years and happens to be the power plant in the vehicle I have for sale here. Up for auction is a 2001 Buick Regal GS which not only comes with the bulletproof 3800 Series II engine but also is SUPERCHARGED! The vehicle is in VERY good shape both inside and out with some imperfections, but has absolutely NO rust and the interior doesn't have ANY rips or tears. I had been driving a couple A to B cars and due to some financial problems I wasn't able to initially get a car loan. My father was willing to help me so I could get a car loan. I began working at a Chrysler dealership and one of the employee perks was being able to get a vehicle so the only reason for sale is because my work offered a vehicle, otherwise I would still be driving this car. It runs GREAT and is not only quick and fun to drive but it gets GREAT gas mileage. In addition Buicks are known for their EXCELLENT ride quality! I on average got 24-26 mpg on the highway and 95% of the miles were highway miles. As I said before this has the popular and VERY durable General Motors 3800 Series II block and has ONLY 82000 which if maintained is barely broke in for that specific power plant. The entire time I have owned it I have changed the oil every 2500 miles using Mobil One Synthetic oil and have only used Premium gasoline of 92 octane or higher. The vehicle has never been raced or beat on, the transmission fluid and filter have been changed and that has been it. The supercharger fluid was checked every oil change and none has ever had to be added. Many of these vehicles have had smaller supercharger pulley, under drive pulleys. upgraded supercharges, cold air intakes, different chips, etc but this vehicle is 100% stock with no modifications. The only performance item installed is a K & N panel filter in the factory air box. This vehicle is FULLY LOADED! It has leather interior, dual power seats, Monsoon stereo system, power windows, power locks and power mirrors. Being I live in MN I had bought a pair of Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 winter tires for the front and only drove 150 miles before I got my vehicle from my dealership. My father has a Tahoe with brand new Michelin all season tires on it and he had 4 wheel drive and with the Nokian R2s on my drive wheels I stopped 55ft sooner then he did on the snow and the Nokians allow the Regal to go up steep heels with EXTREME ease, they are by far the BEST winter tires I have ever used!! I do have the all season tires that were on the front and it does have all season tires on the rear with tread depths of 5/32 to 6/32 on them. I do owe $3,900 on it so the Buy it Now price is firm so that it can be fully paid off. Please ask any questions prior to bidding and if any other pics are wanted I will be more then happy to take them. The car is being stored at my dealership so if any other pics are wanted it may be the following business day before I can take them if the dealership is closed. I WILL sell to non local bidders but they are responsible for their own shipping arrangements.

Autotrader picks best cars for 2015's college grads
Sun, May 31 2015Summer is here and the school season is winding to a close. That means millions of students will be graduating college and (hopefully) entering the workforce. For many, that will mean buying a new car suited to the new stage in life into which they will now be embarking. That can be a bewildering choice, especially for someone who's never bought a car before. Fortunately, Autotrader has come up with a short list of recommended cars – new and used – which it recommends to the graduating class of 2015. Among the site's top choices are some compelling crossovers and hatchbacks, including the Buick Encore, Chevy Trax, and Jeep Renegade, as well as the Honda Fit, Nissan Versa Note, Mazda3 and Fiat 500. Can't stretch to buying new, or don't see the point? Autotrader has also identified the Toyota Camry, Ford Fusion and even the Lexus IS as smart buys in the certified pre-owned category. "Any time someone goes through a major life change, such as graduating college, they need to determine if their current ride makes sense for their lifestyle, from both a financial and functional perspective," says Autotrader editor Brian Moody. "For example, while that hand-me-down SUV from your parents was nice when you turned 16, you may want to opt for a safer, more fuel-efficient car as you transition into the working world." Autotrader Names 10 Best Cars for Recent College Graduates ATLANTA, May 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- For many, graduating college is a milestone like no other – it represents a new chapter, a proud accomplishment and, fortunately or unfortunately, financial independence. Luckily for graduates who are in the market for a new car to suit their post-college lifestyle, Autotrader's expert editors say now is a great time to make a purchase, as dealerships are flush with affordable models that are fun, fuel-efficient and thoughtfully designed. Neil Young to auction model train collection, classic cars
Thu, Nov 2 2017LOS ANGELES — Rock singer Neil Young is selling some of his most prized possessions — part of his model train and classic car collections. The Canadian folk-rock star is putting more than 230 of his vast collection of Lionel trains and some of his cars up for auction in Los Angeles in December. Some of the trains have estimated selling prices of up to $9,000, Julien's Auctions said on Thursday. Young, 71, known for his Woodstock-era songs as well as "Ohio," "Heart of Gold" and many, many others, has been a passionate model train enthusiast for more than 20 years. His collection and vast layouts at his California ranch took off in the early 1990s as a means of connecting with his son Ben, who has cerebral palsy, Young said. Young is also selling some of his classic car collection. They include: A first-in-production 1953 Buick Roadmaster Skylark convertible 50th anniversary special edition, with a steering wheel hub saying "customized for Neil Young," that has a pre-auction estimate of $200,000 to $300,000. A 1954 Cadillac Fleetwood Imperial eight-passenger limousine (estimate $30,000-$40,000) with the Cadillac crest styled "Broken Arrow" emblem on the rear passenger door, referring to both the Buffalo Springfield song and his ranch of the same name in Portola Valley, Calif. A 1948 Buick Roadmaster Hearse built by Flxible (estimate: $8,000-$10,000) used by Young and his band, The Squires, to haul equipment to gigs in the early 1960's. Dubbed "Mortimer," it's decorated with backstage passes and bumper stickers, and it inspired Young's song "Long May You Run." A 1941 Chrysler Series 28 Windsor Highlander two-door, three-person coupe (estimate: $15,000-$20,000), considered Chrysler's most prestigious model in its day. (For a closer look at Young's lifetime interest in cars, here's a New York Times interview from 2012, which includes an anecdote about the time he ate road tar. Or his memoir "Special Deluxe: A Memoir of Life & Cars," in which he recounts every car he ever owned, and describes how he wrote the lyrics for "Like a Hurricane" in the back of a friend's 1950 DeSoto. He promoted the book in this NPR interview. He also tipped us off to the return of the Lincoln Continental, and is known for his LincVolt plug-in biodiesel 1960 Lincoln.) As for Young's train collection, he designed a remote control that allows multiple trains to run at once, and a device that delivers realistic railroad audio to help his son get the most of out the hobby.
2018 Buick Regal GS is the best Regal since the GNX
Wed, Jul 19 2017The 2018 Buick Regal GS, the third and final variant of the all-new Buick Regal, was revealed this morning. At the event, we were given a brief chance to drive the Regal Sportback, the Regal TourX, and the Regal GS at GM's proving grounds in Milford, MI. Buick has been working hard to shed its image as the brand that comes with an AARP membership card in the glovebox, and this handsome trio is definitely on the right path. With a solid list of features at competitive prices, it's now going to be up to Buick's marketing division to get customers into showrooms. We should say right off the bat that while the old G-Body Grand National and GNX were hardcore giant slayers, the new Regal GS isn't intended to be so sharp edged. Those '80s machines were focused on 0-60 times, and looking as sinister as possible. The new Regal is far more civilized that its forebear. They may share a name, but the purpose has changed. The standard Regal Sportback starts at $25,915 - that's $2,470 less than the outgoing model. It might be the most attractive Buick in decades, at least on the outside. The interior is typical GM, meaning lots of colors and textures without a defining theme. It's powered solely by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four making 250 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a nine-speed automatic. From behind the wheel, the Regal Sportback is quiet, comfortable, and generally relaxed. The 2.0-liter turbo makes a decent amount of power, but the steering and handling remind you that this isn't a sport sedan. That's not a fault, simply a conscious design choice. Despite what some enthusiasts would lead you to believe, not everything needs to be set up for the N urburgring. The Regal Sportback soaks up bumps fairly well, though the car felt light going over some larger bumps on GM's handling course. The steering is completely dead, but it doesn't feel loose or sloppy. There's simply no feedback from the tires. On the other hand, the brakes were surprisingly good. The pedal was firm and confidence-inspiring. Stopping quickly from 60 mph provided no drama. View 12 Photos The $29,995 Regal TourX is a high-riding wagon in the vein of the Subaru Outback, Audi A4 Allroad, and Volvo V60 Cross Country. Like those three, the Regal TourX comes standard with some beefy plastic cladding and all-wheel drive, giving some pretense of off-road capability.
