I am selling my Park Avenue. I bought this car from my brother in law when my sister in law passed away. It was her car and was rarely used the last 2 years she had it. They were the original owners. I kept this car in MS and used it when I went home to visit family. I have owned it for almost 4 years. I havent put 2000 miles on it in that time. Then car is in great shape. Always garaged. No accidents or paint job. There are a few small dings from this or that but almost unnoticable. The paint is in great shape as the photos show. The interior is in great shape as well. Look at the photos of the interior, exterior, trunk, and engine area. You wont find one at this age in better shape. The tires have approx 1000 miles on them. Everything works except the tilt on the drivers seat does not go up or down. The motor works but it needs a gear for the motor. You can get them on ebay for $70 and fix it. Also, about 2 years ago, the digital odometer quit lighting up. The car had just under or just over 100,000 when I bought it but I cannot remember the exact mileage. So, I am selling it with mileage unknown as I cannot prove the exact mileage. You can see from the photos tha the car is above normal condition and hasnt had 2000 miles put on it in the last 4 years. 750 of that was me driving it back to Orlando. Also, the ashtray in the dash will not stay closed. I am sure it is a small fix but want to disclose everything. I have almost 300 transactions with 100% feedback. The car will be exactly as I say it is. Feel free to contact me with any questions. You are welcome to have the car inspected by a mechanic. I welcome it. GM laying off 510 amidst slow Cadillac, small car sales
Wed, 12 Nov 2014General Motors is laying off about 510 workers from two factories beginning in January, and it could be months before the automaker needs some of that latent capacity to come back on line. A combination of poor sales and high dealer inventories are prompting the cutbacks, according to Automotive News.
The largest changes come at GM's Lansing Grand River plant, where the Cadillac ATS and CTS are made. An entire shift of about 350 workers is being laid off, but the automaker hopes to find positions for some of them at other nearby factories. The decision leaves just a single shift building vehicles there. According to Automotive News, the move is partially spurred by Johan de Nysschen's plan to make Cadillac a more exclusive brand.
The lost shift will likely return for production of the next-generation Chevrolet Camaro at the plant, according to the report, but GM isn't saying when that will be. A previous announcement from the Canadian Auto Workers union indicated that the Oshawa, Ontario, factory would lose the coupe in late 2015 or early 2016.
Buick to add more GS models?
Fri, 29 Nov 2013Buick may not be the first name that comes to mind when you think of performance automobiles, but fans of the brand know what letters to look for. If you believe the reports, there's a new GNX and Grand National on the way, but in the meantime, Buick may offer more GS models to fill the void.
Currently, the Regal is the only model available as a GS (pictured above), packing the same 259-horsepower turbo four as the Regal Turbo but enhanced with key suspension, brakes and rolling-stock upgrades. As Car and Driver notes, similar upgrades could easily be applied to the Verano and LaCrosse, although maybe not the Encore or Enclave crossovers. Of course, Buick would still have to steer clear of Cadillac's Vsport line, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have a little room to play.
GM recalls 500K Chevy Camaros for ignition-switch defect
Fri, 13 Jun 2014General Motors issued a recall for more than a half million Chevrolet Camaros on Friday morning because of an ignition-switch safety hazard that mirrors the one at the center of the company's current crisis.
The problem affects Camaro models from the 2010 to 2014 model years. Approximately 464,712 cars are impacted in the United States, and 511,528 overall in North America. GM will alter the Camaro key to a more standard design, and will notify car owners with a recall notice in the mail.
In an announcement, the company said the ignition switches on the Camaros are fundamentally different parts than the older ignition switches found on defective cars that are responsible for killing at least 13 people and causing 54 crashes.
