Hi, up for bid is a gently used 1994 Buick Park Avenue. This car has been babied, I am the second owner, and I purchased the car from the original owner who was a friend of the family. The car currently has only 121,680 miles, low for a 19 year old car. Let me first say that the car comes equipped with the 3800 V6 motor which was one of the best GM made. The car leaks no fluids, and the transmission shifts easily. The car even gets 24 miles per gallon, great for a luxury car. The exterior color is emerald green. The paint is still very glossy, but it is original, not perfect. The underside of the trunk and hood are in great shape, as well as the interior of the trunk, very nice, and very large. The trunk is missing the carpet, removed when I purchased the car, but at least you can see that the trunk is solid. As for exterior flaws, the tailight section on the passenger side in the back has a dent due to the previous owner backing it into a pole, I have touched the paint up, hardly noticable, only cosmetic, never bothered me. The rocker panel on the passenger side is also rusted, a common problem with these cars. The rust is only on the bottom at the rocker panel, and the rest of the car is solid, I just never needed to fix it, that was a factory problem. As for the interior and options, the park avenue comes with full leather interior, no rips or tears. Power windows, power locks, cruise control, tilt, power seats, am/fm cassette, ice cold ac and heat, every option for the car for that year. Inside the only problem is the automatic lock on the passenger front door door sticks, you have to unlock it manually. Overall the car is a 7 out of 10. As stated, there are no mechanical problems, I change the oil every 3,000 miles with synthetic oil. The trnsmission was flushed at 80,000 miles with a filter and also performs great. The car comes with all manuals, 2 sets of keys with keyfobs, and a clear title. This car has been my daily driver for the past two years, but I am looking for a truck. If you are in the market for a dependable older model car with no mechanical problems this is the car for you, I would not hesitate to take this car on any trip, no matter the distance, and it still rides as smoothly as a new car, you can barely feel any bumps. Let the pictures speak for themselves, you will not be disappointed. I had this car listed about a week ago and had a buyer that wanted the car so I ended the auction. Unfortunatly, the buyer could not obtain the funds to purchase the car , so it is back up for sale. I apologize to anyone who was watching or bidding on this car last week. Please e mail with any questions. Thanks.

Question of the Day: Coolest factory-supercharged car?
Thu, Apr 28 2016Last week, we discussed possible engine-swap recipients for the plentiful-in-every-junkyard Eaton-supercharged GM 3800 V6 engine. The Buicks, Oldsmobiles, and Pontiacs that came with that engine from the factory were reasonably cool, of course, but when you look at all the production cars that have been available with supercharging over the decades you can find some pretty amazing stuff. My personal favorite has to be the Paxton-blown Studebaker Larks of the early 1960s, partly because the Lark was just about the stodgiest-looking, sleepiest little sedan available in America, possibly the most ridiculous recipient of a howling force-fed V8 imaginable, and partly because of the name of the optional supercharged 289-cubic-inch V8 you could get in the Lark: Jet-Thrust! What do you say is the coolest factory-supercharged car of all time? Related Video: Auto News Buick Automotive History Performance Classics supercharger questions
Buick to use Velite name for its Cascada?
Mon, Dec 1 2014Ever since Opel brought out the Cascada convertible last year, rumors have been flying that Buick would offer it Stateside – much like it does with the Insignia-based Regal and the Astra-based Verano. And now we might have our best clue yet as to what Buick might call it. According to GM Authority, General Motors has filed to use the name Velite on a new model. The name first appeared on a convertible concept unveiled over a decade ago at the 2004 New York Auto Show (pictured above), but GM reportedly opened an application to trademark the nameplate for production in 2011, seeking extensions on its application every six months since. Of course the fact that it's applied for its fifth extension (of a permissible six) doesn't necessarily mean that GM will ultimately bring the cabriolet to US showrooms, or that it will use the Velite name if it does, but the fact that GM is keeping the name alive could be a good sign. The market for relaxed four-seat convertibles has been shrinking, leaving it up to drop-top muscle cars like the Chevy Camaro and Ford Mustang. But with entries like the Toyota Camry Solara, Volkswagen Eos and Chrysler 200 Convertible having dropped off the market, the Buick Velite (or Cascada, or whatever it's ultimately called) could have the sedate cabriolet segment all to itself – even if (or especially if) Lexus dealers aren't interested in touching it.
Texas sues GM, saying it tricked customers into sharing driving data sold to insurers
Wed, Aug 14 2024Texas filed a lawsuit Tuesday against GM over years of alleged abuse of customers' data and trust. New car owners were presented with a "confusing and highly misleading" process that was implied to be for their safety, but "was no more than a deceptively designed sales flow" that surrendered their data for GM to sell. The suit contends that at no point was selling driving data ever even suggested as a possibility, putting GM in violation of the state's consumer protection laws. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is seeking a jury trial and at least $10,000 per offense (every GM car sold in the state since 2015) and a hefty add-on of $250,000 in cases where the victim was over 65. Texas seems to be flying high after a recent $1.4 billion settlement from Meta over other privacy concerns. This may well be a way to solve any pending budgetary issues in the Lone Star State.
