2004 Buick Lesabre Custom, Front Wheel Drive, 97K miles, 3.8 engine - V6. Exterior and Interior are in GREAT condition. NADA book says it's worth $6350 Retail. It's an automatic, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, power driver's seat. COLD A/C, NO cracks in the dash whatsoever, AM-FM radio and CD player work great. Tires have 90% tread, NEW plugs and wires, cruise, steering wheel controls for radio/CD player. 2 minor scratches on left passenger door and a couple of small dings on the very front of the hood. The area above the right rear bumper has a little bit of paint that is peeling. NO rust. Body is in superb shape. Drives like a dream.
If you want a CarFax or an AutoCheck report on this car......well, don't pay them the big bucks for that report. I used VehicleHistoryRecord.com and get the SAME information that they have access to. Just go to that website, enter the VIN, and the report cost a DOLLAR. Right, just a buck. I already ran it on my car and it all comes back clean...........no negative issues at all. This car is my daily driver. The "engine" light came on a couple of days ago. I took it over to my local Advance Auto Parts and they hooked up their computer to the car and the code came back as P0650. Possible causes: - Faulty Malfunction Indicator Lamp Bulb - Malfunction Indicator Lamp Bulb harness is open or shorted - Malfunction Indicator Lamp Bulb circuit poor electrical connection - Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)..................PS---I just found a used ECM on E-Bay for $35 The car still runs just fine. I can't tell one difference in anything since that light came on. I just want to be honest with any potential buyers out there. I don't like surprises any more than you do. Buyer MUST send me a $500 Deposit thru Paypal within 48 hours after auction closes. The remaining balance MUST be paid in CASH when you pick up the car. Thank you. Buick Envision to go on sale in third quarter of 2015
Mon, 06 Oct 2014Following an earlier concept and successive teasers, Buick revealed the new Envision crossover a little over a month ago. The thing is, it was launched in China, for China. The question, then, is whether it will make the jump to the North American market. And the answer is: quite possibly.
According to division sales chief Duncan Aldred in speaking to Edmunds, Buick is looking into the prospect of bringing the Envision to the US: "We can't confirm anything, but clearly it is a very nicely designed and executed product that is very much a Buick," said Aldred.
If and when the compact crossover would appear in US showrooms, it would slot in between the smaller Encore and the larger Enclave. It would likely be offered in front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive and mild hybrid configurations. Sources expect it to arrive in the third quarter of 2015 as a competitor to the likes of the Mercedes GLA, Lexus NX and Lincoln MKC.
GM recalls 51k Enclave, Traverse, Acadia crossovers over fuel gauge inaccuracy
Mon, 05 May 2014With all eyes fixed on General Motors in the wake of the ignition recall debacle, the auto giant has been carefully calling in a wide array of vehicles to fix anything and everything that could prove problematic. Just the other day it issued two separate recalls - one concerning the Cadillac SRX and another its heavy-duty pickups - and now it is issuing another.
This time the vehicles in question are the Buick Enclave, Chevy Traverse and GMC Acadia, three fullsize crossovers based on GM's Lambda platform. In an estimated 51,640 units manufactured between March 26 and August 15, 2013, the engine control module has been found to incorrectly display the level of fuel in the tank.
As a result, owners are being notified to bring their vehicles in to their local dealers to have the ECU reflashed to fix the problem. View the full details in the announcement below from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Hyundai tops VW and Buick in China, survey says
Wed, Apr 15 2015You may be aware of the long-time competition in China between Volkswagen and Buick, but another brand apparently should be in that conversation too: Hyundai. In a recently published annual consumer survey, the Korean company actually took the top spot to beat out its German and American rivals in second and third, respectively. The results were part of the China Brand Power Index that interviewed 11,500 people around the nation and was paid for by the country's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. While Hyundai proved popular with voters, its sales haven't necessarily shown that yet. According to Bloomberg, the brand had falling numbers in China for the first quarter of the year. Even Ford outsold the South Korean automaker in the same period, despite scoring lower on the survey. Meanwhile, Audi ranked as the populace's favorite luxury brand, which is hardly a surprise given the Four Rings' strong sales in China. In January alone the automaker saw a 15-percent boost in volume there. Parent company VW's strong performance was somewhat more surprising, though. State media severely criticized the German automaker in March, and customers protested last year for the allegedly poor handling of a recall.
