1992 Buick Lasabre - Blue velvet/microfibre seats. some normal wear but good shape, no tears and not much wear. Ready to drive anywhere anytime,100 percent mechanicaly sound. original owner, she ordered it with every detail she wanted right down to the style of alloy rims and vogue orange stripe whitewall vogue tires. has had extreme care from day one, over last two years at 50,000 everything has been done, new brakes all 4 wheels, brake fluid flush and refill, transmission fluid flush, new filter and gasket, cooling system flush and new thermostat. A/C system flush, new oil and freon and a/c compressor rebuilt with all new seals. Car has never been in accident, Car was re-painted in 2009 and new top was done in 2010. Paint has a few cosmetic issues, a couple of light scratches and a little paint off at front top of hood near grill from car wash wear, original paint color was ivory white and she had it painted white white. Personally i think she wasted her money, there was nothing wrong with the original paint, no damage, looked good, she just got used to seeing the new cars in that bright white, although i don't think the place that painted it did such a great job, don't get me wrong it looks nice but if you hand wash or wax the car you will se some defects and area's of overspray like slightly rough dullish area's and inside the doors were not painted, i understand under the hood is a tough area to paint but being there was no damage or rust the prep was minimal and it body shop was a highly reccomended, she had seen his repair work that was perfict but guess he never painted a whole car and it wasn't a cheap 99 dollar special, it cost her 3000, i expected better i guess, although it looks good over all it's not perfict. i just want anyone interested to know after seeing the uploaded pictures it does look better in the photo's than in person. Smooth ride and strong engine. Everything works as it should, only one thing is the rear driver side door power lock does not lock or unlock with the remote, and being a Buick the car has a full length three piece heat sheild, most just have it over the catalic converter but it runs from the very front to the rear of the car and about five years ago it was rattling so i took it to service station and he found where the heat sheild connects and overlaps near the very front section the tab on one side was loose and the machanic put a rivit in it and it's been quiet ever since till last winter then after the weather was above 50 to 60 degrees it's been quiet so kinda forgot about it.now, there a slight rattle only when you just start it up for about two or three minutes only when it's below 50 to 60 degrees but goes away after about two or three minutes of running. No other issues, no leaks, needs nothing. The car was my husbands mom's car and she passed away in December so he just doesen't wan't to see it any more. The car needs to be driven, not good for a car to sit, over the past two years it's only had about 600 miles put on it. I'd like anyone intrested to see car in person and drive it to see for themsleves before any money is exchanged. I belive in being 100 percent honest about everything i do. Guess thats why i have a 100 percent ebay ratting. If the sale is made from someone that has seen it on ebay i will make sure ebay gets their payment. i want buyer to see and drive car so local pick up in new rochelle ny. only or i will drive car to them within reasonable distance. Please contact me through ebay with any questions or e-mail at my ebay link at cutlass17@aol.com. Thankyou for viewing and good luck.

Buick picks top 11 highlights from first 11 decades

Sun, 21 Apr 2013

Buick has taken the time to highlight some of the company's personal points of pride from the past 110 years. Those include everything from the automaker's very first vehicle, the 1904 Model B, to what Buick claims is the world's first concept car: The 1938 Y Job (above). That one also walked away with the worst name for a design study.
All told, the automaker has sold 43 million vehicles through the end of last year, and those include the lusty 1963 Riviera. That model celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2013, and remains one of the brand's most iconic designs.
Of course, Buick is rightfully proud of its quickest model, too. The 1987 GNX managed a 4.6-second bolt to 60 mph in tests by Car and Driver, and it also took the honor of being one of the automaker's rarest creations at just 547 units. You can check out all 10 in the gallery above.

Texas sues GM, saying it tricked customers into sharing driving data sold to insurers

Wed, Aug 14 2024

Texas filed a lawsuit Tuesday against GM over years of alleged abuse of customers' data and trust. New car owners were presented with a "confusing and highly misleading" process that was implied to be for their safety, but "was no more than a deceptively designed sales flow" that surrendered their data for GM to sell. The suit contends that at no point was selling driving data ever even suggested as a possibility, putting GM in violation of the state's consumer protection laws. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is seeking a jury trial and at least $10,000 per offense (every GM car sold in the state since 2015) and a hefty add-on of $250,000 in cases where the victim was over 65. Texas seems to be flying high after a recent $1.4 billion settlement from Meta over other privacy concerns. This may well be a way to solve any pending budgetary issues in the Lone Star State.

2017 Buick LaCrosse gets Avenir-inspired tease

Wed, Sep 23 2015

Stylish touches from the beautiful Buick Avenir Concept are actually hitting the road on the front end of the new 2017 LaCrosse. The brand is showing off this single teaser of a more angular grille surround than what is currently seen on its lineup. In the center there's a three-color version of the well-known Tri-Shield badge. Chrome wings meet at the logo, and vertical chrome bars lead the eye up over the body. A version of this design is eventually becoming part of the entire Buick lineup by 2018. Debuting at the 2015 Los Angles Auto Show in November, the future LaCrosse rides on stronger, lighter underpinnings than the current model. It also gets a five-link rear suspension. The company promises that the changes mean a more engaging drive from the sedan. "The Avenir concept shattered expectations of what a Buick could be and the 2017 LaCrosse promises to do the same," Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick, said in the release of the teaser image. The show car's look was highly praised by critics when it debuted at this year's Detroit Auto Show. The Avenir even won Eyes on Design awards for Best Designed Concept Vehicle and Innovative Use of Color, Graphics, and Materials. A striking evolution from current Buick models, LaCrosse features a grille design that puts a new face on the brand, including a new, three-color tri-shield insignia set on a wing-shaped element. Contrasting with darkened waterfall grille bars and spanning the width of the opening, it connects the grille and headlamps, and emphasizes LaCrosse's new sculptural surfacing. The design was introduced on the Avenir concept and was inspired by the 1954 Wildcat II concept. It's a face all Buick models will adopt by 2018. "The Avenir concept shattered expectations of what a Buick could be and the 2017 LaCrosse promises to do the same," said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick. "Its expressive design represents a break from convention and highlights the progressiveness in all new Buick models." The next-generation LaCrosse's design is framed on an all-new chassis that is stronger yet lighter than the current model and serves as the foundation for a more dynamic driving experience.
