1964 Buick Le Sabre 4-door Hardtop 300-4 V-8 Super Turbine on 2040-cars
Warren, Ohio, United States
As
optional equipment, a four-barrel carbureted 300 engine with a three-speed Super Turbine 400 automatic
transmission was
ordered with this car. It produces 250 horsepower with a 11.0:1 compression
ratio. The better equipped
"Custom" Trim is also on this car, easily identifiable by its full
length chrome side molding with a brushed metal insert. The regular LeSabre had
a narrow trim piece on the rear third of the body. Car also has Power steering,
power brakes, and A/c. The car is all original with surface rust. The only
rotted through hole is on the rear passenger side door as shown in the picture.
The under side of the car is clean and not rotted what looks to be rust in the
picture is actually mud on the rear end housing. The trunk and floors are solid
as well. If you would like pictures of specific parts of the car feel free to
ask and I will send them. The car was last on the road in 2005 and has been
sitting ever since it does run and drive I start it once a week let it run and
drive it around the yard to keep everything in working condition. I would not
recommend driving it on the street because it has been sitting so long until
you go over the brakes and replace the dry rotted tiers. But as I said it runs
and drives around the yard and can be driven onto a trailer. All of the trim is
with the car the ONLY piece missing is 1 rear hub cap. Interior is in very nice
shape for an original 1964. No tears in the seats and head liner is in nice
shape.
Payment is due
within 5 days of purchase unless otherwise discussed between buyer and seller. |

Buick might be getting a logo makeover
Fri, 23 Nov 2012General Motors has finished off an extensive model overhaul for its Buick division, but along with its updated cars, the brand might also be getting a new logo. According to the Detroit Free Press, GM North America President Mark Reuss indicated that the Buick tri-shield logo could be getting a makeover, but offered no further information.
It is unlikely Buick will completely redesign or replace its current logo, but the article seems to indicate that it might return to color; although all chrome now, the logo used to feature red, white and blue shields. Head on over to the Detroit Free Press article to look at some past Buick logos including one from 1904.
1969 Chevrolet Chevelle vs 1987 Buick GNX in Generation Gap showdown
Wed, 15 Oct 2014Generation Gap generally tries to adhere to a theme for each episode, and for the final video from the Lingenfelter collection, the series might have its best idea yet - limited-production muscle cars from General Motors.
On one side you get a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle COPO, and it's an absolute sleeper. Other than the SS wheels, this classic coupe looks practically bone stock, at least until the engine fires up. Under the hood is a 427-cubic-inch (7.0-liter) V8 making a claimed 425 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. This was the sole year for the COPO package on the Chevelle, and Chevy only made about 323 of them.
The Chevelle's challenger is almost as rare and arguably just as cool. The 1987 Buick Grand National GNX looks just as mean today as when new. It eschews a traditional muscular V8 in favor of a 3.8-liter turbo V6 making a claimed 276 hp and 360 lb-ft, although that number is supposedly a bit underrated. Also, just 547 examples of the GNX version were ever built making it quite a collector's item too.
2014 Buick LaCrosse to sticker at $34,060*
Tue, 18 Jun 2013Buick first showed the facelifted 2014 LaCrosse at this year's New York Auto Show, and General Motors' luxury-ish arm has now confirmed that pricing for the updated sedan will start at $34,060 (*including $925 for destination), a increase of $1,505 over the 2013 model.
Buyers will be treated to an updated appearance, both inside and out. On the outside, tweaks were made to the LaCrosse's front and rear fascias, and new wheels are on offer (though the ones seen on the car pictured above seem to have been simply pulled from the 2011 Regal Turbo). Inside, there's a much cleaner center stack layout, complete with a standard eight-inch reconfigurable touchscreen IntelliLink interface. Buick is also offering a new Ultra Luxury interior package ($2,495), featuring Tamo Ash wood throughout the cabin, black synthetic suede on the headliner and leather seats in a new sangria color. Standalone options include different wheels, Bose audio, rear seat entertainment, navigation and a sunroof.
The 2014 LaCrosse's base powertrain is the trusty 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with eAssist, which is capable of achieving up to 36 miles per gallon on the highway. But for folks wanting more power, a 304-horsepower, 3.6-liter V6 is available as a no-cost option, available with either front- or all-wheel drive.
