Museum 2,627k Mile Turbo Buick Regal Grand National Original - Exceptional! on 2040-cars
Old Town, Florida, United States
2,627K MILE ORIGINAL TURBOCHARGED BUICK GRAND NATIONAL
Grand Nationals that have not been modified and been kept in
outstanding original condition are getting very rare indeed. How about one that
has only 2,627K miles and has been kept original and pampered its entire life.
The ones in this condition don’t come up for sale often. The market on these
has been climbing making these GN's clearly collectible and desirable for all
car collectors. Check out the Hagerty website on-line car value guide and you
will see the value for GN’s increasing and GNX decreasing. This GN is
outstanding and matching numbers in all aspects. It was an occasional driver and
trailered to shows and never modified or driven hard. 100% stock and original. There are some GN’s that are considered ‘lightweights’ by the GN collectors. These are cars did come with T-tops (that DOES NOT leak), NO power windows, NO power door locks, NO power seats, and NO cruise control. Very desirable. This is one of those rare ‘lightweights’. I have never seen another with the T-top option as a ‘lightweight’. Simply put, original and very fast. It does have AM/FM stock radio and the G80 posi rear-end. This GN performs exceptionally - as new. It is very quick and aggressive. It needs no mechanical attention in its completely stock form. New battery installed January 2014. The AC unit needs to be recharged, minor detail. The vehicle does not have a hint of rust. It is tight and handles and stops superbly. It still wears its original tires that are not dry rotted or flat spotted. Exterior cosmetics: The black paint is original and looks great; the car has never been hit or been repaired. The paint and body panels are exactly as it left the manufacturing plant in September 1987. The GN’s only modification is the professional installation of side and rear window tinting. The interior is exceptional! No wear, stains or cracks. It smells like a factory new GN when you open the doors. Never smoked in or mistreated in any fashion and no alterations from stock equipment have been made. Special Note: Vehicle comes with full ownership documentation, purchase & sales brochures, and the original sales agreement. Additionally, the GN comes with DUSTOP cover for maximum dust protection for indoor storage and with an exterior Weathershield car cover. Even signed by Molly (now deceased) on the 20th reunion celebration for the Buick GN (in 2007)! As with all used collector cars this is sold as is and there is no warranty expressed or implied. It is your responsibility to bid and purchase based only on your own inspection/examination of the vehicle and the facts. Please feel free to contact me with your questions and with any assistance you might require in bidding or finalizing the sale.
A very reasonable reserve has been set for this magnificent vehicle!
Payment and deposit for this vehicle is to be by Wire
Transfer or Certified Funds (cashier check).
The required deposit for this superb GN is $1,000.00 within 48 hours

GM follows up Lambda CUV stop-sale with tire recall
Mon, Feb 9 2015In late January, General Motors announced a stop-sale for about 6,281 examples of the 2015 Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave because of the possibility for the treads cracking on their 18-inch Goodyear Fortera HL tires. At the time, GM said that this would also eventually lead to a safety campaign to repair the problem, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has just published those details. GM's recall covers 5,876 of the three Lambda platform crossovers to replace their tires. According to NHTSA, if the treads crack, there could be a loss of pressure and possible failure. Goodyear already announced its own recall of the tires after internal testing found small tread cracks. The company did not believe this was safety issue, but the problem did put the rubber out of compliance with federal laws. The business's safety campaign covered an estimated 48,512 tires. Of those, around 32,000 were reportedly made for GM to either be fitted to vehicles or sold as replacements. The remainder went to the aftermarket. Goodyear's portion of the recall is expected to begin around February 20. RECALL Subject : Tire Tread Cracking/FMVSS 110 Report Receipt Date: JAN 28, 2015 NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V044000 Component(s): TIRES Potential Number of Units Affected: 5,876 All Products Associated with this Recall Vehicle Make Model Model Year(s) BUICK ENCLAVE 2015 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE 2015 GMC ACADIA 2015 Details Manufacturer: General Motors LLC SUMMARY: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015 Buick Enclave vehicles manufactured December 9, 2014, to January 14, 2015, 2015 Chevrolet Traverse vehicles manufactured December 9, 2014, to January 20, 2015, and 2015 GMC Acadia vehicles manufactured December 9, 2014, to January 16, 2015, and all equipped with Goodyear P255/65R18 Fortera HL tires. These vehicles are equipped with tires that may experience tread cracking. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 110, "Tire Selection and Rims and Motor Home/Recreation Vehicle Trailer Load Carrying Capacity Information for Motor Vehicles with a GVWR of 4,536 kilograms (10,000 pounds) or Less." CONSEQUENCE: If the tire treads crack, a loss of tire pressure and possible tire failure may result, increasing the risk of a crash. REMEDY: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the tires that were manufactured within a specific date range, free of charge.
GM laying off 510 amidst slow Cadillac, small car sales
Wed, 12 Nov 2014General Motors is laying off about 510 workers from two factories beginning in January, and it could be months before the automaker needs some of that latent capacity to come back on line. A combination of poor sales and high dealer inventories are prompting the cutbacks, according to Automotive News.
The largest changes come at GM's Lansing Grand River plant, where the Cadillac ATS and CTS are made. An entire shift of about 350 workers is being laid off, but the automaker hopes to find positions for some of them at other nearby factories. The decision leaves just a single shift building vehicles there. According to Automotive News, the move is partially spurred by Johan de Nysschen's plan to make Cadillac a more exclusive brand.
The lost shift will likely return for production of the next-generation Chevrolet Camaro at the plant, according to the report, but GM isn't saying when that will be. A previous announcement from the Canadian Auto Workers union indicated that the Oshawa, Ontario, factory would lose the coupe in late 2015 or early 2016.
Two nearly new 1987 Buick Grand National 'twins' found in garage after 30 years
Fri, Apr 7 2017Back in the '80s, a Buick Grand National could leave a lot of vehicles in its dust. The final, 1987 version of the menacingly styled performance coupe produced 245 horsepower and 355 pound feet of torque, and it was never designed to sit still, let alone for 30 years. But two low-mile Grand Nationals did just that. At the time, it was widely known that nothing like the Grand National would be built again, as the Regal platform would be moving to front-wheel drive. So a lot of buyers stockpiled Grand Nationals and rarer GNX versions with the idea of making a buck on them when they gained value. Some people even bought several. That's what happened to these two cars, recently unearthed from their slumber. Thirty years of storage has turned them into barn finds instead of showroom beauties, and they haven't exactly been flawlessly preserved. A story reported on gm-efi.com shows the cars – the "Twins," as they're called – parked side to side, the way they were laid to rest decades ago, with thick dust on them. Two enthusiasts, Shawn Matthews and William Avila, originally contacted the owner, who had posted them for sale on Facebook with a staggering $200,000 asking price. After inspecting the cars and confirming they were legit, the prospective buyers managed to strike a deal for an undisclosed sum. The story does say the seller was a bit eccentric, demanding money in hand before the cars could be touched at all, but the cars were eventually acquired and transported to a shop for desperately needed refurbishing. Time has caused the headliners on both cars to droop, and it's obvious all gaskets and fluids will need to be addressed, but both cars have extremely low odometer readings: One has 807 miles on the clock, while the other hasn't even reached 600. The car with a more miles was moved "once in a while," so clearly the original owner couldn't resist giving it a go while the other one slept. We couldn't've, either.
