Calloway Performance 3.8l T-tops on 2040-cars
Utica, New York, United States
You are bidding on a well-cared for 1987 Buick Grand National. It has been stored without driving for the last 3 years. It was professionally rebuilt in June 2001 by Calloway Performance, Sarasota Fl. See the photos for proof. I bought it in 2003 and it still runs like a bear. I hit the drag strip with it only twice on grudge match day, and pulled a 12.75 and 12.82. That is with the street tires and a less than professional driver (me). She burns rubber when changing gears. This car is loaded up with performance goodies. See the photo of the work sheet. The Good: The engine was balanced and blueprinted, heads ported and polished with stainless valves. Hot fuel kit, Kenne Bell Chip, Pilar post gauges, 3:41 Rear End. Transmission kit with HP Torque Converter. 2 1/2 “ Stainless Steel Exhausts with headers, and NO catalytic converter. Just straight dual exhausts. New brakes, slotted rotors with ceramic pads. New rear shoes and spring kit. New front driver seat cover. I have the passenger seat cover, but did not install it. The interior is in GREAT condition. I took it to Ron’s Automotive in New Jersey 6 years ago for a tune up and once over. The Bad: T-Tops leak (so what else is new?). Got wet in storage and the water sat on the DRIVER side floor and now will need a floor pan exactly where your feet sit. Floor pan kit available for about $110. You will also need to fix the rust where the front of the T-Tops meet the windshield. That is also available on eBay for about $400. The Ugly: The exterior is RUST FREE. But it will need a few scrapes fixed and a new paint job. Still looks good from afar. Up close, a lot of blemishes and paint chips. The engine still runs like a bear, but you can hear a vacuum leak somewhere under the dash when you get on it. I will continue to try to figure this out, since it was just taken out of storage. The engine leaks a very small couple of drops of oil onto the Exhaust manifold on the left side. It may be just the valve cover gasket. I installed a radio 3 or four year ago and didn’t have the correct adapter, so I wired it myself. Unfortunately, I did a bad job. The radio works most of the time, but if you hit a hard bump, the radio cuts out. The car has a remote starter/security system that was installed in 04. It needs to be replaced. The security lights and headlights flash on and off occasionally. Other than these nuisances, the car runs great and even gets respectable gas mileage.

2020 Buick Encore GX revealed as a bigger smaller crossover
Wed, May 29 2019The crossover craze has taken root throughout the car industry, but especially at Buick. The company says that 90% of its sales are of the upright utilities. So it's no surprise the brand is adding yet another model to the line-up, the 2020 Buick Encore GX. Despite the name, the Encore GX doesn't appear to share anything with the current Encore, as GM says it uses a new platform. It's also larger than the regular Encore, though it's also smaller than the midsize Envision. One area in which its slightly bigger size benefits the GX is that it has nearly five more cubic feet of cargo space than the current Encore. Other details about the crossover are scant. Buick hasn't even said what engine or transmission will be used. Buick did say the Encore GX will feature automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection and lane-keep assist as standard features, with the rear-camera mirror as an option. The current Encore will continue to be sold alongside the Encore GX, and it won't be replaced with the version shown at the Shanghai Auto Show. Pricing and availability will be announced later, along with other vehicle details.
Top-of-the-line 2018 Buick Regal TourX costs $43,795
Tue, Nov 28 2017Buick has unveiled an online configurator for the 2018 Regal TourX wagon, and it shows that picking the full suite of premium options puts the sport wagon at $43,795. That prices it under its Regal GS Sportback sibling and competitors like the Volvo V60 Cross Country and Audi A4 Allroad. The luxury hatchback starts at $29,995 and is available in three trim options: TourX 1SV, Preferred ($33,575) and Essence ($35,945). All are powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that puts out 250 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque and drives an eight-speed automatic transmission. Intelligent all-wheel-drive with active twin-clutch, start-stop technology and 18-inch painted aluminum wheels are also standard. There are eight exterior color options, including Sport Red and Summit White for no extra charge, and two options for the interior at no extra charge. Driver Confidence package options come with things like LED headlamps, 4-way lumbar seat adjuster and rear park assist for $1,725, and various driver-assist technologies including adaptive cruise control and forward collision alert for an additional $1,190. A panoramic moonroof will set you back $1,200. At 73.5 cubic feet with the second-row seats folded down, Buick says the TourX boasts more overall cargo space than the Subaru Outback, Volvo V60 Cross Country, Audi A4 Allroad and BMW 3-series Sport Wagon. The rear hatch area offers 32.7 cubic feet with the seats up.Related Video:
Buick Envision CUV launches in China, is America next?
Fri, 29 Aug 2014Buick is launching its new midsize Envision crossover in China at the Chengdu Motor Show, where it will slot between the subcompact Encore and larger Enclave. While it might be hard to muster too much excitement about a Chinese-market crossover, don't completely ignore this one. There's a very good chance it could be on sale in North America to fill the same hole in the brand's lineup over here, possibly as a 2016 model.
We recently spied the Envision completely undisguised as it was arriving at the Chengdu show for its debut. The CUV still looks like a stretched Encore from some front angles, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's got a similar oversized grille, hood vents (presumably faux) and large greenhouse as its little brother. Where the midsize CUV differs is its prominent crease running down the side and the different rear treatment, with wing-shaped trim cutting into the taillights.
The interior looks like a pretty nice place to spend time, too, with a predictable mix of leather, wood and metal, and it should be quiet in there with its active noise cancelation system. Infotainment is provided by an eight-inch touchscreen with a touchpad and voice controls.
