Overview
This is a true Grand National made to look like a GNX. Badging is only on the front grill and rear bumper as the GNXs were done, has wheel flares, side heat extractors, GNX turbo cover, 16 inch GNX style wheels and center caps. Also has the GNX gauge cluster in dash in lieu of the original analog 0 to 85 speedometer. This car is beautiful, almost flawless, has tons of power. Very quick. I am the fourth owner and have the previous titles.
Paint/Body
The paint is 6 years old and I would rate it a 9.5. Near perfect! Original metal all around, very sound body. It has both the upper and lower front fender bracing, and the bracing behind the rear seat. Stock Grand Nationals did not come with this, and the bracing certainly helps the rigidity for the torque this car has. New GNX door sill plates.
Interior
Impeccable with the exception of a wear or thin spot on the driver's seat right where your left knee would be. Not a burn mark or stain, just thin. Can't see it in the pictures as the color still matches the rest of the gray portion of the seat. Power antenna, power windows, locks, etc., all mechanicals work as they should. T-Top bags included, regular floor mats and GNX floor mats, and original owners manual. Again, GNX style gauges with 39,500 original miles. (original gauge set up included with car) Car Fax will verify, Auto Check will add 100,000 miles to it. A New York inspection in 2004 added 100,000 miles of driving since the previous inspection in 2002. Car Fax researched it and corrected it, Auto Check would not respond.
Suspension/Exhaust
New springs and Bilstein shocks added in 2009. Hooker high flow aluminum exhaust and mufflers, cat delete. GNX 16 inch wheels with BF Goodrich g-force tires, P245/50zr front and 255/50zr back with less than 4000 miles on them. Note the GNX differential cover, but car does not have the unique GNX ladder bar suspension.
Engine/Transmission
Now for the fun stuff. Engine and transmission are original and have not been apart. In lieu of the stock 28 pound injectors are 36 pound injectors. Car also has big mouth K&N air filter, polished air plenum, larger stage III turbo bell, billet fuel pressure regulator, fuel pressure gauge on fuel rail, hot wire set up for fuel pump, 93 octane chip, new alternator and battery. Air conditioner has been converted in 2008.
Summary
You'll notice my description is very factual and to the point, so you know exactly what you are getting. In my view, this is one of the most stunning beauties you'll find. It is an extremely quick and fast car that is a blast to drive, yet has all the comfort of a Buick. The Grand Nationals came loaded with options from concert sound AM/FM/Cassette, cruise, tilt, etc. You name it. You will not be disappointed. Feel free to ask questions via eBay.

GM program sees dealers taking on way more loaner cars
Wed, Dec 17 2014Given the volume of vehicles we're talking about, this is a significant development for GM's bottom line. Bring your car into the dealership for service, and you may need a loaner car in exchange. And with so many recalls being carried out, that means a lot of loaners – especially at General Motors dealerships. That could be one of the reasons why GM is massively expanding its loaner fleet program. While many Chevrolet and Buick-GMC dealerships have an on-site rental car location operated by a third party like Enterprise (which may or may not provide a GM vehicle), others manage their own loaner fleets. But while the range of dealerships operating such fleets was once small, reports Automotive News, the number has been growing rapidly: from the locations responsible for only 20 percent of those brands' sales two years ago to about 90 percent today. The impetus for that growth comes down to a massive expansion of GM's Courtesy Transportation Program. The initiative encourages dealers to ramp up their loaner fleet to a maximum size determined by GM, with a mix determined by the dealer itself, so that a showroom in Texas can be bolstered with a fleet of pickup trucks and a dealer in California can employ more Volt and Camaro Convertible loaners. The dealership gets a $500 credit for each vehicle its puts in its fleet, and can use those vehicles as loaners for service customers, as multi-day test drivers or to rent out separately. The vehicles remain in the dealer's fleet for 90 days or 7,500 miles, then they can be sold as used, but with new-car incentives. The dealer gets a fleet of loaners, customers get to use the loaners, try out a new car overnight or buy a barely used car with attractive incentives, and GM gets to clock more sales. But therein lies the kicker: the automaker counts the dispatch of the loaner new vehicle to the dealership as a new-car sale, which could end up distorting its sales figures. Counting loaner vehicles as sold vehicles is something of an industry-standard practice, but given the volume of vehicles we're talking about, this is a significant development for GM's bottom line. One dealership - Paddock Chevrolet in Kenmore, NY, for example - had no loaner fleet two years ago, but now runs a fleet of 50 vehicles. Multiply that by the 4,000 or so dealers GM has across America and you're talking about the potential for hundreds of thousands of these sorts of sales.
GM expands headlight recall to 180k Buicks and Pontiacs
Thu, Aug 20 2015General Motors is issuing an expanded headlight module recall to include 180,504 examples in North America of the 2005 Buick LaCrosse (2008 model year pictured above) and 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix. Specifically, the campaign affects 159,584 of them in the US and 20,920 in Canada. When the part fails, the vehicles' low beams can stop working either intermittently or permanently. "GM is unable to confirm any crashes, injuries or fatalities related to this condition," the company said in a statement, and there's currently no permanent repair for the problem. For now, dealers will replace the headlamp module with a new example of the same part. The automaker first announced this campaign in November 2014 when it affected 316,357 examples globally of the 2006-09 Buick LaCrosse; 2006-2007 Chevy TrailBlazer and TrailBlazer EXT; 2006-2007 GMC Envoy and 2006 GMC Envoy XL; 2006-2007 Buick Rainier; 2006-2008 Saab 9-7X; and 2006-08 Isuzu Ascender. Autotrader picks best cars for 2015's college grads
Sun, May 31 2015Summer is here and the school season is winding to a close. That means millions of students will be graduating college and (hopefully) entering the workforce. For many, that will mean buying a new car suited to the new stage in life into which they will now be embarking. That can be a bewildering choice, especially for someone who's never bought a car before. Fortunately, Autotrader has come up with a short list of recommended cars – new and used – which it recommends to the graduating class of 2015. Among the site's top choices are some compelling crossovers and hatchbacks, including the Buick Encore, Chevy Trax, and Jeep Renegade, as well as the Honda Fit, Nissan Versa Note, Mazda3 and Fiat 500. Can't stretch to buying new, or don't see the point? Autotrader has also identified the Toyota Camry, Ford Fusion and even the Lexus IS as smart buys in the certified pre-owned category. "Any time someone goes through a major life change, such as graduating college, they need to determine if their current ride makes sense for their lifestyle, from both a financial and functional perspective," says Autotrader editor Brian Moody. "For example, while that hand-me-down SUV from your parents was nice when you turned 16, you may want to opt for a safer, more fuel-efficient car as you transition into the working world." Autotrader Names 10 Best Cars for Recent College Graduates ATLANTA, May 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- For many, graduating college is a milestone like no other – it represents a new chapter, a proud accomplishment and, fortunately or unfortunately, financial independence. Luckily for graduates who are in the market for a new car to suit their post-college lifestyle, Autotrader's expert editors say now is a great time to make a purchase, as dealerships are flush with affordable models that are fun, fuel-efficient and thoughtfully designed.
