1975 Buick Electra Limited 4 Door Hardtop on 2040-cars
Gleason, Tennessee, United States
I am the third owner of this Buick. I purchased it from a 91 year old gentleman who had owned the car for most of his life. I have owned it for 3 years. It is currently licensed and insured and I drive it occasionally. It starts and runs and drives very good. There is a hole in the muffler but the car is not loud. the air conditioner is not working. the radio with an 8 track tape deck does not work. the transmission shifts smooth but does drip a little oil from front seal but not bad. The lights and brakes are good,no rattles and rides very smooth. heater works good, I just purchased new tires last week which are 70,000 mile rated tires. The gray paint that you can see over the blue is primer that I applied because the paint was chipping. I think the engine is a 455 ,not sure. The car is very solid throughout. I will gladly answer any questions through e bay email.I am starting the bid at $3500.00 with no reserve, THIS CAR IS SELLING AS IS WITH NO WARRANTY. Buyer will be responsible for shipping, and payment will be in a cashier check or cash in person which is expected 7 days after bid closure. ALSO as I didn't mention here the car does have some minor dings and scratches but believe the pictures show a pretty accurate story. |

Buick really wants us to know the new Cascada convertible won't leak
Thu, Apr 16 2015Quality testing on the factory floor is nothing to joke about. Automakers need to make sure the work being done is up to snuff, and that means some extensive checks. For Buick, that means using a lot of water for each of its Cascada convertibles. Each vehicle that rolls off the floor is subject to a high-pressure, ten-minute soaking that sprays nearly 20 gallons of water from each nozzle during every bath, just to guarantee the fabric roof hasn't sprung any leaks. For some reason, Buick has chosen to show off this testing with the help of what we imagine is the Gorton's Fisherman's baby cousin. Check out the strange testing video, available up top.
Small number of 2013 Buick Encore models recalled for loose steering wheel
Thu, 04 Apr 2013General Motors has issued a recall and a stop sale for the 2013 Buick Encore due to an issue that could result in the steering wheel falling off on certain models. In a letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, GM says that 144 Encores equipped with heated steering wheels could have been incorrectly retrofitted due to a parts shortage.
Needless to say, a loose or separated steering wheel would likely cause an accident if it happened while the vehicle was in motion. The recall doesn't go into effect until April 12, but concerned Encore owners can use the official recall notice (attached below) to contact GM.
