For sale is my 1961 Buick Electra 4 door hardtop. This car spent all it's life in Arizona. I have done a lot to this car in the past year. Recent paint, Rebuilt brake booster, new master cylinder, new tires, new interior, new carb, overhauled engine, rebuilt torque converter, rebuilt transmission, new interior lights, hubcaps, wheels, new brakes, custom made radiator, the list goes on and on. have hundreds of pictures of the resurrection of the car and receipts. I have way more into it than the reserve price. I reserve the right to end auction early as the car is for sale locally.
The car is about 95% completed. Little odds and ends to be 100% It runs and drives great! I bought this car to be a project for my father and I. He has since become very sick and we just don't have the time to complete it and enjoy it.
The car looks great and everyone that sees it, loves it. It isn't a concourse winner but isn't a rat either. Being that the car spent all it's life in Arizona, there is zero rust. It is solid everywhere. It is a cruiser, a car you can take to the car show or weekend cruises.
The new owner will need to finish off the little things left and make it their own. All the hard expensive stuff has been done and all the ground work for completion is in place.
Known things to finish,
Gas gauge doesn't operate.
Power seat doesn't operate
Missing front kick panels, but have the steel inserts
Rear window seal
Side window seals between windows
Power steering pump needs rebuilt
Ac needs to be converted to 134A and charged
Upper courtesy side lights need lenses
Modify air cleaner to fit new edelbrock 750 carb
I believe that is all that is left to finish it off.
Rear bumper has a couple small dents
I have a lot of spare parts that will be included with the car, spare bumper, extra transmission, and a whole lot more. If it is for a buick and goes on this car and I have it, it comes with it.

GM seeks to exempt Buick Envision from U.S. auto tariffs
Fri, Aug 3 2018General Motors is seeking an exemption to a 25 percent U.S. tariff on its Chinese-made Buick Envision sport utility, the automaker said on Thursday, in a move to prevent the key model in the brand's U.S. lineup from becoming a victim of the U.S.-China trade war. The midsize SUV, priced starting at about $35,000, has become a target for critics of Chinese-made goods, including leaders of the United Auto Workers union and members in key political swing states such as Michigan and Ohio. The Envision, assembled only in China, last year accounted for about 19 percent of Buick brand sales in the United States. GM said in a statement that it filed the request on July 30 with the U.S. Trade Representative. An official notice was posted on Thursday on the regulations.gov website, which is tracking requests for exclusions from the so-called Section 301 tariff on certain imported goods from China. GM, the largest U.S. automaker, argued in its request that Envision sales in China and the United States would generate funds "to invest in our U.S. manufacturing facilities and to develop the next generation of automotive technology in the United States." GM said the "vast majority" of Envisions, about 200,000 a year, are sold in China. About 41,000 were sold last year in the United States. Because of the lower U.S. sales volume, "assembly in our home market is not an option" for the Envision, which competes with such midsize crossover vehicles as the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Cadillac XT5. GM has taken other steps to soften the blow of tariffs, which hit just as the automaker had lowered the price of the Envision to make it more competitive. Ahead of the July 6 start for higher import tariffs, GM shipped in a six-month supply of Envisions at the much lower 2.5 percent tariff rate. Envision sales from April through June plunged to just 7,000 vehicles, while inventories climbed to more than 13,000 vehicles at the end of June. At the current sales rate, the Envision supply should be enough to keep many dealers stocked through the end of the year. GM had lowered prices by as much as $2,500 on the 2019 models, which it started shipping in late April. That means Buick's 2,000 U.S. dealers should have lower-priced Envisions to sell well into the fall. "The previous price point was too high" on the 2018 Envision, said Casey Clark, sales manager at Serra Buick GMC Cadillac in Washington, Michigan, in an interview.

Two nearly new 1987 Buick Grand National 'twins' found in garage after 30 years
Fri, Apr 7 2017Back in the '80s, a Buick Grand National could leave a lot of vehicles in its dust. The final, 1987 version of the menacingly styled performance coupe produced 245 horsepower and 355 pound feet of torque, and it was never designed to sit still, let alone for 30 years. But two low-mile Grand Nationals did just that. At the time, it was widely known that nothing like the Grand National would be built again, as the Regal platform would be moving to front-wheel drive. So a lot of buyers stockpiled Grand Nationals and rarer GNX versions with the idea of making a buck on them when they gained value. Some people even bought several. That's what happened to these two cars, recently unearthed from their slumber. Thirty years of storage has turned them into barn finds instead of showroom beauties, and they haven't exactly been flawlessly preserved. A story reported on gm-efi.com shows the cars – the "Twins," as they're called – parked side to side, the way they were laid to rest decades ago, with thick dust on them. Two enthusiasts, Shawn Matthews and William Avila, originally contacted the owner, who had posted them for sale on Facebook with a staggering $200,000 asking price. After inspecting the cars and confirming they were legit, the prospective buyers managed to strike a deal for an undisclosed sum. The story does say the seller was a bit eccentric, demanding money in hand before the cars could be touched at all, but the cars were eventually acquired and transported to a shop for desperately needed refurbishing. Time has caused the headliners on both cars to droop, and it's obvious all gaskets and fluids will need to be addressed, but both cars have extremely low odometer readings: One has 807 miles on the clock, while the other hasn't even reached 600. The car with a more miles was moved "once in a while," so clearly the original owner couldn't resist giving it a go while the other one slept. We couldn't've, either.
