I am selling a 1997 Buick Century Limited for my mother-in-law. She has 2 older vehicles she is selling so she can just by one vehicle to have to maintain. The car is in overall good shape for its age and there are no known problems with the car. We just put a new battery in it and that was all it needed as far as we know but the car is being sold as is with no warranty. And thats only because its a 1997. The car seems to run and drive very nice, its a very smooth ride. The paint is in fair condition, it looks pretty good from about 10 feet away but when you look close it is faded in some areas and there are some light scratches (bumper area mostly) , a few chips and the trim under some of the windows is surface rusted. The inside is in decent condition for its age. It will probably need to be cleaned because there is a moth ball smell on the inside. The tires are in good shape. The front are in good shape and I would say the rear are in very good shape. They are all Bridgestone tires. Bob Seger's Detroit Made music video is an homage to the Motor City
Tue, 16 Sep 2014At this point, Bob Seger feels like the living embodiment of old-school rock 'n' roll. The Michigan native has been strumming out classic records like Night Moves for decades, and he just released a new single called Detroit Made. It sounds like a future staple of just about every classic car show within the next few years, and the video is dedicated to the Motor City, past and future.
Detroit Made is all about cruising in the city in a classic Buick Electra 225, perhaps better known as a "deuce and a quarter." It's straight-down-the-middle rock and could just as easily be from a decades-old Seger album as something new.
The video for the new single mixes shots of American classics cruising along Woodward Avenue with a contemporary look at the city. Sure, there are the well-known dilapidated buildings falling into rubble, but the people there aren't just letting the city die. Other parts show the attempts to clean things up and rebuild. Check out the video if you need a few minutes of old school rockin' in your life.

Doc Brown was right, of course: with an exotic mid-engine layout, gullwing doors and stainless steel body, the DeLorean DMC-12 sure looked the part. It just needed a little more juice. Well this one might not have 1.21 gigawatts of time-bending power - that'd be more than one and a half million horsepower - but it does have more than the 150 hp in the the standard 2.8-liter V6.
That's because this particular DeLorean has had its stock Peugeot Renault Volvo engine swapped out for a Buick-sourced, all-aluminum, 4.3-liter V6 from the Grand National. Dutteiller Performance didn't leave the engine in stock form, either: while they were swapping it out, they added a pair of turbochargers, new pistons, crank, cams and much, much more.
Next Buick Regal to inherit styling cues from Opel Monza concept
Mon, 06 Oct 2014Ever look at a concept car from a foreign auto marque like Opel and wonder what relevance it will have to you as an American consumer? Well, we'll tell you: at least as far as the Opel Monza concept goes, it could mean a lot.
Speaking with Automotive News at the Paris Motor Show, Opel chief Karl-Thomas Neumann said, "You will see the Monza when you see the next Insignia." And the Insignia, we needn't point out, is essentially ported over to American showrooms as the Buick Regal.
The relationship between the Regal and Insignia only stands to grow closer as Opel design chief Mark Adams has also been charged with tightening the bonds between the two automakers positioned on opposite shores of the Atlantic. Adams also intends to imbue the next Insignia with more "premium brand values" in order to "add polish to the brand." Which in turn means that the Regal will be designed to look more upscale, too.
