1971 Buick Gs----second Owner---- on 2040-cars
Pensacola, Florida, United States
Second owner, runs and drives good, needs interior work and body work. Less than 100K miles. Came factory equipped with ac. No longer works.
On Sep-14-13 at 06:30:55 PDT, seller added the following information: The car has the original motor in it. It is a Buick 5.7L or 350 as some say. The Gearshift is in the column. The car actually runs and drives well. The interior is a mess. Especially front seat on drivers side and no headliner. The car was a daily driver until recently and the lady lost her job. There is rust bubbles under the paint in several places like the size of a dime or smaller. It is not my car but I am helping a friend sell it. I have driven the car and was surprised at how well it ran. I truly believe you could drive it across country. It is nowhere near first rate because of the body and interior work it needs. If front seat was recovered and a headliner installed it would actually look real nice. When I get back in town tonight I will try to post more pictures. The lady has owned the car for twenty plus years and told me she has spare parts that she has accumulated over the years. |

Buick Envision aces IIHS crash tests
Tue, Sep 27 2016If you had any qualms about the safety of a Chinese-built car, set them aside. At least when it comes to the Buick Envision. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has tested the new GM crossover and it passed with flying colors. The Envision is the first Chinese-built Buick sold in the States, and it's also the first Chinese-built car the organization has ever tested. In what is an impressive feat for any new automobile, it earned the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating. This means the crossover comes equipped with a forward collision warning system and earned "Good" marks in all types of collisions, including the difficult small overlap crash test. In addition to the forward collision warning system, an automatic emergency braking system is available on the Envision. Eleven other vehicles earned the TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating, including models from Volvo, Lincoln, Acura, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus and Infiniti. That's good company, and combined with a pleasant, if not world-beating, driving experience, should make the Envision a car worth consideration. Related Video:

GM recalling 250,000 SUVs over door electronics
Mon, 20 Aug 2012After a door-fire investigation that dates back to February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced a recall today that affects around 250,000 General Motors SUVs for a faulty driver's door module. The recall applies to the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X from the 2006 and 2007 model years, as well as the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL for vehicles sold and/or registered in the Snow Belt.
Road salt use in these midwestern and northern states can lead to corrosion of the driver's door module on these GMT360 and GMT370 vehicles, which allows water to come in contact with the circuit board. If shorted out, the vehicle's power door locks and power windows will not work, and could possibly lead to overheating and, in some circumstances, a fire. No official word on how many total vehicles caught on fire, but back in June, 28 fires had been reported to the government agency. A fix for the problem is still being worked out, but all affected vehicle owners will be notified by GM.
