Up for auction is my 1961 Buick Skylark.
You might see others listed here on Ebay but I doubt they can come close to this one.
If you want to be the hit at the next car show or cruise then this is the car for you.
Everybody is tired of looking at Camaros, Mustangs and Corvettes.
This car not only looks fantastic it rides just as nice. Turn the key and it fires right up. I would not hesitate driving this car cross country.
I'm not the kind to sit around at car shows but the few I have attended have always ended up with the car bringing home something. I would much rather spend my time driving then sitting around in one spot all day. I do take it to a few cruises where it always draws a crowd.
The blue and white color combination is absolutely beautiful.
I can not capture how nice the blue is on the car with pictures. You really need to see it in person.
Everytime I have the car out, somebody wants the paint code. It's that nice.
The car is laser straight with no rust or patch panels. I tried to get pictures of the underneath but do not have a lift available.
The 215 V8 runs like a top. The car only has 32,000 original miles. The automatic transmission shifts perfect.
Speedometer, heater, wipers, and gauges all work. Gas guage likes to bounce. Pioneer CD player located in glove box.
All glass is in perfect shape and had a new windshield installed last year because of wiper marks in glass.
The interior is free of any rips or tears and is in perfect condition along with headliner.
The wheels are special made by Billet Specialties along with the steering wheel.
Tires are like new with Nitto 225/40ZR18 up front and Nitto 245/40ZR18 in the rear.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some things so if you have any questions feel free to send an email or give me a call.
I have 100% positive feedback.
I'm willing to ship the car anywhere in the world and will help from my end but at new owners expense.
I can be reached at
412-583-1548
Sorry. Not interested in any trades. Only reason for selling......Out of room.
Car has dual flowmaster exhaust with a nice mellow tone. Pipes exit behind each rear wheel.
I hate the look of exhaust pipes sticking out the back and prefer they are not even seen.

2020 Buick Encore drops more powerful 1.4-liter four-cylinder option
Tue, May 21 2019It's not just Chevrolet Equinox, Terrain and Traverse crossovers and Cadillac CT6 enjoying the engine and trim switcheroos this spring. Based on the order guide, CarsDirect reports that the Buick Encore, Buick's most popular model by far, will lose one of its two engines. The 2019 Encore offers a 1.4-liter four-cylinder in two guises: one with 138 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque, the other with 153 hp and 177 lb-ft and stop/start. The more powerful version will not be an option on the 2020 Encore. The upgraded motor is a $250 option, but only after spending an additional $2,600 to move up to the Sport Touring trim, or shelling out $6,100 to reach the Essence trim. Aggressive deals could make the higher trims more economical, though; at the time of writing, the Sport Touring Encore includes $3,250 cash allowance, making it $650 less expensive than the base Encore 1SV. The more powerful 1.4-liter engine also delivered better gas mileage, with buyers getting one more mile per gallon in combined driving. Even so, buyers didn't dig it. In comments to CarsDirect, a Buick spokesperson said those purchasing 2019 Encores have only chosen the burlier motor 12 percent of the time. The weak take-rate could end up doing Buick an easy favor. The Buick Encore GX is expected to make landfall on U.S. shores sometime this year, riding on a different platform than our present Encore, and bringing a longer wheelbase with it. It will slide into the lineup between the $23,200 Encore and $31,995 Envision. This is all hypothetical at the moment, of course, but that seems a perfect place to insert the 153-hp 1.4-liter as an exclusive standard feature.
PSA's purchase of Opel from GM is expected to be finalized soon
Sat, Mar 4 2017PSA's purchase of the Opel/Vauxhall division from General Motors is expected to be officially announced on Monday, according to The New York Times. PSA, the parent company of European automakers Peugeot and Citroen, will reportedly hold a joint press conference with GM in Paris to announce the deal. GM has worked as part of an alliance with PSA in Europe since 2012. The deal could be a big boon for both companies. For PSA, the addition of Opel and Vauxhall into its fold would catapult the automaker into second place behind Volkswagen for European marketshare, and would allow the company to spend research and development costs across a greater number of vehicles. And GM, which has struggled in recent years to turn a profit with its European division, would be able to focus more squarely on the areas where it's most profitable and to invest in future technologies like automation. But the deal isn't without its potential pitfalls, primarily for PSA. GM hasn't been able to make a success of Opel and Vauxhall, and it's not a sure bet that PSA will, either. What's more, the addition of Opel and Vauxhall doesn't expand PSA's reach any further into new markets, like China or India. The NYT cites data from Ferdinand Dudenhoffer, a professor at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany, showing that 70 percent of PSA and Opel business is done in Europe, a market that has been shrinking since 1999. We'll have to wait a few days to see exactly how the deal between PSA and GM will be structured. We're also curious to see how the loss of Opel may affect GM's lineup in the States, especially for Buick, since the company's Regal sedan is based on the European Opel Insignia. In other words, stay tuned. Related Video:
1969 Chevrolet Chevelle vs 1987 Buick GNX in Generation Gap showdown
Wed, 15 Oct 2014Generation Gap generally tries to adhere to a theme for each episode, and for the final video from the Lingenfelter collection, the series might have its best idea yet - limited-production muscle cars from General Motors.
On one side you get a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle COPO, and it's an absolute sleeper. Other than the SS wheels, this classic coupe looks practically bone stock, at least until the engine fires up. Under the hood is a 427-cubic-inch (7.0-liter) V8 making a claimed 425 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. This was the sole year for the COPO package on the Chevelle, and Chevy only made about 323 of them.
The Chevelle's challenger is almost as rare and arguably just as cool. The 1987 Buick Grand National GNX looks just as mean today as when new. It eschews a traditional muscular V8 in favor of a 3.8-liter turbo V6 making a claimed 276 hp and 360 lb-ft, although that number is supposedly a bit underrated. Also, just 547 examples of the GNX version were ever built making it quite a collector's item too.
