1996 Buick Roadmaster Limited Collector's Edition Sedan 4-door 5.7l Fully Loaded on 2040-cars
Bolton, Massachusetts, United States
Up for sale is my almost showroom new 1996 Buick Roadmaster Limited Sedan with only 68,000 original miles. The car is the collectors edition as are all 1996 Roadmasters. The collectors edition badging is a 1996 only designation saluting the final year for the traditional full size, rear wheel drive, body on frame cars from General Motors. This car of course shared its underpinnings with the legendary Impala SS and Cadillac Fleetwoods of the same year. The engine is indeed the 350 cubic inch, 5.7 Liter LT1 motor found in the Impala SS, the Camaro Z28, and most importantly the Corvette. The motor makes 260 horse power and a whopping 335 foot pounds of torque, a torque figure that took the GT mustang until 2011 to surpass! The engine is mated to the 4 speed 4L60E automatic transmission which is also the same unit found in the Corvette. The rear axel is the indestructible GM 8.5 inch 10 bolt with highway and MPG friendly 2.56 gear ratio and a very rare factory posi-traction option (RPO code G80).
The car is all but immaculate, it really has to be seen to be believed, garaged since day one in the original owners home. I STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL TITLE ISSUED IN 1995 when the car was sold brand new. I purchased the vehicle roughly 6 months ago with intentions of driving it year round. The car however is simply too nice to subject to the harsh winters in Massachusetts. I've had tons of these cars and it simply is the nicest one I've ever seen in person since I purchased my first in 2007. The interior is in as new condition. I mean there is not a tear in a seat or even any cracking. The seats are absolutely perfect which is impossible to find on heated leather. There is absolutely no sun fade anywhere, the dash, the trim, the paint or the bumpers. All of the grey plastic trim on the faux chrome exterior trim is perfectly intact, not faded or shrunk. Everything in the car works correctly including the CD player, all electrics, I've cold AC, automatic headlamps, the extremely rare factory trunk pull down, heated seats, and most importantly all windows function and none ever fall off their tracks. The car has almost every option available, and is in like new condition in the extremely desirable triple burgundy color combo, with incredibly low mileage at only 68k. Don't pass this one up as I really think it may be the cleanest interior and body of any Roadmaster for sale in the country. Call or Text anytime 978 875 0425 for questions or if you want to see the vehicle. |

Buick Envision CUV launches in China, is America next?
Fri, 29 Aug 2014Buick is launching its new midsize Envision crossover in China at the Chengdu Motor Show, where it will slot between the subcompact Encore and larger Enclave. While it might be hard to muster too much excitement about a Chinese-market crossover, don't completely ignore this one. There's a very good chance it could be on sale in North America to fill the same hole in the brand's lineup over here, possibly as a 2016 model.
We recently spied the Envision completely undisguised as it was arriving at the Chengdu show for its debut. The CUV still looks like a stretched Encore from some front angles, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's got a similar oversized grille, hood vents (presumably faux) and large greenhouse as its little brother. Where the midsize CUV differs is its prominent crease running down the side and the different rear treatment, with wing-shaped trim cutting into the taillights.
The interior looks like a pretty nice place to spend time, too, with a predictable mix of leather, wood and metal, and it should be quiet in there with its active noise cancelation system. Infotainment is provided by an eight-inch touchscreen with a touchpad and voice controls.
2018 Buick Regal GS is the best Regal since the GNX
Wed, Jul 19 2017The 2018 Buick Regal GS, the third and final variant of the all-new Buick Regal, was revealed this morning. At the event, we were given a brief chance to drive the Regal Sportback, the Regal TourX, and the Regal GS at GM's proving grounds in Milford, MI. Buick has been working hard to shed its image as the brand that comes with an AARP membership card in the glovebox, and this handsome trio is definitely on the right path. With a solid list of features at competitive prices, it's now going to be up to Buick's marketing division to get customers into showrooms. We should say right off the bat that while the old G-Body Grand National and GNX were hardcore giant slayers, the new Regal GS isn't intended to be so sharp edged. Those '80s machines were focused on 0-60 times, and looking as sinister as possible. The new Regal is far more civilized that its forebear. They may share a name, but the purpose has changed. The standard Regal Sportback starts at $25,915 - that's $2,470 less than the outgoing model. It might be the most attractive Buick in decades, at least on the outside. The interior is typical GM, meaning lots of colors and textures without a defining theme. It's powered solely by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four making 250 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a nine-speed automatic. From behind the wheel, the Regal Sportback is quiet, comfortable, and generally relaxed. The 2.0-liter turbo makes a decent amount of power, but the steering and handling remind you that this isn't a sport sedan. That's not a fault, simply a conscious design choice. Despite what some enthusiasts would lead you to believe, not everything needs to be set up for the N urburgring. The Regal Sportback soaks up bumps fairly well, though the car felt light going over some larger bumps on GM's handling course. The steering is completely dead, but it doesn't feel loose or sloppy. There's simply no feedback from the tires. On the other hand, the brakes were surprisingly good. The pedal was firm and confidence-inspiring. Stopping quickly from 60 mph provided no drama. View 12 Photos The $29,995 Regal TourX is a high-riding wagon in the vein of the Subaru Outback, Audi A4 Allroad, and Volvo V60 Cross Country. Like those three, the Regal TourX comes standard with some beefy plastic cladding and all-wheel drive, giving some pretense of off-road capability.
Watch this phantom Buick drive itself down the highway in a snow storm
Mon, 16 Dec 2013Years ago, General Motors used Buick cars to test out the idea of a "smart highway" concept. More recently, GM has been talking up its award-winning Super Cruise semi-autonomous technology that will roll out with Cadillac and make its way to Buick. The LeSabre in the video above has nothing to do with any of that.
On Interstate 15 in Utah, a man driving this LeSabre got into an accident that rearranged the front end and set the horn on permanent blare. At the time of writing this, no one is sure what happened next, but the man ended up sitting in the snow in the highway median while his car carried on down the highway without him. Passing traffic stayed well to the right.
The 51-second video below provides a different take on our autonomous future. A local newscast on KUTV covered the story the evening of the incident, but the Utah Highway Patrol didn't have any update on the fate of the LeSabre. We'll take that to mean that Buick's take on Christine could still be out on the prowl... so watch out!
