You are bidding on a 2 owner 1996 Buick Funeral Coach/ Hearse. This vehicle was purchased new by Hippensteel Funeral Home in Lafayette, IN. I purchased it from them in August of 2008. It had 40,000 on it and I have put 10,000 on it in the past 5 years. This was my hearse that I used for transporting caskets to the cemetery. It is always kept in a heated garage. It is 99% rust free with the only spot on back door below window trim and at the bottom of rear door as seen in photos.3 spots the size of a eraser head. As you see in the pictures the bottom of the doors are perfect. The top is perfect. Paint is beautiful with no blemishes. Air conditioning and heater work great. Car runs great. Has new tires and I use synthetic oil and change every 1,000 miles. Transmission has been flushed. Interior is great cruise control works as it should. The stops and pin come with as seen in photos. The only reason I am selling is we bought a 2003 black Cadillac, I will miss this one since it is white and you don't have to wash as often. This is a great coach and with only 50,000 miles you will use this for a long time. Whenever I use it people think it is like a 2010 model. Keep in mind you are purchasing off a Funeral Home that still uses it when we have 2 services at the same time.It is always garaged and routine maintenance is a must for us. You can come look and drive at anytime during auction. Feel free to call me at (765)585-0897. Happy Bidding

What's in a trademark? Sometimes, the next iconic car name
Thu, 07 Aug 2014
The United States Patent and Trademark Office is a treasure trove for auto enthusiasts, especially those who double as conspiracy theorists.
Why has Toyota applied to trademark "Supra," the name of one of its legendary sports cars, even though it hasn't sold one in the United States in 16 years? Why would General Motors continue to register "Chevelle" long after one of the most famous American muscle cars hit the end of the road? And what could Chrysler possibly do with the rights to "313," the area code for Detroit?
Opel Insignia OPC getting facelift. Will the Buick Regal GS see it, too?
Tue, 07 Aug 2012We've seen spy shots of the base Opel Insignia wearing facelifted front and rear ends, and now it appears that the more potent OPC version will be benefitting from a nip/tuck, as well.
The front bumper has been redesigned, incorporating new air intakes - toned-down versions of the model's signature fangs - as well as a new grille. Out back, there will be minimal changes to the overall fascia, most likely stuff like slightly redesigned taillamps, and inside, these spy shots show a larger navigation/infotainment screen sitting atop the center console.
This is all well and good for the Insignia, but we're wondering how these changes will impact North America's Buick Regal GS. No, it may not share the same powertrain punch as the Euro-spec OPC, but visually, the cars are nearly identical. When questioned about possible changes for the GS, a Buick spokesperson told us that the automaker "can't comment" on any changes at this point. Even so, we wouldn't be surprised if some small changes come our way in the next year or so.
2018 Buick Enclave launches luxury Avenir trim
Wed, Apr 12 2017Remember the shapely Buick Avenir Concept from the 2015 Detroit Auto Show? Well, this isn't that, even if they both share the same name. Meet the Buick Enclave Avenir, a new trim built atop Buick's redesigned 2018 Enclave seven-passenger crossover. Think of it as Buick's version of GMC's Denali trim and you'll be on the right track. As the brand's new top trim level, everything that's normally optional in the Enclave comes standard in the Avenir, along with a bunch of exclusive content. And this is just the first application of the Avenir package for Buick – expect the rest of the TriShield brand's products to get a similar makeover in due time. All Avenir models from Buick will get what the brand is calling a three-dimensional mesh grille with a new set of chrome wings. From there, the Enclave edition bundles unique pearl nickel 20-inch wheels, a Rear Camera Mirror like the one seen from Cadillac, and a new kind of LED headlamps that use something called Evonik Acrylite lighting technology. An in-car air ionizer promises to keep the cabin smelling fresh. The rest of the Enclave package sounds pretty good, too. It's got a standard 3.6-liter V6 engine with 302 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional. A tow rating of 5,000 pounds is standard fare for this class, as are seven seats inside. A frameless eight-inch LCD screen and integrated 4G wireless connectivity are other family-friendly highlights. We expect more Avenir-branded models to make their appearance in the Buick showroom soon. In the meantime, check out the Enclave Avenir in the image gallery above, and stay tuned for more from New York. Related Video:
