I've owned my 47 Roadmaster since 2000.I had Pauls grinding machine shop ( Denver Colorado) do all the machine work. They bored the motor 20 over, new pistons, rings, cam, lifters valves, oil pump waterpump. While the motor was out, I had the flywheel surfaced and a new cluch and through out bearing installed. The trans was gone through at this time along with the radiator. The starter and generator were both gone through and had brushes put in them. The motor has a luberfiner oil filter on (modle 200 S) All the hoses and belt were replaced with new.along with a new battery. I put a new master brake cylinder in it along with new shoes and tires. The car came to me in primer, and shows no signs of rust.I was told the car had never been wrecked, and in inspections show everything is nice and streight. The underside of the car and the finders and hood have a heavy undercoat. The paint is new,and the interior is new (cloth). They headliner is new and came from LeBaron Bonny. The stainless on the car is nice, the bumpers are streight but could use new chrome. The door handles and interior chrome are pitted. All the gauges work great. All the lights work great inside and out on the car. The radio works fine the push buttoms work fine but are all sun cracked. The only thing that doesn't work is the clock.(it works and stops all the time) It has vacume wipers that are real slow, and also has windshield washers that work fine.I'm selling this car because I have to many.I've put about 3000 miles on the new motor and have changed the oil and filter twice. The car starts and runs great. This car is all original and is a nice driver.I've invested over $18,000.00 in it. I've done my best to discribe the car and give no warranty. Please ask queations, you can call me at 303-697-1067 (RON ) The winning bidder must pay $1000.00 down with in 24 hours after auction ends. The car an title will be shipped at buyers expence when complete payment has cleared ( bank transfer or cash ) I'll be happy to assist in shipping, but it is the resonability of the buyer to line up shipping and pay shipping charges. Please check my Ebay rating, I've been a member for a long time and am 100%

We want this Buick Regal wagon rumor to be true
Tue, May 31 2016The car we know in the US as the Buick Regal is sold as a Vauxhall/ Opel Insignia in Europe, where it's offered in four-door sedan, five-door liftback, and wagon body styles. Call it a case of wanting what we can't have, but we like the last two body styles a lot. Based on a report from a Buick/ GMC dealer meeting in Austin, one of them could be coming to the US soon. According to a poster identified as 97GreenRS on the forums at GM Inside News, GM showed dealers the 2018 Buick Enclave, Regal, and Regal GS, as well as the 2018 GMC Terrain, and then confirmed it would offer the Regal wagon here in the US. While that wouldn't normally be all that much to go on, we know Buick has been toying with the idea of a wagon for some time. A Regal-badged wagon was spotted way back in 2011. More recently, we reported on a trademark filing for "Tourx" and "Regal Tourx," which suggest a long roof (Tour) and all-wheel drive (x). If the Regal wagon arrives alongside the base sedan and GS as a 2018 model, we'd expect a debut within the next 15 or so months. That would place it right at the beginning of the 2017 auto show season, which starts next September in Frankfurt, Germany. With that in mind, it seems possible the new Regal would debut first as an Opel Insignia before appearing at a US show like Los Angeles or Detroit, although there's a lot of speculation going on there. We just want to see "Buick" and "wagon" in the same sentence again. Related Video:
MotorWeek remembers the nearly forgotten Buick Reatta
Thu, Feb 18 2016The Reatta was Buick's failed experiment to take on European competitors with its own two-seat luxury coupe and convertible. The model only lasted a few years, and US customers didn't see another droptop from the brand until the Cascada. The latest MotorWeek Retro Review takes a look back at the short-lived roadster and remembers it quite fondly. Host John Davis calls the 1990 Reatta droptop "one of the best looking convertibles ever." His sentiment seems a little hyperbolic, but the roadster is definitely an attractive machine by the standards of the time. The smooth front end and pop-up headlights are reminiscent of Japanese sports cars of era, and the profile with the top down is elegant. There are weaknesses, though. The manual roof mechanism appears cumbersome to operate, and the crude digital instruments, which simulate physical dials, make the cabin look too dated. Other than a complaint about over-boosted power steering, MotorWeek enjoys how the Reatta drives, too. Buick's roadster is largely forgotten today, but such glowing praise suggests it deserves to be better remembered. Check out this Retro Review to look back on this interesting experiment from the early '90s. Related Video:
GM laying off 500 workers to slow Chevy Sonic production
Sat, Oct 24 2015Due to slow sales of the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano, General Motors is cutting a shift at the Orion Township plant that builds the pair. The move lays off about 500 workers, but most of them are expected to get offers to transfer to other factories, Automotive News reports. The move came just a day after GM announced adding 1,200 employees to the Detroit-Hamtramck plant. GM has been trying all year at the Orion Township factory to align production of the Sonic and Verano with their demand. The automaker first attempted idling the plant several times and eventually resorted to laying off about 100 workers. It also reduced the production rate there. With the huge rise in popularity of crossovers, demand for the plant's small cars is on the downturn. According to Automotive News, there's currently a 116-day supply of Sonics and 100 days of Veranos to sell. Delivers tell a similar tale because the Chevy is off 35.2 percent from January to September, and the Buick does little better with a 27.2 percent drop from the same period last year. While the situation at Orion Township might look rough now, big things are on the horizon. Soon, the new Chevy Bolt electric vehicle will be built there when it hits the market around 2017. Plus, the plant will also get a $245-million upgrade and 300 new jobs for another, unannounced vehicle.
