You are looking at another one of my collection of cars that I am selling for personal reasons. This car I know the history on. I had worked for a garage and did the servicing on this car for the customer. He had the oil changed every 2000 miles. I remembered when he ordered this car, it took along time to come in. When he got it delivered it was a different kind of white color that he wanted. So he had the dealership repaint the car to this shade of white. He did not want to wait for another delivery because these cars were in demand and it would have taken along time to get it. This car has never seen the winter. He stored it and took very good care of it. He got married and needed the money to buy a house and sold it to my neighbor, who also treated it the same way. My neighbor, years later needed money and I bought it off him. I only put on 600 miles since I own it and my neighbor did put much more on. It has always been in a heated garage. It currently has 66680 original miles on it and the title reads 66080. It is a 5.7 engine, it has proper working air conditioning, Fm stereo, tilt wheel, perfect maroon cloth seats, and perfect carpet. The only issues that I can pick apart on this car are: The headliner is starting to fail, it is not too bad yet, but eventually it will have to be replaced or re-glued mainly in the rear as pictured. The driver side door is missing a small cover that goes over the screw that hold on the inside door strap as pictured. There is a small crack on the left front (drivers side) nose next to the grill as pictured and it is hardly noticeable. The rest of the car looks great. The underneath is perfect with no rust. There are no leaks. The engine is perfect. I would rate this car 9 out of 10 and I am very critical. The car is located in Coal Township, Pa 17866. It is being sold AS-IS as all of my cars are being sold. Purchaser is responsible for all transfer costs and shipping. There is a $200 deposit required within 24 hours from the end of the sale. If you have any questions please feel free to email me. Thanks and happy bidding!

Junkyard Gem: 1964 Buick Special sedan
Sun, Dec 2 2018During the 1960s, the most mainstream possible vehicle for American streets was a GM-built sedan, either a full-sized B-Body or a mid-sized A-Body. These cars flew out of showrooms by the millions during the decade, and the angular 1964-1967 A-Bodies (including everything from the affordable six-cylinder Chevrolet Chevelle to the maniacal Pontiac GTO) remain sought-after by collectors to this day... provided that they're two-door hardtops. The post sedans just don't get much attention in 2018, and that's why this fairly solid 1964 Buick Special sedan didn't get rescued on its way to this sorry fate in California. Its final days before it washed up in this self-service wrecking yard, nestled between GM iron a third its age, some used-car lot failed to get $1,199 for this '64. The interior looks good, much better than what you'll see on most unrestored cars with better than a half-century on the calendar. If this car had been a Skylark two-door hardtop, its story would have had a happier ending. The decklid suffers from the kind of rust that California cars get when they sit outside for decades and the weatherstripping goes bad, and then someone at the junkyard pried it open to look for trunk goodies. There's likely to be more rust under the window trim, too. The engine was long gone by the time I got here, but it would have been a 225-cubic-inch V6 or a 300-cubic-inch V8 when new. The upscale 1964 Skylark was the same car, mechanically speaking, but it a more luxurious interior and snazzier body trim. The car that follows the fun anywhere... and above all, it's a Buick! 2015 Buick Verano offered with six-speed manual after all
Mon, 09 Jun 2014Good news, boys and girls (well, at least those of you who still like shifting for yourselves). Buick got in touch with us to correct some information that it had mistakenly announced; namely, that the 2015 Verano will lose its optional six-speed manual transmission. Apparently, that announcement was incorrect, and the compact sedan will indeed continue to offer a manual option for 2015, despite what we're certain is a low take rate. Additionally, the Desert Dusk Metallic paint that was said to come as part of an Appearance Package is no longer part of the deal. With that out of the way, we now return you to your regularly scheduled automotive-obsessive broadcast...
Buick has best sales year ever, delivers over 1M cars globally
Wed, 08 Jan 2014If there are any lingering doubts why General Motors held onto Buick while killing Pontiac, Hummer and Saturn, one only has to look at the sales numbers from 2013 for the real answer. Thanks largely to strong sales in China, Buick set a global sales record last year by selling more than one million vehicles.
The lion's share of Buick sales came from China, which sold more than 809,000 units - about four times more Buicks than were sold in North America as a whole. In the US, the Buick Encore accounted for almost half of all US sales with 97,311 units as Buick spent the summer trying to keep up with demand of the subcompact crossover. Likewise, China-only models like the GL8 minivan and Excelle sedan (same as the US-spec Verano) were strong sellers in that market.
For good measure, Buick more than doubled its sales in Mexico with 2,319 units. Scroll down for the full press release.
