1963 Buick Riviera - Running Project Or Parts Car on 2040-cars

Year:1963 Mileage:107000
Location:

Indianapolis, Indiana, United States

Indianapolis, Indiana, United States

Selling a complete running car. Not drivable. Needs brake work and carb rebuild. Does not smoke or rattle. Matching numbers. Desirable double black car. Deluxe interior with wood grain panels. Car has been stored since 1978. Had some rust repair on lower quarters prior to going into storage. No title. Previous owner lost it over 30 years ago. Car comes with clean recent Indiana police report and paperwork to acquire title. You can use one of the online title services or file for a mechanics lien. If you are lucky, several states don't require a title for a car this old. I am selling it cheap as a parts car and the new owner can do what ever they want be it restore or cut it up for parts.

It has a great hood, all the trim is present and nice shape, the bumpers are super straight and dent free. It has tilt column and a beautiful factory steering wheel. Wheel covers and jack are present. Keys are present. All the power windows work fine. Power seats. Glass is great with factory tint and no stars or cracks.

It is missing two things. The rear trunk lock ($24 for a new one) and the drivers seat foam which I removed.

I am selling the car cheap. I know that I could easily double my money parting it out or taking time to get a current title. I'm tired of looking at it and want it to go away.

Current Hemmings values showing $13,500 for a rough car and mid $30,000's for a nice one. This car is worth restoring but I am just too busy to tackle it now.

It's on my trailer and I can haul within 500 miles of Indy for $2.00 per loaded mile (pre-paid).

Check my feedback and bid with confidence. Please ask any questions before bidding. Thanks for looking and good luck.

WILL CONSIDER PARTING CAR IF IT DOES NOT SELL COMPLETE. Inquire with needs.

2014 Buick Regal GS

Mon, 09 Sep 2013

A few months ago I drove the 2014 Buick LaCrosse and wrote up a First Drive review of it. For all of my quibbles with that sedan (and I had a fair number), I understand that it speaks to the heart of what new Buick loyalists like in a car; it's roomy, has a cushy ride and is as placid as a summer's morning at highway speeds.
Those qualities, while undeniably desirable, don't mean a whole lot to me personally. I prefer sedans that conjure up words like "nimble," "punchy" or even "raucous" on occasion. So, directionally, the high-performance GS version of the 2014 Buick Regal is more my cup of tea than any other car in the company's current range.
In fact, I'd already come to know the Regal GS from its 2012 model year introduction, and grown more than a little fond of the sporting sedan in its original front-wheel-drive, six-speed-manual guise. The fast, sweet-handling car with well-sorted controls may have suffered from a slight identity crisis in terms of pricing (and may still), but it was undeniably fun to drive. So, when I heard that the GS was coming to market for 2014 with optional all-wheel drive (albeit only in combination with a six-speed automatic transmission), I was stoked to have another go and concentrated my driving impressions on the AWD car.

Buick Envision CUV displays full-frontal nudity

Tue, 22 Jul 2014

Earlier this month, Shanghai GM gave us a glimpse of the production version of the Buick Envision concept revealed at the Shanghai Motor Show back in 2011. And now it's released the first unveiled shot and initial details of the crossover to slot in the considerable gap between the Encore and Enclave.
The new Envision is set later this year to reach Chinese showrooms, where it will be called the Ang Ke Wei, after which we're expecting it to arrive Stateside. The production-ready Envision is about the size of the Chevrolet Equinox or GMC Terrain, but is differentiated by a more upscale treatment and Buick's signature waterfall grille, flanked by Xenon headlamps and LED running lights and riding on 19-inch wheels.
Power comes from GM's familiar 2.0-liter turbo four with direct injection and stop/start ignition, driving 256 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque through a six-speed automatic transmission to all four wheels. That's about all that GM's Chinese operation has announced at this point - it's not even clear what platform the vehicle is on - but you can check out the press release for yourself below.

Next Buick Regal to inherit styling cues from Opel Monza concept

Mon, 06 Oct 2014

Ever look at a concept car from a foreign auto marque like Opel and wonder what relevance it will have to you as an American consumer? Well, we'll tell you: at least as far as the Opel Monza concept goes, it could mean a lot.
Speaking with Automotive News at the Paris Motor Show, Opel chief Karl-Thomas Neumann said, "You will see the Monza when you see the next Insignia." And the Insignia, we needn't point out, is essentially ported over to American showrooms as the Buick Regal.
The relationship between the Regal and Insignia only stands to grow closer as Opel design chief Mark Adams has also been charged with tightening the bonds between the two automakers positioned on opposite shores of the Atlantic. Adams also intends to imbue the next Insignia with more "premium brand values" in order to "add polish to the brand." Which in turn means that the Regal will be designed to look more upscale, too.
