This car was owned and maintained by the retired owner of a restoration / engine building shop and has been meticulously maintained. In 2013 the car had a rebuilt water pump, rebuilt alternator, new belts, and radiator boiled out. Brake cylinders and shoes were also replaced. Beautiful and extremely solid all original body with excellent paint. Believed to be one repaint. Body is straight. Gaps and seams are excellent! A few chips / scratches have been brushed touched on the body. Clean and super solid frame and undercarriage. Floors and trunk are excellent and extremely solid. Clean engine bay and trunk compartment with mat. Beautiful interior with new carpet and seat upholstery. Gorgeous dash! Original dash pad (2 cracks). Original headliner in good condition but has a few minor spots where seams are separating. Power drivers seat. Power windows. Original Sonomatic radio (does not work). All lights, blinkers, heater, etc.. work as they should. Horn does not work. Beautiful stainless trim throughout. Bumpers have some peeling on the bottoms. Nice glass. Original windshield has some minor laminating on the top. Newer white wall tires. This is a GREAT riding car with plenty of comfort! You can confidently drive it anywhere. The United States Patent and Trademark Office is a treasure trove for auto enthusiasts, especially those who double as conspiracy theorists.
Why has Toyota applied to trademark "Supra," the name of one of its legendary sports cars, even though it hasn't sold one in the United States in 16 years? Why would General Motors continue to register "Chevelle" long after one of the most famous American muscle cars hit the end of the road? And what could Chrysler possibly do with the rights to "313," the area code for Detroit?
Updated Buick LaCrosse, Regal to debut at New York Auto Show
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Judging by the spy shots we saw last week for the 2014 Buick LaCrosse and 2014 Buick Regal, we knew it wouldn't be much longer until we saw both sedans receive a grand debut. Today, Buick confirmed to Autoblog both cars will be introduced at the New York Auto Show next month, but no further information has yet been released about either model.
Having been on the market for an extra couple years, the changes to the LaCrosse appear to be more significant than those coming for the Regal, but both will be getting refreshed exterior designs as well as updated interiors. The Regal's new face brings it more in line with the all-new Encore and the restyled Enclave, while the LaCrosse should get a more distinctive, upscale appearance.
Both cars will be introduced exactly a month from today, and we'll be there to bring you all the coverage.
GM will recall more than 3.3 million vehicles in China for suspension defect
Sat, Sep 29 2018BEIJING (Reuters) - General Motors' joint venture in China, Shanghai GM, will recall more than 3.3 million Buick, Chevrolet and Cadillac vehicles stating Oct. 20 because of a defect with the suspension system, China's market regulator said on Saturday. GM Shanghai said in a text message to Reuters that the suspension arm may be deformed under extreme operating conditions, but there are no known casualties related to the issue. The recall includes cars produced between 2013 and 2018, the State Administration for Market Regulation said in a statement. GM will contact those affected and repair the vehicles free of charge, it said.
