1984 Buick Regal Custom 2d Coupe on 2040-cars
Sarasota, Florida, United States
This car is definitely one of the nicest G-Body cars in Florida. **You cannot look up the Blue book value on this 84 Regal because this is totally redone and Custom and one of a kind!** This car looks, runs and sounds great. This car came from Arizona and Las Vegas and has minimal to hardly any rust which is especially important in a car of this age. The seats are original with the exception of the drivers seat which has been reupholstered and couldn't quite match the strange factory shade of brown. You could always change to buckets anyway if you wanted to later on. New Carpet kit installed as well. This car has always been garaged and hardly at all sits outside. It was professionally painted a few years ago in Las Vegas.(base/clear). The hood has one big chip on it, but other then that the body is VERY straight and clean. There have been no shortcuts taken with this car and the new owner will be getting themselves a hell of a deal. There is easily over $15,000 invested in this car. Please no trades, i have too many vehicles already and have to unload a few.
As you will see this car is loaded with top shelf products and everything has been professionally installed. This Regal is reliable, very streetable and hauls ass. This car ran 12.4@108mph at LVMS (Las Vegas Motor Speedway) making it faster than 99.9 of cars you will run across on the street. This is not a car for kids or those inexperienced with fast cars. It has Large sway bars front and rear for enhanced cornering and it makes the car more fun to drive! The owner before me last year beat a Grand National with this car! The engine was switched over to run on E85 fuel which is both inexpensive and 105 octane! The new E85 carb. was over $700 itself. The E85 carb was specifically built to match this engine. With 700 r4 and 4.11 gears you truly get the best of both worlds. The 4.11's ensure awesome acceleration and the 700r4's overdrive let's you cruise the highway without spinning the engine to 4,000 rpm to keep up with traffic. The pics here show all the things done to the car. Way too much to list. I just got it over to FL from Las Vegas in October. It needs a new home and some TLC. Serious buyers only please. Best of Luck to you all. Thanks for looking. |

Buick could import Envision crossover from China
Fri, Nov 13 2015Reports about the Buick Envision's likely arrival in the US go back even before the midsize crossover's debut in China last year, but the brand still doesn't have a official decision about whether to bring it here. According to The Detroit News, the company is somewhat concerned about a poor consumer reaction to launching a Chinese-made model in this country. Even if Buick officials are slightly apprehensive about the public perception, the concerns might not hold back the Envision in US. An anonymous source also tells The Detroit News that the brand intends to launch the CUV early next year and wants to sell around 40,000 of them annually. However, the UAW is reportedly not happy about the possibility of a Chinese-produced model coming here. The Envision launched at the Chengdu Motor Show as a step between the compact Encore and three-row Enclave. Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with stop/start and 256 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Buick offers the CUV with a six-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. The interior features active noise cancellation and an eight-inch infotainment system. The Envision also seems like a natural fit for Buick in the US due to the obvious hole in its CUV lineup, and the abundant rumors suggest that the brand sees the possibilities for it. The company now needs to decide whether to take a chance here and offer a vehicle from China.
Repo man pays off elderly couple's car just in time for Thanksgiving
Mon, Nov 28 2016Repo men get bad raps for a good reason; no one likes having their car taken away. At least one guy in the repossession game proved folks in his profession aren't all bad when he helped an elderly couple hold on to their wheels right before Thanksgiving. According to the Belleville News-Democrat, unexpected bills and the rising cost of prescription medications pushed Stanford and Patty Kipping's fixed income to the breaking point. Unable to keep up with the $95 dollar a month payment on their 1998 Buick, they fell into arrears and the bank sent a repo man out to their home in Red Bud, Illinois to reclaim the car. Jim Ford, co-owner of Illini Recovery Inc., hooked up the old Buick and dragged it away, but later that night his conscience caught up with him. "When I got home that night, I said to myself, 'They are a real nice elderly couple. I gotta do something. I can't just take their car,'" Ford told the News-Democrat. Ford did do something, something surprisingly humane. He set up a GoFundMe and, within just a few short hours, he raised more than $3,500 dollars. This was enough money to pay off the Kipping's loan with a little left over for some maintenance. Ford and a friend then hooked the car back up and towed it back to the Kipping's home. Ford presented the couple with their trusty Buick, and threw in a thousand dollars in an envelope and a frozen turkey for Thanksgiving. "It was a miracle come true," Patty told the paper. "We didn't know what we were going to do." "I got up this morning and I looked up at the sun and I said, 'I hope we get our car back,'" added Stanford. "It's just unbelievable."Related Video: News Source: Belleville News-Democrat Auto News Weird Car News Buick repossession repo man
1969 Chevrolet Chevelle vs 1987 Buick GNX in Generation Gap showdown
Wed, 15 Oct 2014Generation Gap generally tries to adhere to a theme for each episode, and for the final video from the Lingenfelter collection, the series might have its best idea yet - limited-production muscle cars from General Motors.
On one side you get a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle COPO, and it's an absolute sleeper. Other than the SS wheels, this classic coupe looks practically bone stock, at least until the engine fires up. Under the hood is a 427-cubic-inch (7.0-liter) V8 making a claimed 425 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. This was the sole year for the COPO package on the Chevelle, and Chevy only made about 323 of them.
The Chevelle's challenger is almost as rare and arguably just as cool. The 1987 Buick Grand National GNX looks just as mean today as when new. It eschews a traditional muscular V8 in favor of a 3.8-liter turbo V6 making a claimed 276 hp and 360 lb-ft, although that number is supposedly a bit underrated. Also, just 547 examples of the GNX version were ever built making it quite a collector's item too.
