1999 Buick Park Avenue Ultra-low Miles-very Well Taken Care Of-supercharged! on 2040-cars
Fountain Valley, California, United States
Up for auction is a really nice, one owner California Park Avenue Ultra. I purchased this car about 4 months ago with the intention of using it as the family second car. Unfortunately, it rarely ever gets driven. So, my wife and I have decided to pass it on to somebody who will use it everyday and enjoy it.
The car has been well cared for over and garaged most of it's life. Most all of the original owner's service history is from the dealer as evident by all of the parts that have been replaced are factory GM, including the new battery. At some point several years ago the car was repainted under warranty by GM as the original Pearl White paint was pealing (typical GM car). They did an average job on the respray, but it looks nice in general and appears very sharp. All of the exterior trim is very nice with minimum to no sun aging. The car has never been damaged and the body is straight. The chrome wheels are very nice ad free of corrosion or damage and the tires have about 50% tread left. Brakes and rotors are new GM parts. The engine is tight, quiet, and powerful. If you look in the oil filler cap the internal part of the engine is factory clean. There are no leaks or issues whatsoever. It is a very tight an quiet car that has been only adult driven and maintained properly. The interior is in very nice condition and shows very little wear. The back seat is perfect an looks as though it has never been used. Dash is perfect as all gauges work properly. It has the upgraded Concert Sound II with the CD changer in the trunk as will as a single disk on the dash. The dual climate control works perfect and the a/c is ice cold. Headliner and carpet are in great condition. All controls are working properly, however the right rear window is stubborn at times. The ashtray sometimes will not click and stay closed, sometimes it will. It has never been smoked in, however when I drive it I will plug my cell phone charger in the lighter area. The center console is in good shape, but there is some type of color pealing in one panel. Luckily under the pealing is the same color. I researched this and found that GM painted some of their parts and this is common. The front seats do have a little wear in the leather, but nothing major and probably less than the typical car of this era. The driver's seat bottom front doesn't like to move up and down with power, it just buzzes. All of the other dual power seat controls work perfect as does the 4 way lumbar. All in all, a very clean, well maintained and never abused interior that even smells fresh! I looked for this model for a while and and found this one to be the one with the best maintained driveline. She is smooth and quiet and gets great fuel economy. The supercharger is a must for his car since it siting on the heavier Cadillac chassis. In essence you have all the luxury of the Seville but without the headaches of the problematic Northstar. If you are looking for a clean, well maintained Park Avenue Supercharged, look no further... The car ran out of registration at the end of January, but has the clean original title and will come with a current smog certificate for any California buyers... Please ask any and all questions, we will be happy to answer them. Thank You. |

Buick shows off new Ultra Luxury Interior for LaCrosse
Sun, 27 Apr 2014The options sheet of the 2014 Buick LaCrosse gets all kinds of fancy with the addition of the Ultra Luxury Interior. Pointing its Tri-Shield logo at the world of haute luxury, the cabin treatment combines sangria leather with ebony accents, shadow tamo ash wood trim and a microsuede headliner to "drive fashion forward."
You'll need to start with LaCrosse models with the 3.6-liter V6 and either the Leather, Premium or Premium II trims to go all Brioni and Buckingham on the cabin, and the privilege package will run you $2,495. We're told that you won't find such contrasting hues anywhere else in the class, though, and that kind of exclusivity might make any price a bargain.
You can find more information on the Ultra Luxury Interior in the press release below, along with some intensely fashion-foward gobbledygook.
Trademarks indicate Buick Regal wagon could be on the way
Wed, Dec 23 2015American wagon fans have been waiting for General Motors to import a Buick-badged version of the Opel Insignia Sports Tourer since the current Insignia-based Regal hit dealers. If a new patent filing is any indication, that day could be coming soon. Then again, it might not mean anything. AutoGuide reports that Buick has filed two trademarks with the US Patent and Trademark Office for "Motor land vehicles, namely automobiles." You can see the trademarks for "Tourx" and "Regal Tourx" here and here. "Tour" smacks of wagon models, while the "x" – for all-wheel drive – makes us wonder if maybe we'll be seeing a rebadged version of the high-riding Opel Insignia Country Tourer (shown above). This isn't the first time Buick has stoked the hopes of US wagon fans, though. Earlier this year, trademarks were filed for the "Regal Sport Touring," a name that's very close to the Euro-market wagon's title. In fact, that trademark had the same description as the Tourx/Regal Tourx filings. As we've established before, automakers file trademarks all the time. It's far from a guarantee that anything will come of such trademarked names. Still, two wagon-ish filings with the USPTO from Buick in under a year makes it seem like there's at least someone at the Trishield brand that's campaigning for a long-roof Regal. Fight the good fight, friend. Related Video:
MotorWeek remembers the nearly forgotten Buick Reatta
Thu, Feb 18 2016The Reatta was Buick's failed experiment to take on European competitors with its own two-seat luxury coupe and convertible. The model only lasted a few years, and US customers didn't see another droptop from the brand until the Cascada. The latest MotorWeek Retro Review takes a look back at the short-lived roadster and remembers it quite fondly. Host John Davis calls the 1990 Reatta droptop "one of the best looking convertibles ever." His sentiment seems a little hyperbolic, but the roadster is definitely an attractive machine by the standards of the time. The smooth front end and pop-up headlights are reminiscent of Japanese sports cars of era, and the profile with the top down is elegant. There are weaknesses, though. The manual roof mechanism appears cumbersome to operate, and the crude digital instruments, which simulate physical dials, make the cabin look too dated. Other than a complaint about over-boosted power steering, MotorWeek enjoys how the Reatta drives, too. Buick's roadster is largely forgotten today, but such glowing praise suggests it deserves to be better remembered. Check out this Retro Review to look back on this interesting experiment from the early '90s. Related Video:
