2007 Buick Lucerne CXS Sedan

Beautiful, Black 2-Owner Car with Every Available Option in Excellent Conditiong

I purchased this car as a Certified GM used car from our local Buick dealer back in early 2011 and became its second owner.  It had 41K miles on the odometer the day I bought it and was as close to brand-new as any used car I'd ever seen.  It's original owner had driven the car very gently and taken excellent care of it.  I have done the same.  The car now has 105K miles on it, almost entirely from Interstate travel for my daily commute, which is 40 miles each way.  There is nothing wrong with this car - it is in excellent condition and runs just as reliably as it did the day I bought it.  It has been garage-kept every night of its life and has been washed and waxed on a very regular schedule, including the winter months.  I have religiously cleaned and conditioned the leather seats, and as a result, they show only very little wear on the driver's seat.  The front seats of the car are both heated and cooled, which is a great feature in an all-black car.  This vehicle was serviced and maintained at our local Buick dealer and always got everything it needed.  Last month it got brand new rear brake rotors and pads.  The front brakes were replaced about 15-20K miles ago.  The tires were replaced at around the same time with the factory spec Bridgestone tires and they have more than 50% treadlife.  The Northstar V8 engine is powerful and yet gets good fuel economy for a V8.  I have routinely gotten 24-26mpg with the car on the highway.  The rear seat leg room in this car is unmatched by anything else from its model year or after.

Features & Options:

  • Both front seats are heated and cooled with multiple settings and both are full power 8-way adjustable
  • The car's tilt steering wheel is also heated and features controls for the radio and cruise control
  • The car has a navigation system and is equipped with a stereo that has an MP3 aux input and satellite radio capability
  • The car has a power moonroof, fog lights, power windows, dual exhaust with chrome tips, remote keyless entry, remote start, power mirrors and cruise control
  • Only the CXS model came with the 18" chrome wheels and wider tires that give this car much better handling than the average Lucerne
  • The key fobs for the car are numbered and operate the car's memory seating and mirror positions
  • It has integrated programmable buttons for up to three garage door openers integrated into the overhead console
  • The car has an auto-adjusting air ride suspension which maximizes comfort
  • INCLUDED IN THIS SALE ARE 4 GOOD CONDITION SNOW TIRES AND WINTER RIMS FOR THE CAR SO YOU CAN TAKE GOOD CARE OF IT TOO!

This is a very nice car in excellent condition with no mechanical problems.  Bid with confidence knowing that the car you will get is as described above.  If you have any questions, please just ask.  This auction has a reserve that reflects a fair value for this car.  Please research the value of the car before bidding and make sure to compare it to other CXS model Lucernes in similar condition.  This car was more than $45K when it was brand-new.  Expect to pay a fair price for a car that has been very well cared for.  Car is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early at any time if it is sold locally.

2018 Buick Regal TourX vs. wagon competitors: How it compares on paper

Wed, Jan 31 2018

To the great joy of auto enthusiasts nationwide, wagons are back! Well, at least there's a few more of them. The latest is the 2018 Buick Regal TourX, which we just had our first drive of and found to actually be quite good with pleasant handling, solid power and plenty of space. But, how does the TourX compare to other cladded wagons? Well, let's dive into the specs and fire up the ol' spreadsheet maker for Buick Regal TourX vs Subaru Outback vs Audi A4 Allroad vs VW Alltrack vs Volvo V60 Cross Country. True, some are from mainstream brands and others are from luxury marques, but Buick straddles both realms, so it's appropriate to look at them all. Of course, there's more to these cars than just the numbers, but they're still important, and in the case of this class of crossover-aping wagons, can vary more than you'd expect. So check out the specs in the chart below, which are followed by more analysis and photos of each. Discover and compare other wagons and crossovers with our Car Finder and Compare tools. Engines and Transmissions When comparing powertrains, the Buick is far-and-away the winner as far as torque is concerned, and is in a nearly three-way tie for horsepower. Its 295 pound-feet of torque is 22 lb-ft more twist than the next-most-grunty Audi A4 Allroad. And in regards to power, the Buick's 250-horsepower engine is only down 6 hp to the most-powerful Subaru and its optional naturally aspirated flat-six, and just 2 hp less than the Audi. At the bottom of the pack is the Subaru Outback with the standard naturally aspirated flat-four, which only makes 174 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque. That may not seem too bad compared with the VW Golf Alltrack, which only makes 170 hp and 199 lb-ft of torque, but the VW is much lighter by between 200 and 300 pounds. Transmission-wise, there's quite a bit of variation in the group. The Regal TourX and the Volvo V60 Cross Country rely on eight-speed automatics, all Outbacks use CVTs, and the Alltrack and Allroad have dual-clutch automated manual transmissions with six and seven gears, respectively. But for people that want to shift for themselves, the only option is the Volkswagen, which offers a traditional six-speed manual transmission on the Golf Alltrack. Cargo and Interior Space One of the main reasons to buy a wagon is for the body style's large cargo capacity. And for the most space for things and stuff, you'll want to check out the Subaru and the Buick.

Buick officially launches the redesigned 2021 Envision

Thu, Jan 21 2021

The 2021 Buick Envision is officially official. Yes, that Envision — the one we showed you back in May 2020 — is now for sale, and we now have all of the finer details about the redesigned crossover, which is lower, wider and more technologically robust than its predecessor.  One could argue that we already knew the most important thing about Buick's updated CUV: It looks good. The same couldn't necessarily be said of its previous incarnation, which, like several of GM's outgoing small crossovers, could be charitably described as inoffensive, but often merely looked frumpy and incoherent.  2021 Buick Envision Avenir View 25 Photos Rather than the flow-for-flow's-sake design of the outgoing model, the 2021 boasts a more chiseled, angular look, especially in Avenir guise. It also boasts a redesigned cabin and a new suite of standard tech features, including standard forward collision warning, front pedestrian braking and rear park assist. Optional goodies include a HUD, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a hands-free power liftgate. Avenir models bake in several of the standard Envision's optional upgrades, including heated and ventilated front seats, a massaging driver's seat and heated outboard rear seats. It also offers an optional adaptive suspension.  “The all-new 2021 Envision is a tremendous opportunity for the brand,” said Duncan Aldred, global vice president for Buick and GMC. “With strong, differentiated designs, and a combination of advanced technologies and premium appointments, it will stand apart in one of the industryÂ’s most competitive segments.” Buick has also nailed down the specs on the Envision's updated powertrain. The 2.0-liter turbo engine will make 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard, with GM's twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system available as an upgrade. Both models get a nine-speed automatic gearbox.  As confirmed previously with the release of Buick's 2021 order guide, the Envision starts at $32,995 (including destination) and is available at dealers now. We expect to get our hands on one for a more thorough evaluation some time in the coming months. Stay tuned.

2020 Buick Encore GX is a really attractive middle child

Tue, Nov 19 2019

The 2020 Buick Encore GX is officially a thing in North America. The compact crossover slips into the space between the slightly smaller Encore and the larger Envision, adding extra room behind the rear seats to pack in a lot more than the Encore, and only a little less than in Envision. Beyond the additional room, every trim of the Encore GX comes with safety tech that — for the moment, at least — can only be had as an optional extra on the standard Encore, if it's available at all on the smaller model. The six included features are automatic emergency braking, following distance indicator, forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, IntelliBeam headlamps with automatically-adjusting high/low beams, and lane-keeping assist with lane departure warning. IntelliBeam, for instance, isn't available on the Encore, and doesn't come standard on the Envision until maxing out at the AWD Premium II trim. What's more, the new bigger Encore brother puts a list of substantial safety features on the options sheet, such as Automatic Parking Assist with Braking, a heads-up display, camera-based adaptive cruise control, high-definition Surround Vision camera system, rear park assist, rear cross traffic alert, and a hands-free power liftgate with logo projection. Convenience touches in the cabin are found in wireless charging, Bluetooth pairing for two phones simultaneously, and Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Sirius XM with 360L compatibility. The 360L version of Sirius XM combines satellite services with streaming to provide more channels and access to live and on-demand shows. Buyers can luxe it up inside with optional perks like leather-appointed seats, a heated steering wheel, and an ionizing air filter. Buick says the Encore GX swallows 25.3 cubic feet of goods behind the second row. According to the dimension stats on the Buick site, that's 6.5 cubic feet more than the load space in an Encore and a measly 1.6 cubic feet less than the available volume in an Envision. The carmaker wants buyers to get the most flexibility out of the Encore GX area as well, serving up an adjustable load floor in every trim that can be raised to lie level with the folded rear seats and provide extra under-floor storage.
