                                                                BICENTENNIAL YEAR CLASSIC CAR

1976 BUICK LESABRE 4 DOOR CUSTOM

Most everyone that loves old cars has that fantasy of finding that nice lady or gentleman that has that wonderful older classic car hidden away in  the garage or storage & you are able to locate the gem & bring it out into the light of day & find that it has been so well taken care of that almost everything is still working & after some minor maintenance, it starts, runs drives, & stops very nice. I do believe we have found a 38 year old Auto in that realm. This is a wonderful classic from the days when cars were Big with Big Motors & would cruise down the highway like you were sitting in your living room. This Buick LeSabre is in unbelievable shape for a Garage Find. Someone really took care of this car. From the paperwork in the car, it looks to have been driven around 1600 miles in the last 22 years. The last service date & mileage is on the Amoco Service Station slip in the holder on the dashboard. As we  try each option on this car it is unbelievable that everything still works. I might have missed something but everything we could find worked. Things like Cold Air, Am/Fm Stereo Radio w/Power Antenna, Cruise Control Light, Power Windows, turn signals, Hi/Lo Heaqd Light Beams, Rear Window Defroster, Windshield Wipers w/Mist Button, Power Seat, Adjustable Speed Warning Buzzer, Power Trunk Release, & believe it or not, the silly CLOCK STILL WORKS! It was getting downright crazy trying to find something that did not work on this car, finally after checking everything we could think of, including all the lights, one of our neighbors called out when we were backing the car out of the driveway & informed us that one of the back up lights was out. Whew! Finally something that was not working.

Car condition w/#1 being perfect Show Car, & #6 being good just for parts car,  This car would be a solid 3. Interior would be a 2, paint is a 4, engine & drive train is a solid 3. Drives like a number 2 car. Should be pretty easy to get to local car show condition & is already a Wonderful Daily Driver.

I don't want anyone to think this LeSabre is a  perfect show car, because it is not, there are parking dings, some small paint chips, &  the paint is old but still looks good, could at least use a good buff & wax to bring it out. The right front fender has a scratch about the size of a basketball on it. Should be a easy fix for any local body shop. The chrome & trim work is very good for this age car,  maybe some polish on the bright work would really make it POP!  The paint is good but tired. We just washed the car & did not wax or buff the car to get more accurate condition pictures. If the car was buffed & waxed with a few touch ups, it should look absolutely great. We could have done more but we wanted to be able to offer the car at an affordable value & also let the new owner have a few things to do to get the best look out of the car. Anyone would have a real hard time finding a 1976 model car with these features that still work & in this kind of condition. The mileage on the odometer reads 34,608, & was stated to us as being original, which might be hard to believe until you see the condition of the interior & drive this car. Then it is not that hard to believe at all. Of Course, we cannot Guarantee the mileage, but believe most anyone will be comfortable with it when they see the condition & drive this car. Our family bought a new 1971 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser back when I was a teenager, this wonderful Buick drives just like that big Olds! Some folks might rather have the 455 motor, but we really like the 350 4 barrel motor this one has. It has all the power you will ever need & gets much better gas mileage.

The recent items repaired or replaced on this newly uncovered classic include new 4 Barrel Carb-$300, pulled, cleaned radiator-$175, new plugs, plug wires, Dist. Cap, & Rotor-$75, new oil & transmission fluid replaced incl/new filters-$100, new tires-$400, & new rear brakes-$100, & Front Brakes checked out in great shape. Turn the key, fires right up & go cruising Tonight! I could keep writing about this car on & on, but I have tried to describe it as it is. We keep shaking our heads & smiling to be able to find a car like this so many years after it was made, in this kind of condition. The car is an honest & straight 38 year old car from America's Bicentennial Year & very easy on the eyes & pocketbook. WOW, what a car.

This LeSabre is being sold AS IS other than the things we have listed about the car. The car is offered with very LOW RESERVE & quite affordable BUY IT NOW PRICE! For those that remember these cars, they brings back Fond Memories, this is an easy way to get into the classic/collector car hobby for not much money at all. Collector car insurance is unbelievably affordable, & antique car tags are available in a lot of states. Collector Car insurance available as low as $139-$169 per year, including liability, collision, & comp, depending on agreed upon value. That is enough reason to buy an old car right there. Thanks for looking & wish we had a Dozen of these to offer. Great Car-Great Price-Great Condition! We have over 50 pictures available if someone wants to see more detail.            WE HAD A COUPLE QUESTIONS THAT I THOUGHT I WOULD EXPAND ON THE ANSWERS A BIT. ONE WAS ABOUT THE MILEAGE ON THE CAR & ALTHOUGH WE CANNOT GUARANTEE IT TO BE ORIGINAL MILEAGE, THE TITLE STATES THE MILEAGE AS ACTUAL. I BELIEVE IT IS ACTUAL FOR 2 MAIN REASONS, ONE BEING THE INTERIOR IS REALLY REMARKABLE EVEN INCLUDING THE LEATHER SEATS, CARPET & ORIGINAL HEADLINER, 2ND IS THE WAY THIS CAR DRIVES IS TIGHT, STRAIGHT & SO SMOOTH, BUT REMEMBER I AM THE ONE SELLING THE CAR!

I DID LIST THE MILEAGE WRONG WHEN I LISTED IT AT 34,608. IT IS 34,808. THE 8 LOOKED LIKE A 6 WHEN I LOOKED THE 1ST TIME. THAT IS ONLY 200 MILE MISTAKE BUT WANTED TO MAKE IT CORRECT.

THE OTHER QUESTION CONCERNED PAINT & ANY PREVIOUS DAMAGE TO THE CAR. I WAS NOT COMFORTABLE WITH ANSWERRING THAT SO I HAD A MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE CAR PERSON LOOK IT OVER TODAY & THEY SAID & ALSO SHOWED ME WHERE THE CAR HAD AT LEAST ONE REPAINT IN IT'S 38 YEARS (SAME FACTORY COLOR) BUT SAW NO PREVIOUS DAMAGE. THERE IS THE MENTIONED SCRATCH ON THE FRONT RIGHT FENDER ALTHOUGH WE HAVE HAD THAT CLEANED UP A BIT SO IT LOOKS MUCH BETTER THAN IT DID IN THE PHOTOS. I DID WANT TO MENTION THAT. HE ALSO SAID & SHOWED ME THERE WAS USUAL OR NORMAL SURFACE RUST UNDERNEATH THE CAR WHICH SHOULD BE EXPECTED WITH THIS AGE CAR.  WHILE HE WAS UNDER THE CAR HE SAID THE TRANSMISSION PAN LOOKED CLEAN BUT THE OIL PAN HAD SOME OLD GRIME UNDER ABOUT 1/2  OF IT, SAYING ONCE AGAIN VERY NORMAL FOR THE AGE OF THE CAR.

ONCE AGAIN NOT A NEW OR MINT AUTO, BUT VERY NICE FOR THE AGE & READY TO CRUISE 2 LANE OR INTERSTATE. ANY MORE QUESTIONS PLEASE EMAIL US THRU EBAY & WILL BE GLAD TO ANSWER ANYTHING WE CAN.

The new Buick Regal looks like a Mazda, and we're totally cool with that

Mon, Dec 5 2016

Yes, this undisguised Opel Insignia, which will be brought here as the next Buick Regal, looks a lot like a Mazda. You can see it in the grille and headlights, especially – in fact, if you look at one of the photos with tape blocking out the badge in the middle of the winged grille, you might think this is a new Mazda6. The thing is, Mazdas look pretty darn good, so no one's complaining. And when you look at the rest of the car, there's a fair amount of originality going on. Aside from the GM-generic taillights (they look like they could fit on a Chevy, right?) the lines and details are all pretty fresh, and there are some design elements pulled from Buick's gorgeous Avista concept. A sweeping roofline leads to some healthy shoulders at the back, creating a coupe-ish profile with a very abbreviated rear deck. This appears to be a hatchback model and not the four-door sedan, but the general look should carry over. This is definitely a big improvement over the somewhat bulbous current-generation Regal, which also started life out as an Insignia. The car shown here is the Insignia OPC model, with Brembo brakes, big wheels, side skirts, and a front end with big (likely fake) intakes. It will most likely translate to a Regal GS for our market, as is the case with the current OPC and GS. The new Regal/Insignia is expected to use the same platform as the new Buick LaCrosse, which is also shared by the Chevy Malibu and Impala. They should once again be available with front- or all-wheel drive and a choice of turbocharged four-cylinder engines. Rumor has the Opel versions debuting at the Geneva show March, and the Buick would likely follow, possibly in New York in April. View 13 Photos And then there's the wagon. All signs point to Buick finally bringing the most practical Insignia to our market as a Regal. We got wind of a focus group testing the idea, Buick has trademarked the name Regal Tour X. That version would likely go up against the Audi Allroad in the classy, slightly lifted all-wheel-drive wagon category, basically acting as an almost-crossover for people who want a wagon but won't admit it to themselves. The Insignia wagon caught here is also an OPC, and we think it looks even more handsome than the hatch-sedan shown above. The trim piece stretching from the base of the A-pillar all the way up and back down to the tail is a nice touch in profile view, although we're not so sure about how it terminates abruptly at the taillight.

GM trademarks 'Sport Touring' for Buick Regal, LaCrosse

Thu, May 7 2015

Discovering trademarking or patents from automakers always fascinates us since the filings hint at the possible future of motoring. Based on two recent applications, Buick has something possibly brewing for two of its sedans, because the company now has the trademark for Sport Touring on the Regal (pictured above in GS trim) and LaCrosse. According to GM Inside News, both trademarks are dated April 27 and are simply described to the US Patent and Trademark Office as being for "motor land vehicles, namely, automobiles." That doesn't narrow things down at all. However, since the moniker is specifically for both sedans, Sport Touring might be a new trim or special edition for them. Buick had no comment when reached by Autoblog. Of course, there are a whole host of automotive trademarks that are claimed that end up with no actual vehicle in showrooms. Unfortunately, we just have to wait to find out if this is another case like the Buick Enclave Tuscan where the filing offers a preview of the future or a situation like the still long-awaited return of the Supra.
