If you are aware of this model of the BUICK LeSabre LIMITED, you are aware that this effectively the same as a PARK AVENUE and it is probably one of the BEST kept secrets as to how really good these cars are. The car is perhaps one of the most beautiful, reliable, comfortable and well built vehicles to come out of Detroit in the 2000 model years. My wife bought this car four years ago. It was hand picked because of its low miles and beautiful condition. It has been well maintained, carefully driven and is in VERY good condition. It had originally been driven primarily on the highway and that still applies.

The beautiful leather interior is almost flawless. The interior features AM / FM radio with CD. It is set up for the wonderful General Motors ON STAR safety features should you wish to continue with that subscription service. The front seats are multi position electric seats with lumbar support and other such features. The AIR CONDITIONING is excellent.

The tires are low mileage Michelins with good tread, the front tires being virtually brand new. Brakes, transmission and running gear are good and have always had appropriate maintenance. It has a recent newer battery installed.

The exterior color is medium blue with the special custom sparkle paint. Looks fantastic in the sun light.

Based on the other similar year Buicks' performance, this car should last many more years. Mileage is in the 20's in town and high 20's (almost 30's) on road trips. We have found it a joy to make long highway trips in.

We have not experienced leaks nor virtually any maintenance problems while we have owed it.

Email or call 864-367-3377 if you have questions.

This is a pick up item here in Anderson, SC (half way between Atlanta, GA. and Charlotte, NC, on Interstate 85.

It IS possible for us to arrange for delivery but please talk with us prior to bidding.

While in really good condition, it is sold, as is, where is, with no warranty expressed or implied other than a clear South Carolina title.

Buick boss shuts down idea of importing Opel Adam

Wed, Mar 30 2016

Anyone hoping for Buick to sell small city cars in America, you're not going to like this story. Buick boss Duncan Aldred has effectively ruled out importing the stylish Opel Adam city car for US drivers. Yep, this is us being bummed. Admittedly, the business case for Adam is not as strong as it used to be. Gas is cheap and consumers have fallen back in love with the idea of high-riding crossovers instead of efficient cars. That's why Buick sold twice as many teeny, tiny Encore CUVs in 2015 as it did its smallest car, the Verano. With that in mind, slotting in another car, let alone one below the Verano, isn't a great idea. Of course, Aldred didn't come out and say as much, even though he campaigned for a US-market Adam in the past. "I very much did feel when I came over that that could really help accelerate the Buick brand story," the executive told Automotive News at last week's New York Auto Show. "I don't see that as much. Whether the market shifted or the fashion nature of those cars has changed, I don't know. But I wouldn't be looking for a small, B-segment car today." That, friends, is a real bummer. Adding a car like the Adam, even in a small, captive-import capacity would add a real dose of fun to Buick showrooms and (we're guessing) would bring in younger foot traffic. Related Video:

Buick's Velite 5 is a rebadged Chevy Volt for China

Mon, Mar 27 2017

There's nary a mention of the famous Chevy Bowtie badge in Buick's press release for its new Velite 5. No shoutouts to the extended-range Volt, with which the Chinese-market Velite clearly borrows its hybrid gasoline/electric technology. But that's okay; to borrow an adage, if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck. And, as you can see from the image above, the Buick Velite 5 is a duck Volt with a Tri-Shield badge. The Velite 5's 1.5-liter engine and lithium ion battery pack provide up to 466 miles of range, with the first 62 miles or so coming on battery power alone. That's more range than Chevy quotes for the Volt, so we're not sure what methodology Buick is using to calculate mileage. Still, even if it's more like the Volt's estimated range of 53 real-world miles, it would be enough for many Chinese drivers to avoid the gas station altogether. Buick showed off a Velite Concept late last year that doesn't appear to share much at all with this new Volt-based production model. But since the brand is promising more plug-ins and EVs in the coming years, we wouldn't be surprised to see further models carrying the Velite moniker, perhaps one based on the all-electric Chevy Bolt EV. GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.
