2000 Buick Le Sabre custom. Cold air, good heat, car is mechanically in good condition, recent tires good tread, brakes, oil changed regular schedule,drive axle and CVJ replaced 1000 miles ago, runs good, drives good 4 speed auto w/overdrive, cruise, 28/29 MPG @ 70 mph interstate. Steering wheel controls for the AM/FM/CD/Cassette, premium GM sound system. no hail damage, glass in good condition. Leather interior, full motion, lumbar support (driver's seat) electric seats, sun visors both have vanity mirrors w/lights, GM auto rain detector/auto windshield wipers. Child safety locks, child seat anchor, heated rear glass, auto leveling ride control, traction control, remote key entry for doors and trunk. Remote mirrors. Auto tenting rear view mirror with compass. New battery purchased year ago. I have purchased a new OEM primed fender included (not installed), new passenger headlight installed. Planning to purchase a new drivers side headlight assembly, (it's very cloudy looking compared to the new one on the right).
The wife has driven most of the miles on this car, to from work, church, grocery store. She and friends have made 5 recent trips between Central Kentucky and Fort Worth, Austin TX. 1200 miles one way, I personally would trust the car to make the trip today, but remember this is a used car with 134k miles and doesn't have a warranty implied or expressed. Now The negative, 2 months ago The wife lightly sideswiped the rear bumper of a pickup truck in a tight parking lot, all damage on passenger side, at very low speed, headlight cracked (replaced), front fender damage (purchased OEM front fender, not installed but included) passenger front door has some dents, damage. Some small dents rear wheel well crown just behind rear door seam. See the pictures of the damage. It isn't major or overly ugly but front door needs replaced or repaired, front fender needs installed or repaired, or just reinstall the plastic wheel well and drive it the way it is now. The paint is bubbling up in a small area under gas door. I purchased a 2005 LeSaber to replace this one, same car just newer (she likes Buicks). This car was purchased in 2003 from the orig owner with 27000 miles and has been the wife's only daily transportation and has been very dependable. I really hate to sell the car but need the funds to help pay for the 2005. This is not a junk car but a high insurance estimate including my 1k deductible borderline met the total loss guideline. The car has a clear title no liens or restrictions. Questions call 859-925-3248 Note: there isn't any hidden damage that I'm aware of, the streak on the door is a light reflection. Terrible picture taking with a cheap camera. Same on passenger side reflection of the building behind me. Getting good pictures right isn't easy for a photo dummy. Jay Leno finds no detail neglected on Icon's Derelict 1948 Buick Super
Wed, Apr 1 2015Jonathan Ward seems to have one of the greatest jobs in the world. As the CEO at Icon, he's in charge of not only the company's fantastic trucks but its Derelict series of semi-restored classics, as well. Ward's vehicles are no strangers to Jay Leno's Garage, but the latest guest on the show might be one of Icon's coolest yet. What looks like a 1948 Buick Super Convertible on the outside hides the supercharged heart of a Corvette ZR1 underneath. Like the rest of the Derelict series, this old Buick's toasted paint and pitted chrome are all part of the charm of the car, and it's really a case of beauty being more than skin deep. The Super rides on a custom chassis and suspension to make the convertible a far better driver than even a pristine original example. Plus, Ward hides all sorts of modern upgrades inside that are practically invisible until he points them out. Leno absolutely falls in love with driving the Derelict Buick. Buick's new logo ditches the ring, levels the shields

The new-look emblem appeared in a trademark filing in March 2022, and a leaked image posted on social media has given us a better look at the design that should appear on production cars in the not-too-distant future. Published on Instagram by an account called Buick_Saudi_Arabia, the photo shows what seems to be Buick's new logo on the middle of a steering wheel. The changes made aren't groundbreaking, but they're certainly noticeable. The ring is gone, and the red, white, and blue shields are separated from each other and positioned on the same level. Buick has used its current logo for decades without significantly updating it, so what prompted the company to give the design a makeover? Several factors undoubtedly influenced this decision, but one that's worth shining light on is that the brand is no longer twinned with Germany-based Opel. For many years, some Opel-designed models made their way to the United States with Buick emblems on both ends. No one in Europe has heard of a Buick Regal; folks there know the sedan as the Opel Insignia. And, since the visual differences between these cars were often minor, using a Buick logo whose basic silhouette was similar to Opel's logo simplified the design process. Neatly integrating, say, Chevrolet's bowtie-shaped emblem into the Insignia's grille would have been harder, though more improbable acts of badge-engineering have been committed (the Ford Maverick was once a Nissan). General Motors sold Opel to PSA Peugeot-Citroen in 2017, and both carmakers are now part of Stellantis, so Buick's trans-Atlantic design ties have been cut. Losing the Opel connection gives Buick's design team more leeway to experiment with new ideas, like a revamped logo. Keep in mind that nothing is official yet. Full details and an explanation of what the new logo means should emerge soon. Why the shields? Buick isn't rooted in sword-fighting, so why have shields appeared on its cars for over 60 years? The answer, according to Buick, is relatively vague. What's certain is that the tri-shield logo didn't appear on Buick's early cars.
2018 Buick LaCrosse gets a mild hybrid model, lower price
Mon, Jun 5 2017Update: Buick provided us with horsepower and fuel economy figures. The text has been updated to reflect this. Buick is rolling out a variety of updates for the 2018 LaCrosse, including a new mild eAssist hybrid. Like the previous generation LaCrosse and Regal eAssist models, this one features a small electric motor and an equally small battery pack that together augment rather than supplant the gasoline engine. The motor, attached to a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, helps to make takeoffs smoother and provide additional torque on demand. The gasoline engine still does the majority of the work, though. Combined, the powertrain produces 194 horsepower and 187 pound-feet of torque. It will also allow the LaCrosse to get 25 mpg in the city, and 35 mpg on the highway. While the electric powertrain doesn't provide primary propulsion, it does come with other benefits. The small battery means the LaCrosse maintains a folding rear seat. The battery also provides power to accessories when the engine shuts off at a standstill. This mild hybrid powertrain will be the standard engine for all 2018 LaCrosses, and they come with a lower base price. The 2018 model will start at $31,415, which is about $1,500 less than the lowest priced 2017 V6 LaCrosse. The V6 will still be available as an option, and Buick has updated it, too.
