1960 Buick LeSabre Convertible Unrestored Survivor 61,124 original miles PA Car since New Fresh out of private collection Original #'s Matching 364 Accessory TrailMaster Lights Guidematic Power Headlight Control Tissue Dispenser Vanity Mirror Power Steering Power Brakes If you understand the phrase "they're only original once", then this may be the car for you and your collection. Unrestored 1960 Buick LeSabre Convertible. Other than a brand new recent convertible top and upgraded Skylark wheels/whitewall tires, this Buick is unrestored and original including the paint, chrome, interior, trim & glass...One of the nicest survivor cars I have seen of lately let alone had the pleasure to own. Recent "going over" of the brakes, fuel system, tune up, new muffler with period style dual tips and miscellaneous odds & ends. Starts and runs excellent with all items working including the original tube AM radio and even the clock with a quick reset after sitting...While the car isn't perfect as most 55 year old survivor cars aren't, it is highly above average, even nicer than some restored cars and beyond impressive given how well the finishes have remained over the years. Some light detailing, freshening and 2 or 3 small spot ins to the original paint makes this car just stunning to see in person. Original paint confirmed with digital micrometer paint gauge as pictured below...All 7 windows including the windshield are the original 1960 Date coded "U" E-Z EYE Plate glass and have never been out of the car...Turns more heads than one can imagine and once you tell someone the car is unrestored, it becomes the center of attention at any car show or cruise nite...I could go on and on about the survivor condition of this car but the following 85 Hi-Resolution photos do a much better job describing the car... Overseas & Outside of US bidders & buyers welcome provided buyer guidelines are followed including payment deadlines. GOOGLE ME! GM cutting production at two plants
Thu, Feb 26 2015General Motors is continuing to adjust to excess supply of some of its brands' models. To get production more in line with the vehicles' actual demand, the automotive giant is idling two of its factories in North America in the coming months. The Orion Assembly plant is going to be down from March 9-13, according to an anonymous plant worker and another insider speaking to Automotive News. The factory builds the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano, but there are plenty of both models sitting on dealer lots, including 216 days worth of Sonics, according to AN. The factory already had two idle periods announced to reduce the excess. In addition, downtime is scheduled at GM's "Flex" line at the Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, plant from April 13-17. This affects supply of the Chevrolet Camaro, Impala, Buick Regal and Cadillac XTS. Among them, the automotive giant has the largest supply of Regals ready for dealers with 213 days worth of them, according to AN. The future for the whole Oshawa factory is cloudy in general, though. There are rumors that it could close entirely in the future because the Camaro is leaving and the Regal and XTS might not last much longer than 2017. The Canadian government and the labor union there intend to put up a fight, though. Next Buick Regal to inherit styling cues from Opel Monza concept
Mon, 06 Oct 2014Ever look at a concept car from a foreign auto marque like Opel and wonder what relevance it will have to you as an American consumer? Well, we'll tell you: at least as far as the Opel Monza concept goes, it could mean a lot.
Speaking with Automotive News at the Paris Motor Show, Opel chief Karl-Thomas Neumann said, "You will see the Monza when you see the next Insignia." And the Insignia, we needn't point out, is essentially ported over to American showrooms as the Buick Regal.
The relationship between the Regal and Insignia only stands to grow closer as Opel design chief Mark Adams has also been charged with tightening the bonds between the two automakers positioned on opposite shores of the Atlantic. Adams also intends to imbue the next Insignia with more "premium brand values" in order to "add polish to the brand." Which in turn means that the Regal will be designed to look more upscale, too.
Next Opel Insignia to adopt sleeker looks
Fri, Aug 21 2015The very first set of spy photos of the next-generation Opel Insignia have dropped, giving us a look at the more svelte, aggressive, and stylish look of the popular sedan. As a reminder, the Insignia is sold here in the United States as the Buick Regal. There's only so much we can discern from these photos, thanks to the very heavy camouflage. But we can get a look at the new Audi A7-like roofline, which our spies citing similarities to the Opel Monza concept car from the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Monza link fits with our previous reports, which claimed the gullwinged wagon would serve as a prime source of inspiration for both the Insignia and US-market Regal. Aside from the significantly redesigned sheetmetal, Opel is also increasing the size of its flagship sedan, adding nearly four inches between the axles. According to our spies, the goal is to build a vehicle comparable in size to the Skoda Superb, a roughly Volkswagen Passat-sized sedan based on the VW Group's MQB platform. What's most interesting for US customers, though, is the body style shown here. Like the aforementioned A7, the next Insignia will be offered as a five-door model, rather than a traditional sedan. The five-door hatch would later be joined by a traditional wagon. It's unclear whether the US market Buick will take a similar route, or whether General Motors will demand a four-door variant exclusive to North America. Check out the spy photos above, and keep an eye open for more on the next Insignia/Regal. Don't plan on seeing it at an auto show any time soon, though. It's not slated to debut until the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.
