This auction is for an all original 1984 Buick Grand National. This car is 1 of 2000 built in 1984.I bought it from the original owner who used it as a daily driver until last year when I bought it. It even still has good inspection until next year. The title is in my name so I am the second owner only for a year. When I bought it I took it off the road to do a restoration on it this year , but I have no time for it. I only started to remove the door panel . The car is complete except for the hood emblems, center caps, jack and shifter knob are missing. It will need a battery, but it will run with a battery. It does smoke a little from sitting all winter and will need air in the front tires but I will put air in them. The bumper fillers are bad. Under the hood the engine has some oil leaks, probably valve cover gaskets. I think the power steering pump is low on fluid. The car has some dings on the hood. I have replacement doors that come with the car because the doors on it are shot. The replacement doors I have are a drivers side door from a Grand National and a tan passenger door. They are included with this auction. The replacement doors have some minor dings , no rot , only a couple light spots of light surface rust but they are some of the most solid regal doors I personally have seen. The rocker panels and door jams on the car are solid The car leaks water in on the passenger side by the firewall when it rains. I haven't looked into why. The floors do have surface rust on the inside, I did pull up the carpet. Under the car is solid. The rear drivers side floor pan is dented up like someone tried to jack the car up on it. The passenger side rear floor pan does have some rust through. The frame is really clean and from what I see no rot on the frame and barely any rust on the frame. If anything its light surface rust. The driver side quarter panel does have rust on the bottom and it looks like it rubbed against a garage. The passenger side quarter panel looks good. The entire car is straight. The trunk floor looks solid. The drivers side quarter panel inside the trunk does have some rust. The interior needs a good cleaning. The drivers side visor is broken. The drivers seat is ripped. The headliner is bad. Power windows work , power locks don't. The exhaust is missing from the cat back. The gas tank was replaced within the last couple years.Feel free to ask questions, I only had the car on the road for a week last year and I would not consider it road worthy right now because its been sitting since last year. It will need to be towed or trailed at the buyers expense. I am not responsible for transport. A deposit of $500.00 will need to be sent PayPal within 48 hours of the auctions close. The car will need to be paid for and picked up within 14 days of the auctions close. I will only accept cash in full at the time of pick up. Car is sold as is where is. All sales are final.

Consumer Reports says infotainment systems 'growing first-year reliability plague'
Mon, 27 Oct 2014The Consumer Reports Annual Auto Reliability Survey (right) is out, and the top two spots look much the same as last year's list with Lexus and Toyota in first and second place, respectively. However, there are some major shakeups for 2014, with Acura plunging eight spots from third in 2013 to 11th this year, and Mazda replaces it on the lowest step of the podium. Honda and Audi round out the top five. This year's list includes six Japanese brands in the top 10, two Europeans, one America and one Korean.
Acura isn't the only one taking a tumble, though. Infiniti is the biggest loser this year by dropping 14 spots to 20th place. Other big losses come from Mercedes-Benz with an 11-place fall to 24th, and GMC, which declines 10 positions to 19th.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, it's not traditional mechanical bugs hauling down these automaker's reliability scores. Instead, pesky problems with infotainment systems are taking a series toll on the rankings. According to Consumer Reports, complaints about "in-car electronics" were the most grumbled about element in new cars. Problem areas included things like unresponsive touchscreens, issues pairing phones and multi-use controllers that refused to work right.

Autotrader picks best cars for 2015's college grads
Sun, May 31 2015Summer is here and the school season is winding to a close. That means millions of students will be graduating college and (hopefully) entering the workforce. For many, that will mean buying a new car suited to the new stage in life into which they will now be embarking. That can be a bewildering choice, especially for someone who's never bought a car before. Fortunately, Autotrader has come up with a short list of recommended cars – new and used – which it recommends to the graduating class of 2015. Among the site's top choices are some compelling crossovers and hatchbacks, including the Buick Encore, Chevy Trax, and Jeep Renegade, as well as the Honda Fit, Nissan Versa Note, Mazda3 and Fiat 500. Can't stretch to buying new, or don't see the point? Autotrader has also identified the Toyota Camry, Ford Fusion and even the Lexus IS as smart buys in the certified pre-owned category. "Any time someone goes through a major life change, such as graduating college, they need to determine if their current ride makes sense for their lifestyle, from both a financial and functional perspective," says Autotrader editor Brian Moody. "For example, while that hand-me-down SUV from your parents was nice when you turned 16, you may want to opt for a safer, more fuel-efficient car as you transition into the working world." Autotrader Names 10 Best Cars for Recent College Graduates ATLANTA, May 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- For many, graduating college is a milestone like no other – it represents a new chapter, a proud accomplishment and, fortunately or unfortunately, financial independence. Luckily for graduates who are in the market for a new car to suit their post-college lifestyle, Autotrader's expert editors say now is a great time to make a purchase, as dealerships are flush with affordable models that are fun, fuel-efficient and thoughtfully designed.
