LAST OFFER

This Buick was involved in an accident that broadsided the passenger side only. Only 3 independent axles. Tire/wheel in trunk.

******Trunk closes and is not damaged. It was opened to remove gear the day after the accident. 12 disc player smashed in impact.

****THERE ARE SCRATCHES on the hood from glass or something similar....NO CREASES OR COLLISION DAMAGE on front clip.

Look at the accident report. January 7th is reported. Engine and transmission and front clip along with other interior and exterior parts. Only 76k on engine. NEW Transmission. Tow only. I GOT to get rid of this NOW so please make offers.

****EBAY ME WHEN MESSAGING. I DO NOT USUALLY CHECK THE OLD ADDRESS TOO MUCH. I WILL SEND OTHER PICS THEN WHEN REQUESTED. SUPERCHARGER IS INCLUDED.
.
I made a lot of new repairs in the recent months from August and the transmission is only less than a year old. I am selling it for the engine & transmission, front clip, driver's side panels & fenders ,partial rear such as lights and trunk hood, and interior (if not just the leather off the seats and panels. Stock, leather seats, can be stashed for changing to power seats to another model.

Buyer will arrange pick-up. Pick-up will need to be made with flatbed tow truck to take off property. This was a granny-mobile, and was taken care of very, very well before the unfortunate collision. Engine starts and will go into gear properly. All dash equipment works. Front airbags did NOT deploy. Only one passenger side airbag did.

All pictures will give proper examples of interior WHEN REQUESTED OVER MESSAGING...

Windshield cracked from impact...

I cannot stress enough that i just took an major loss with rebuilding the front end steering and wheel assemblies. This is an almost miracle parts car. I will settle no less than the price given unless a better offer due to location or other circumstances make such changes. All Maintenance has been recorded and can be faxed and or emailed when needed.

Front clips go for $900-$1500. Mine? $1200.
Engine And New Transmission @ $1000-3500 Mine= $2800
Transmission was replaced by insurance due to a crack in the housing after a speed hump. (Damn Speed humps that are uphill).
Air cleaner is a cone however i have stock air cleaner as well. This was made for a highway vehicle in the city for torque and zippiness.

MY LOSS IS YOUR GAIN.

This also includes a supercharger that is NOT attached but only needs to be properly installed. Supercharger, as is and a bonus to the purchase of vehicle. .
. ****THE SUPERCHARGER WAS NOT EVER ATTACHED TO THIS VEHICLE.

New Front End:4 Tie rods, 2 CV axles, 2 front hub bearings, 2 new wheels!!!! Tires are almost new.(3)

Fenders and lights: Especially the spare tire, and back seat hatch frame.

You're getting a great parts car that just wasnt expected to have such a short life after a rebuild like its gotten. Especially for the model. Lots of new extras/parts to upgrade your current LeSabre.

AS IS. NO RETURNS.

1987 Buick GNX with 8.5 miles sells for ... well, you won't believe it [UPDATE]

Mon, Feb 11 2019

UPDATE, FRIDAY, FEB. 15: Blowing past what was believed to be the previous sales record of $165,000, this 8.5-mile 1987 Buick GNX sold for $200,000. It jumped approximately $80,000 in the final 10 minutes. The winning bid went to username PETRO917, who joined Bring a Trailer in February, seemingly specifically to bid on the GNX. The previous story appears below. Automotive grails are expected to cost unfathomable amounts of cash, but this 8.5-mile (EIGHT!) 1987 Buick GNX could reach monetary digits not seen before. With four days still left on the Bring a Trailer auction, the GNX is already up to $100,000. The Grand National, particularly the GNX, is one of those cars that has skyrocketed in value in the past 10 years. It's been earning payouts that put it in a rare class of General Motors vehicles typically occupied by classic Corvettes and Camaros. At the Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach auction in 2015, a 362-mile example sold for a brain-scrambling $165,000, likely the most ever paid for a GNX. Last year, the first GNX ever released to the public (VIN No. 1 and 2 were kept by the company) had 8,200 miles and sold for $126,500. The most expensive GNX ever sold on Bring a Trailer had 28,000 miles and ended at $60,000 in summer 2018. Bidding on this example is already $40K past that, with days to go. To the shock and dismay of many, this ultra-rare performance icon has been driven less than the distance of a half marathon. Its odometer reading makes it possibly the most pristine GNX on the planet. After it was originally sold in Mena, Arkansas, it simply sat on display in a Texas dealership for decades. The seller purchased the car in 2002 and supposedly kept it in a climate-controlled environment. Plastic wrapping over the seats and door panels further the immaculate cleanliness. According to the listing, the only parts that have been replaced are the battery and a relay switch, both of which come with the sale. In a comment on the auction, the owner shared the reason he has decided to sell the car: Collecting is enjoyable only if you can share the collection with other people of similar mind who can also appreciate it. I am at a point in my life when the relationships, not the material possessions, mean the most to me. The time has come for someone else to own a piece of history and share it with those individuals most important in his or her life.

Bob Seger's Detroit Made music video is an homage to the Motor City

Tue, 16 Sep 2014

At this point, Bob Seger feels like the living embodiment of old-school rock 'n' roll. The Michigan native has been strumming out classic records like Night Moves for decades, and he just released a new single called Detroit Made. It sounds like a future staple of just about every classic car show within the next few years, and the video is dedicated to the Motor City, past and future.
Detroit Made is all about cruising in the city in a classic Buick Electra 225, perhaps better known as a "deuce and a quarter." It's straight-down-the-middle rock and could just as easily be from a decades-old Seger album as something new.
The video for the new single mixes shots of American classics cruising along Woodward Avenue with a contemporary look at the city. Sure, there are the well-known dilapidated buildings falling into rubble, but the people there aren't just letting the city die. Other parts show the attempts to clean things up and rebuild. Check out the video if you need a few minutes of old school rockin' in your life.

Opel Cascada close to getting green light for US

Fri, 13 Sep 2013

For a company with a long tradition of grand touring convertibles, it's almost unseemly that General Motors doesn't offer a properly relaxed four-seat convertible in North America. There's the Chevrolet Camaro, of course, but it's not big on rear-seat space and it doesn't offer that sort of serene demeanor that many open-air buyers crave. We're thinking of something more refined and, dare we say, elegant. Something a bit closer to the Opel Cascada.
The General's front-wheel drive convertible went on sale in Europe this year, and while it seemed like a natural fit for its Buick brand in America, it's never been sold here. That may be about to change, however. Back in June, CEO Dan Akerson hinted he'd like to see the Cascada available in the US, and now there's word from Edmunds that importation "could happen soon." That's according to an unnamed insider at the company.
