1969 Buick Electra 225 Custom 2 door coupe......44,000 original miles
I purchased the car from the previous owner who had the car for the last 22 years. He always kept it garaged and didn't drive it much as he had other cars. Everything works on the car. Cold air, power antenna, power locks, power seat. The interior is like new the seats show no wear, good headliner, no cracks in the dash, carpet is in good shape. All the gauges are clear. Radio sounds great. The car comes with the spare tire and jack and clean trunk. The engine shows some wear typical of a 44,000 mile car. It is a 430 4 barrel connected to an automatic transmission with power windows and power brakes. It starts, runs and drives excellent , it floats down the road. The chassis is rust free and much of the original undercoating is visible. The exterior is shiny and bright. However there are lots of nicks on both sides of the car. It looks like it must have been parked where people didn't care if they hit it. Please look at the pictures. Despite the nicks the car shows very well. The glass is all in excellent condition. The original window sticker and owners protecto plate comes with the car along with the owners manual. The chrome and stainless is all in excellent shape the rear bumper has some small dents. The vinyl top is in excellent condition with no bubbling or defects. The tires are about 50% the white walls look like new and its topped off with a great set of chrome full wheel hubcaps. The car is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if the car should sell locally. Please don't bid before contacting me if you have a negative or 0 ebay feedback. Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
