We acquired this Unusually "LOW MILEAGE" Buick,from a local Charity and was informed by the Curator,Auto Check and original owner that the 45000 miles are true and correct.We have been in the Business of buying and selling cars for the past 40+ years,and our specialty is vintage Low Mileage vehicles. They don't come any cleaner nicer and original as this well kept Buick.The Arctic White exterior is in very clean condition and shines to a fine new car luster.There is no evidence of any Body work,rust or corrosion on the doors panels or underneath and is clean and fresh looking as one wouls expect with only 45000 actual miles. Inside is in extremely clean condition from front to rear.The headliner is clean and tight with no sagging of the cloth.The cigarette lighter and ash tray has never been used.There is the original spare and jacking hardware in the trunk and has never been used.There are four very fresh radials on all four corner. Mechanically this Buick shows all the signs of being well maintained and cared for.The 3.1 6cyl motor fires right to life with no oil smoke or leaks around the block or out of the tailpipe.The automatic transmission shifts smoothly and quietly through the gears.There are no electricall issues with the a/c,power windows,heat or defrost. Bring back the Bronco! Trademarks we hope are actually (someday) future car names
Tue, Mar 17 2015Trademark filings are the tea leaves of the auto industry. Read them carefully – and interpret them correctly – and you might be previewing an automaker's future product plans. Yes, they're routinely filed to maintain the rights to an iconic name. And sometimes they're only for toys and clothing. But not always. Sometimes, the truth is right in front of us. The trademark is required because a company actually wants to use the name on a new car. With that in mind, here's a list of intriguing trademark filings we want to see go from paperwork to production reality. Trademark: Bronco Company: Ford Previous Use: The Bronco was a long-running SUV that lived from 1966-1996. It's one of America's original SUVs and was responsible for the increased popularity of the segment. Still, it's best known as O.J. Simpson's would-be getaway car. We think: The Bronco was an icon. Everyone seems to want a Wrangler-fighter – Ford used to have a good one. Enough time has passed that the O.J. police chase isn't the immediate image conjured by the Bronco anymore. Even if we're doing a wish list in no particular order, the Bronco still finds its way to the top. For now (unfortunately), it's just federal paperwork. Rumors on this one can get especially heated. The official word from a Ford spokesman is: "Companies renew trademark filings to maintain ownership and control of the mark, even if it is not currently used. Ford values the iconic Bronco name and history." Trademarks: Aviator, AV8R Company: Ford Previous Use: The Aviator was one of the shortest-run Lincolns ever, lasting for the 2003-2005 model years. It never found the sales success of the Ford Explorer, with which it shared a platform. We Think: The Aviator name no longer fits with Lincoln's naming nomenclature. Too bad, it's better than any other name Lincoln currently uses, save for its former big brother, the Navigator. Perhaps we're barking up the wrong tree, though. Ford has made several customized, aviation themed-Mustangs in the past, including one called the Mustang AV8R in 2008, which had cues from the US Air Force's F-22 Raptor fighter jet. It sold for $500,000 at auction, and the glass roof – which is reminiscent of a fighter jet cockpit – helped Ford popularize the feature. Trademark: EcoBeast Company: Ford Previous Use: None by major carmakers.

She channels Odell Beckham Jr., laying out to make the catch – and conveniently Beckham is actually there to jokingly shoot her down. Did Buick nail this one, or was it (as Beckham quips) "out of bounds?" Let us know.
Buick's Velite 5 is a rebadged Chevy Volt for China
Mon, Mar 27 2017There's nary a mention of the famous Chevy Bowtie badge in Buick's press release for its new Velite 5. No shoutouts to the extended-range Volt, with which the Chinese-market Velite clearly borrows its hybrid gasoline/electric technology. But that's okay; to borrow an adage, if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck. And, as you can see from the image above, the Buick Velite 5 is a duck Volt with a Tri-Shield badge. The Velite 5's 1.5-liter engine and lithium ion battery pack provide up to 466 miles of range, with the first 62 miles or so coming on battery power alone. That's more range than Chevy quotes for the Volt, so we're not sure what methodology Buick is using to calculate mileage. Still, even if it's more like the Volt's estimated range of 53 real-world miles, it would be enough for many Chinese drivers to avoid the gas station altogether. Buick showed off a Velite Concept late last year that doesn't appear to share much at all with this new Volt-based production model. But since the brand is promising more plug-ins and EVs in the coming years, we wouldn't be surprised to see further models carrying the Velite moniker, perhaps one based on the all-electric Chevy Bolt EV.
