1957 Buick Century Riviera 4-door Hardtop on 2040-cars
American Fork, Utah, United States
We bought this car over 20 years ago from the original owner - a 95 year old lady. The car runs and drives great. It's one of the most dependable cars I've ever owned. It always starts right up and is a pleasure to drive. Our amateur body work isn't perfect and the paint is showing some rock chips but, as you can see from the pictures, it's a beautiful car. I just spent days cleaning all the rust out of the trunk and applying POR-15; mainly in the spare well. There were no rust-outs anywhere. Just some surface rust. I put in a new trunk liner as you can see in the pictures. The door panels, dash and headliner are all original and very good. The engine and trans have never been out of the car. We pulled the rear end back to replace the torque ball seal a few years ago. The starter and water pump have been replaced in the last few hundred miles. I just finished re-painting the oil bath air cleaner. The pictures pretty much tell the rest of the story. This isn't a show car and I have priced it accordingly. It's a very nice driver and a great candidate for a total restoration. I'm selling the car so don't be afraid to bid.

Buick Envision to go on sale in third quarter of 2015
Mon, 06 Oct 2014Following an earlier concept and successive teasers, Buick revealed the new Envision crossover a little over a month ago. The thing is, it was launched in China, for China. The question, then, is whether it will make the jump to the North American market. And the answer is: quite possibly.
According to division sales chief Duncan Aldred in speaking to Edmunds, Buick is looking into the prospect of bringing the Envision to the US: "We can't confirm anything, but clearly it is a very nicely designed and executed product that is very much a Buick," said Aldred.
If and when the compact crossover would appear in US showrooms, it would slot in between the smaller Encore and the larger Enclave. It would likely be offered in front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive and mild hybrid configurations. Sources expect it to arrive in the third quarter of 2015 as a competitor to the likes of the Mercedes GLA, Lexus NX and Lincoln MKC.
Buick Regal GS and troupe of basketball dribblers make great beats
Wed, 02 Apr 2014The 166 videos posted by YouTube music video maestro Kurt Hugo Schneider have been watched almost half a billion times. When Coke wanted to do something musically inclined and a little different, it called KHS, and the result was the video Little Talks.
Buick appears to be the next blue chip in line, and KHS' melodic celebration of the 259-horsepower Regal GS is called Epic Basketball + Car Beat. In it, a red Regal sits at center court in Venice Beach, California while a cast of ridiculous dribblers make music with and around the sedan.
We'll let the music speak for itself, which it does quite well in the video below.
Movie Review: Black Air: The Buick Grand National Documentary
Thu, 06 Dec 2012As Buick currently claws and scratches its way back into relevance to compete against luxury brands like Lexus and Acura, it's hard to believe that not too long ago, the brand had a car that was mentioned in the same breath as Corvette, Lamborghini and Ferrari. That car? None other than the Buick Grand National. All black with a turbocharged V6 and some of the quickest acceleration of its time, the Grand National, in today's standards, is along the lines of a 2013 Shelby GT500 with both cars essentially being a working man's supercar.
The last Grand National rolled off the assembly line in Flint, MI on December 11, 1987, and to mark the silver anniversary of that somber occasion, Black Air is a documentary of the Grand National from the perspective of the enthusiast, the collector, the media and even from those at General Motors responsible for creating such a sinister legend. Like the car itself, Andrew Filippone Jr. shoots the documentary in a raw fashion, and it definitely helps to show why a low-volume muscle car from the 1980s is still the object of obsession for many automotive enthusiasts to this day.
