Phaeton featured long, low body lines with a swept-down rear deck,

Buick Century 4 door Phaeton Convertible offered here has been part of the
prior owner’s collection since 1975 where it was carefully used on a regular
basis and always maintained. The odometer reading shows 9851 miles since restoration
The previous owner stated that this car was used in the movie Casablanca. It is an exceptionally clean, older restoration. Today, it is ready to use and enjoy and would be a smart choice for touring and driving events while still presenting well inside and out. Close examination of this vehicle reveals that is has always been a good, honest and solid car. The fit and finish of the body panels is nice throughout. The chassis and underbody areas are nice and solid as well. The engine bay and chassis were restored at the time of restoration and still remain quite presentable. The chrome and stainless trim items are also well presented and match the overall condition of the car. The car is equipped with many standard features and factory options including flawless leather seats, dual side mounts, front and rear bumper guards, radio, heater and white wall tires. As the slogan goes, “When better cars are built, Buick will build them.” By 1938 there is no question that Buick had achieved its stature as one of America's finest. Buick Envision aces IIHS crash tests
Tue, Sep 27 2016If you had any qualms about the safety of a Chinese-built car, set them aside. At least when it comes to the Buick Envision. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has tested the new GM crossover and it passed with flying colors. The Envision is the first Chinese-built Buick sold in the States, and it's also the first Chinese-built car the organization has ever tested. In what is an impressive feat for any new automobile, it earned the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating. This means the crossover comes equipped with a forward collision warning system and earned "Good" marks in all types of collisions, including the difficult small overlap crash test. In addition to the forward collision warning system, an automatic emergency braking system is available on the Envision. Eleven other vehicles earned the TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating, including models from Volvo, Lincoln, Acura, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus and Infiniti. That's good company, and combined with a pleasant, if not world-beating, driving experience, should make the Envision a car worth consideration. Related Video:
Buick to add more GS models?
Fri, 29 Nov 2013Buick may not be the first name that comes to mind when you think of performance automobiles, but fans of the brand know what letters to look for. If you believe the reports, there's a new GNX and Grand National on the way, but in the meantime, Buick may offer more GS models to fill the void.
Currently, the Regal is the only model available as a GS (pictured above), packing the same 259-horsepower turbo four as the Regal Turbo but enhanced with key suspension, brakes and rolling-stock upgrades. As Car and Driver notes, similar upgrades could easily be applied to the Verano and LaCrosse, although maybe not the Encore or Enclave crossovers. Of course, Buick would still have to steer clear of Cadillac's Vsport line, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have a little room to play.
