2009 - Bmw 3-series on 2040-cars
Pachuta, Mississippi, United States
This low mileage, fully loaded 2009 335i Convertible is in great condition and is smoke-free. Black Sapphire Metalic paint job and black leather. It has been garage kept, regularly detailed, and it has received all recommended and optional maintenance through a licensed BMW dealership. As mentioned in the condition description, there is no major damage, just a small door ding that has been painted and some normal wear to the plastic on the steering wheel and around the start button. It has brand new top of the line Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires and new spark plugs. This car is fully loaded, and includes the Premium Package, the Cold WX Package, and the Sport Package. It has an optional Sport suspension for an even tighter ride, which truly makes this car handle like a BMW should. There is no body roll evident when taking a fast corner, despite the extra weight of the convertible top. It comes with an automatic transmission with wheel mounted paddle shifters and and a sport mode. The Convenience Access means that the doors unlock and lock automatically if you touch a door handle with the key in your pocket. Pushbutton engine start with the key in your pocket. What's even more amazing, is that you can JUST PRESS A BUTTON ON THE KEY FOB TO RAISE OR LOWER THE HARDTOP CONVERTIBLE ROOF! It's got heated front seats and steering wheel, rain-sensing wipers, and spray bars to keep the headlights clean when you use your washer fluid. Chrome door accents. Power passenger and driver seats with lumbar adjustment. Front sports seats. 18" Alloy wheels. Auto dim rear view mirrors. Bluetooth integration. It has a ski bag with a pass-through for putting skis in the trunk. Yes, you can have skis in your car and the top down! If you have any questions about options please ask. This car was an early lease turn-in that was going to be sold as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle by BMW until it was purchased by another car dealership. I bought it as the second owner and have babied it ever since. It has a completely clean title and all recommended maintenance. I only use premium gasoline. I live near Los Angeles and I am willing to deliver within a two-hour drive. Otherwise, the buyer is responsible for arranging for (and paying for) shipping of the vehicle. I still have a lien on the vehicle through Wells Fargo and part of the sale price will be used to clear the title, but I am working closely with Wells Fargo and the title can be transferred directly to the buyer as soon as payment clears Wells Fargo's account. This will be even easier if you finance through Wells Fargo, but no matter how you decide to pay for the sale, I'll take care of the paperwork and make it as easy as possible. As soon as your payment clears I'm happy to meet you or a delivery truck driver to hand over the the keys and a bill of sale. I know buying a car through the internet can be stressful so if you have any questions or suggestions that would help put your mind at ease please let me know.

A car writer's year in new vehicles [w/video]
Thu, Dec 18 2014Christmas is only a week away. The New Year is just around the corner. As 2014 draws to a close, I'm not the only one taking stock of the year that's we're almost shut of. Depending on who you are or what you do, the end of the year can bring to mind tax bills, school semesters or scheduling dental appointments. For me, for the last eight or nine years, at least a small part of this transitory time is occupied with recalling the cars I've driven over the preceding 12 months. Since I started writing about and reviewing cars in 2006, I've done an uneven job of tracking every vehicle I've been in, each year. Last year I made a resolution to be better about it, and the result is a spreadsheet with model names, dates, notes and some basic facts and figures. Armed with this basic data and a yen for year-end stories, I figured it would be interesting to parse the figures and quantify my year in cars in a way I'd never done before. The results are, well, they're a little bizarre, honestly. And I think they'll affect how I approach this gig in 2015. {C} My tally for the year is 68 cars, as of this writing. Before the calendar flips to 2015 it'll be as high as 73. Let me give you a tiny bit of background about how automotive journalists typically get cars to test. There are basically two pools of vehicles I drive on a regular basis: media fleet vehicles and those available on "first drive" programs. The latter group is pretty self-explanatory. Journalists are gathered in one location (sometimes local, sometimes far-flung) with a new model(s), there's usually a day of driving, then we report back to you with our impressions. Media fleet vehicles are different. These are distributed to publications and individual journalists far and wide, and the test period goes from a few days to a week or more. Whereas first drives almost always result in a piece of review content, fleet loans only sometimes do. Other times they serve to give context about brands, segments, technology and the like, to editors and writers. So, adding up the loans I've had out of the press fleet and things I've driven at events, my tally for the year is 68 cars, as of this writing. Before the calendar flips to 2015, it'll be as high as 73. At one of the buff books like Car and Driver or Motor Trend, reviewers might rotate through five cars a week, or more. I know that number sounds high, but as best I can tell, it's pretty average for the full-time professionals in this business.

2014 BMW 4 Series Convertible is easy, breezy, beautiful
Wed, 20 Nov 2013BMW debuted its 2014 4 Series Convertible today at the LA Auto Show, and the sporting two-door will feature a folding hardtop - like the convertible 3 Series before it - and be offered in 428i and 435i guises.
The 428i Convertible is equipped with BMW's 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, which pumps out 240 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque - good for sprinting from 0-60 miles per hour in 6.2 seconds. The 435i Convertible gets the 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine, which steps up output to 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque. The topless 435i drops the 0-60-mph time to 5.5 seconds. Both cars come standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and BMW says that a manual transmission will not be offered on 4 Series Convertibles in the US market.
The 4 Series Convertible will be offered in Sport Line, Luxury Line and M Sport trims. Pricing starts at $48,750 for the 428i Convertible and $54,900 for the 435i. Head on below to peruse the (long) press release for details.
