2007 Bmw 3-series on 2040-cars
Nashville, Tennessee, United States
2007 BMW 335i e92 with 51,xxx miles. It’s space grey with saddle leather. I have owned it about 2 ½ years and the only thing I have changed is the oil and about three months ago I had a new oem battery installed at my local BMW dealership. The car runs great. The car has a clean carfax with no accidents and a clear title which I have in hand. There are no liens on the title. I purchased it from a BMW dealership and I am the third owner. It had about 43K on it when I bought it. The last owner worked at the BMW dealership so he had the brakes/rotors replaced and all maintenance performed on it before I bought it. I have pictures of all system codes which show the remaining mileage before needing service. It has the sport package, premium package and cold weather package. I put 19” VMR 710’s in gunmetal with Nexen tires on it last year and only have about 3K on the tires/wheels. There are no marks at all on the wheels and they have the TPMS in them. The paint is in great shape for a 2007. All of the marks on the car were done before I bought it. There are a few small scratches on the front bumper (see pic), a small door ding on the passenger door that is only visible when you look down the side of the car and move your head, and the biggest marks are on the rear bumper. It looks as though license plate bolts hit the rear bumper. It appears as though someone tried to repair one mark. I did not see the marks when I bought it and of course, the dealership said the company that transported it must have done it. I’m not sure, but I have never had it fixed. Since there really isn’t any bodywork needed to fix it, (just paint) I was quoted $400 to fix that and the scratches in the front bumper. You can’t really see the marks in the pictures. The interior is in great shape. The back seats and passenger seat look brand new. The driver’s seat looks good as well.

2014 BMW M5 facelift shows up online
Tue, 14 May 2013Is it that time already? Like its predecessors, the current BMW M5 has been endangering US licenses since it first went on sale here in 2012, but its design became a known quantity back at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. Apparently that also means that the F10 generation has already grown tired enough to the "Must Have Latest Set" who can afford these sorts of super saloons that a facelift is in order.
If these leaked images sourced from Autocar are anything to go by, BMW stylists have used a predictably light hand to rework their hottest 5 Series, with a revised grille that echoes the M6 along with modestly resculpted headlamps. The rear end appears wholly unaltered. Interior changes gleaned from a look at the cabin photos include an updated touchpad-equipped iDrive controller and a new steering wheel cribbed from the M6.
No new word on changes to the 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V8 powertrain, but in late April, we heard that BMW was readying new competition packages for the M5 and M6. The packages are said to include 15 more horsepower, revised suspension and steering, along with new wheels and blackened exhaust tips. Given that BMW is known for habitually underrating its cars' horsepower outputs (particularly its M models) we can't help but wonder if its engineers will need to do anything other than wave a magic wand to corral those extra ponies underhood...
The Homer to contest 24 Hours of LeMons
Thu, 27 Jun 2013It's finally happened. A 24 Hours of LeMons team has built the definitive interpretation of The Homer from The Simpsons for competition in an upcoming race. As you may recollect, The Homer is the fictional car designed by Homer Simpson for his brother's car company. Designed with a separate compartment for screaming children and other Homer-centric goodies, the animated machine bankrupted its parent company and put Homer's brother out of a job. Now we get to watch it race other crap cans as it tackles Southern California's Buttonwillow Raceway on June 29. Scott Chamberlain, Kris Linquist, Reid Conti, Ben Reilly and Mike Yepes will helm the machine, and Jeff Herman serves as the team's creative director.
The racer is the latest incarnation of a well-abused BMW 3 Series. The team campaigned the same E30 under the "Prickstine" banner as a Chrysler Imperial tribute and "Porcubimmer," the latter being a riff on the ever-popular joke about the difference between porcupines and BMW models. Never gets old. You can check out a video of the finished Homer below, and be sure to like the team on Facebook to see updates from the race. Now, about that Canyonero...
BMW 1 Series GT spied in 7-seat trim
Mon, 20 May 2013As BMW prepares to introduce its first-ever front-wheel drive car, the upcoming 1 Series GT, it looks like there will be at least two versions of the car. A conventional-looking hatchback was spotted testing late last year, but now we see an extended-length version in order to accommodate a third row of seats.
Judging by these spy shots, this 1 Series GT prototype has received an extended wheelbase, larger rear doors and more upright D-pillars compared to our previous spy shots (show in the gallery below) all with the aim of creating additional passenger and cargo space. Like the smaller 1 Series GT, this longer model would likely carry over the same powertrain options, which are expected to consist of three- and four-cylinder engines, a hybrid system and the choice of front- or all-wheel drive. The 1 Series GT could make its debut this fall at the Frankfurt Motor Show, but we might have to wait until next year to see the people mover.
