2003 Bmw Z4 3.0 Automatic Convertible (m-sport Csl Wheels) on 2040-cars
Redondo Beach, California, United States
In KBB "Good Condition". Has the usual visual wear and tear that would be associated with any car of this age (paint is good but some chips and dings, interior seats were scratched by prior owner). However, the car is fully mechanically sound, the engine is in beautiful condition, no leaks. PLEASE come see the car before buying because I cannot show all the details in photos. The price I list reflects the condition of the car already. I am not in a hurry to sell, so no lowballers. If you want to offer $11,200, that is fine. I travel a lot, my schedule to meet is limited and this car will sell fast, so come see it before it's gone. Contact me with your email address and I will be happy to send a ton more pics... some of the pics in this ad are old, the car looks even better now, I am just too busy to upload all the photos, and I really don't care if it sells or not. Reason for selling is that this is my 2nd "fun" car and since I now travel most of the year, it's just sitting in my garage. I have owned the car since April 2012 with 85,890 miles, I am the 3rd owner I believe. Do the math, I have only put about 2,500 miles/year on it. Vehicle has the following repairs/upgrades completed over the last 2 years, plus a fresh oil change within the last 6 months that is not listed below:

BMW invests in carbon fiber for use beyond i and M models
Tue, 13 May 2014The immense amount of resources BMW has poured into its i brand program hasn't stopped, and recent developments indicate it's likely to pay off for BMW and BMW buyers outside the i brand. The i8 has already sold out its first year run, the i3 racked up 10,000 orders before it even went on sale and is already the subject of public discussion about being stretched into an i5, and a new investment in carbon fiber production has the automaker talking about CFRP use in non-i and non-M models.
BMW and SGL Group got together to form SGL Automotive Carbon Fibers (ACF), and the joint venture produces all of the CFRP for the i3 and i8 on two production lines at its plant in Moses Lake, Washington. After already investing $100 million to increase capacity, BMW has announced that another $200 million will add four more production lines, tripling production from 3,000 tons per year to 9,000 tons. When the expansion is complete in 2015, BMW says the Moses Lake facility will be the world's largest carbon fiber plant.
That's a lot of weave and the long view is that it will find its way into core models, with BMW exec Dr. Klaus Draeger saying, "As part of an intelligent mix of materials, we will apply carbon also beyond our BMW i and BMW M models in the future," and be able to do so "at competitive costs and in large quantities."
Mini JCW Paceman vs. BMW M135i in family faceoff
Mon, 15 Apr 2013Over the last year, we've had the chance to drive two of the most exciting hatchbacks in the BMW family - the BMW M135i and the Mini Paceman John Cooper Works - but Autocar has managed to get the two corporate cousins together for a head-to-head comparison. Just like our initial impressions of the Paceman JCW, Autocar has little to complain about this new 215-horsepower hatchback... until it begins to factor in the faster, better-mannered and similarly priced M135i.
Despite laying down an extra 100 hp and delivering a 0-60 time that is almost two seconds quicker, the M135i carries the same price tag of 29,535 pounds in the UK; US pricing for the Paceman starts at $36,200, while it still isn't even clear if the US will be getting the M135i. Even more surprising is the fact that the Paceman falls short of the M135i in regards to rear seat and cargo volume, and just barely squeaks out a win in the fuel economy department. Scroll down to watch the BMW versus Mini hot hatch battle.
BMW M5 turns 30, celebrates sideways
Sun, 13 Apr 2014BMW has a secret, and it's not telling. The brand's M Power blog is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the M5 and is taking a look back at previous models of its Autobahn-storming sedan, but it says that it will end "with a surprise." The celebration kicks off with a short video showing the latest M5 making some smoky donuts.
The original M5 debuted in 1985 and was the company's most expensive model at the time. Still, it packed a 3.5-liter six-cylinder generating a claimed 282 horsepower (286 PS), which was rather potent in its day. The company touted it as the world's fastest production four-door sports sedan at the time.
BMW won't reveal the surprise until it has chronicled all five generations of the M5, but it wouldn't be shocking to see an anniversary edition model appear sometime later this year. Scroll down to check out the video of the muscle sedan celebrating its birthday the only way it knows how.
