2003 Bmw Z4 2.5i Convertible 2-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
Miami Beach, Florida, United States
You can search far and wide and you won't find a used Z4 that has this few of miles along while at the same time being in the pristine condition it is in..........I'm not exaggerating when I say this care looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor.....and it's 11 years later.
This car was purchased in the Washington, DC area in 2003 then quickly shipped to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where it was garaged from day one and driven only occasionally.
BEAUTIFUL BODY, PAINT HAS ALL OF ITS ORIGINAL LUSTER, ZERO DULL SPOTS.
Interior is gorgeous, a minor, almost invisible scratch on the passenger leather seat, again, no one can believe this car is for real.
Options on the BMW Z4 Include:
- Convenience Package (Auto Dimming Interior & Exterior Mirrors, Storage Package, Automatic Climate Control)
- Premium Package (Fully Automatic Power Soft-Top, Power Seats w/ Driver Memory)
- Sports Package (18" Alloy Wheels, Sport Suspension, Sport Button for optional handling experience)
- Heated Front Seats
- Rain Sensor for Windshield Wipers
- Xenon Headlights with Automatic Leveling
- Power Windows, Power Locks, Heated Dual-Power Mirrors, Heated Washer Jets, Cruise Control
- Premium Sound System with DSP (has an internal CD player) with 10 Speakers
-The added bonus, as if there needs to be one is that this BMW comes with a limited edition Art Deco Hardtop. It took the owner's over a year to track down this hard top in the same Merlot of the car. After a year, ONE was located at a dealership in California and shipped to Ft.. Lauderdale. The cost on this hard top alone was $7,000.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
A BMW dealer do a pre-purchase inspection less than a month ago
-new plugs and coils
-completely new fluids (coolant, transmission, oil, wiper, blinker ;)
-fresh alignment
-4 new performance tires with less than 200 miles
Neither this description nor the pictures are going to truly reflect the unbelievable condition of this car. The only reason I am selling it, is that I have sold my Florida condo and have no need for an extra car in Washington, DC. So trust me, this is breaking my heart to sell such a beauty!
My hope is that it will get sold to a "good family" and that they will enjoy and take care of this car as much as I.
The asking price for the car as described above is $19,900, which again includes the $7,000 limited edition hard top and a brand new set of 4 "run flat" tires which cost just over $1,200. These tires have less than 200 miles on them.
And you ask "why is he selling this?" .......my reply..."good question"!

2019 BMW M850i xDrive: How it compares on paper with other GT coupes
Wed, Jul 11 2018Although the hot new vehicles for the rich seem to mainly comprise SUVs and supercars, the neglected luxury GT coupe segment is starting to see some life again. The latest to add a spark to this set is the 2019 BMW M850i xDrive. It goes on sale later this year, and revives the 8 Series that's been dead since the 1990s. The first version available to Americans will be one with a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8, with other versions likely following. Before it launches, we wanted to get a lay of the grand-touring land and see how the new BMW stacks up to the competition in performance, practicality and price. While some of these models have higher-performance or more-affordable iterations, we picked the versions that would be the closest match to this 8 Series model. They include the 2019 Lexus LC 500, 2018 Mercedes-Benz SL 550, 2018 Mercedes-Benz S 560 Coupe and the 2018 Maserati GranTurismo. We will also provide some short summaries on our experiences with these cars, but to get a full picture of each model, be sure to check out their full reviews. And if you want to compare any of these cars with models you don't see here, be sure to try out our car comparison tool. Engines, transmissions and performance On paper, the BMW M850i xDrive is clearly the performer of the group. It has the most power and torque at 523 horsepower and 553 pound-feet. Coupled with all-wheel-drive and an eight-speed automatic, the car is able to overcome its relatively portly 4,478-pound curb weight to hit 60 mph in a scant 3.6 seconds. That's more than half a second quicker than the lightest car in the group, the Mercedes-Benz SL550, which weighs 4,012 pounds. The other three vehicles are in the low- to mid-4-second range to 60 mph. Though the Maserati is the slowest to 60 mph, it does boast the highest top speed of 186 mph. The M850i and SL 550 are electronically limited to 155 mph, while the Lexus is limited to 168 mph. The Mercedes S 560 has the lowest top speed at an electronically limited 130 mph. View 52 Photos Of interest is that there's a 50/50 split among these cars between using a pair of turbos, and having none at all. The BMW and Mercedes resort to forced induction, whereas the Lexus and Maserati choose to stay naturally aspirated. This is likely why the Germans break 500 pound-feet of torque, while the others don't make it to 400. Also interesting is the spread of gear quantity. The Maserati has just six ratios to choose from, and the Lexus has a whopping 10.
BMW to follow Honda back into F1?
Mon, 14 Apr 2014The economic downturn wrought devastating effects on motor racing. Formula One alone lost half its engine suppliers when Honda left at the end of the 2008 season, and both BMW and Toyota followed at the end of 2009. But things are looking up again. Cosworth may have dropped out this season, reducing the engine suppliers to three: Ferrari, Renault and Mercedes, the latter of which admits that it may have left had the engine formula not changed. But Mercedes has stayed and is dominating the championship. Honda is coming back next season. And word around the paddock is it may not be the only one.
According to Giancarlo Minardi - founder of the team now known as Scuderia Toro Rosso - BMW engineers have been conspicuously spotted lately at F1 test sessions and grands prix, lending to speculation that the new engine regulations may entice the Bavarian automaker back into the series. According to Minardi, BMW's marketing division is pushing for the automaker's return to F1, with the board slated to make a decision in May. BMW would be more likely to consider an engine-supply deal rather than taking a team over like it had with Sauber, but with which team or teams it might collaborate remains a big question mark at this point.
As if that's not enough, Ford is said to be considering taking over Cosworth's aborted V6 turbo engine program to take both outfits back into the sport as well. Cosworth supplied F1 engines under the Ford banner for years, but returned under its own name for four seasons from 2010 through 2013 before shuttering its program to develop an engine to meet the new regulations adopted this season.
BMW looking to save billions with cost cuts
Wed, 18 Jun 2014BMW is planning a fairly extensive overhaul in a bid to recoup some its annual costs, with CEO Norbert Reithofer (pictured above) aiming to save three to four billion euro ($4 to $5.4 billion) per year to help keep the company's profit margins between eight and 10 percent, while also maintaining investments in production expansion and new tech. BMW's profit margins sat at 9.4 percent in 2013.
According to Automotive News Europe, Reithofer is none too pleased about costs at Mini and on the 1 Series, although neither AN nor its source story, from Germany's Manager Magazin, elaborate on what steps could be taken to improve losses on either project. That makes it hard to figure out just where the fat will be trimmed from.
What may happen, though, is that BMW attempts to trim 100 million euros ($135 million) from its German labor costs each year; a solution hinted at a few weeks ago by Germany newspaper Muenchner Merkur. While a dramatic cost reduction, 100 million euros still doesn't begin to even approach the savings envisioned by Reithofer.
