Awesome Bmw Z3 W/ Super Low Miles on 2040-cars
Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States
Hello and up for auction is a real gem of a BMW Z3 with super low mileage and perfect history. The car was bought originally in Florida by a Car collector who owned it for almost 2 years and only put a few hundred miles on it. He then sold it to the second owner who only drove the car about 50k plus miles in 16 years. The car has always been garaged and owned by seniors who used the car as a weekend perfect weather toy car. I have the Original Window sticker, 2 keys, the Owners Books and a lot of other goodies that show this Z3 was a prized possession. The Paint and body on the car are in exceptional shape with no key scratches or door dings to speak of. The wheels are all perfect with no curb marks or bends to them. This Z3 shows easily a 9 of 10 even to car snobs who look for stuff to pick at. The only flaw is a very slight indention on the tip of the front bumper as the second owner got to close to a curb stop. The Z3 is not all looks either as I have several recent receipts from the BMW dealer showing that the 60k mile service was completed early to ensure a great lasting Z3 free of problems. The Z3 has no service or other warning lights on and needs nothing as I have spent a good bit getting her in top shape for the next owner. Below is a list of options and recent servicing to ensure a Z3 that will be in top shape for years to come.
Options Include: Power Seats, Cruise Control, Fog Lights, 6-Disc CD Changer, On- Board Computer, Heated Seats, and of Course the upgraded 2.8L Engine. The Z3 also has the rare extended Leather on the dash board and door handles along with the upgraded wood steering wheel and wood center console. The Z3 is pretty loaded for the year. Recent Servicing With Receipts: Brand New Drive Belts, Brand New Oil and Filter, Brand New Rear Window W/Crystal Clear Visibility, Brand New Water Pump and Coolant Flush, Brand New Rear Tires and Good Safe Fronts, Brand New Door Handle Trims, Brand New Seat Bushings to Stop the Play in The Seats... I am known to get these cars in top shape as I have Master BMW Technicians at my disposal and please read my feedback as it is flawless. I go the extra mile to get the cars as close to perfect as possible...... |

This is the BMW Z4 GTE that will wear the Roundel in ALMS
Sun, 17 Feb 2013The Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway are a month of racing and reveals, with the season's metal going for the flag at races like the Rolex 24 at Daytona and other cars being introduced to the public. In the latter category is the BMW Z4 GTE (click the image above to enlarge) joining the American Le Mans Series GT class this year with BMW Team RLL (Rahal, Letterman and Lanigan). This machine replaces the M3 GT that completed four years of service and won the class title in 2010 and 2011. Naturally, the team is tempering expectations for the Z4 GTE by repeating the fact that it sees this season as a development year.
BMW Team RLL drivers for its two cars will be Bill Auberlen and series rookie Maxime Martin in the No. 55, aided by Jörg Müller for the endurance races at Sebring and Road Atlanta. The No. 56 car gets Dirk Müller on a full-time basis, Joey Hand when he's not competing in the DTM series, and John Edwards when Hand isn't available. Uwe Alzen will help out with driving duties in the No. 56 at endurance races.

2023 CES Editors' Picks
Mon, Jan 9 2023Over the past few years, it has become more and more clear that the Consumer Electronics Show is a car show. And this year that reality is more clear than ever. Not only did established automakers show off seriously important vehicles, but a traditional electronics company brought a car that gives an idea of its intents (with the help of establishment car company). With so many car reveals, we had to rank our favorites. Our picks for this show are entirely electric. Or at least, they are on paper, since many are concepts. Considering the name of the show, it would be a little strange if they weren't. In fact, not only are many of our favorites concepts, they all are save for one. See how they shook out below. VW ID7 camo View 28 Photos 5. Volkswagen ID.7 "The ID.7 definitely got lost in the crowd at CES. That it was camouflaged definitely didn't help, even if that camo was electroluminescent (BMW trumped it big time with its color-changing Dee). Nevertheless, this is a close-to-production hatchback-ed sedan, not unlike today's Arteon, with an extra-long wheelbase courtesy its EV architecture. It should be a solid answer to the Tesla Model 3 and Hyundai Ioniq 6, and even if people obviously prefer SUVs now, VW says there is still a market for sedans. I know I'd probably prefer one." –Senior Editor, West Coast and Reviews, James Riswick Peugeot Inception concept View 12 Photos 4. Peugeot Inception "It's not often that show debuts surprise us. While Peugeot teased the Inception ahead of CES, its unveiling seemed almost incidental. But just look at this thing; it's like an electric French Mustang with someplace important to be. I don't buy into the stupid 'It's not a wheel!' thing that Peugeot CEO Linda Jackson described as providing a video-game-like drive experience, but that bit of silliness aside, this is a really promising design study. Give us more of these and fewer tall boxes, please." –Associate Editor Byron Hurd Afeela prototype from Sony Honda Mobility View 11 Photos 3. Afeela by Sony Honda “Ever since Sony showed off an impressively put-together concept car at CES a few years ago, IÂ’ve been anticipating the companyÂ’s next move. Apparently, that next move is “Afeela.” No, I donÂ’t love the name. The specs from SonyÂ’s original concept car give me hope that this prototype sportback (itÂ’s a hatchback!) will be fun to drive, though.
NHTSA slaps BMW with $40M fine for slow Mini recall
Thu, Dec 24 2015BMW is on the hook for a $40-million fine after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration slapped the automaker over not recalling Minis that failed to meet minimum side-impact crash standards. The civil penalty from NHTSA concerns 2014 and 2015 Mini Cooper hatchback models that "failed a crash test designed to determine whether the vehicle met crash-protection minimums," the government agency said in a press release issued this week. An October 2014 test revealed the first problem, and the Mini was subsequently retested in July, only to fail again and finally prompt a recall of more than 30,000 cars. But according to NHTSA's investigation that was opened in October, BMW waited too long to issue a recall after it knew the cars did not meet standards and bring them into compliance with more energy-absorbing materials installed by Mini dealers. This is the second time NHTSA slapped BMW with a major penalty, following a $3-million fine back in 2012 failing to report recalls of its cars and motorcycles. "For the second time in three years, BMW has been penalized for failing to meet that obligation," NHTSA Administrator Mark Rosekind said in the release. "The company must take this opportunity to reform its procedures and its culture to put safety where it belongs: at the top of its priority list." In a separate release issued this week, BMW Group said it, "is committed to further improving its recall processes to better serve its customers," and that the company, "respects the role of NHTSA and looks forward to working with them to develop solutions for the future." National Highway Traffic Safety Administration fines BMW $40 million for failing to meet safety requirements Fine is auto company's second since 2012 WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has imposed a $40 million civil penalty and a series of performance requirements to automaker BMW North America for a series of violations of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act and NHTSA regulations. Under terms of a Consent Order issued to BMW, the company acknowledges that it violated requirements to issue a timely recall of vehicles that did not comply with minimum crash protection standards, to notify owners of recalls in a timely fashion, and to provide accurate information about its recalls to NHTSA. NHTSA imposed a $3 million civil penalty to BMW in 2012 for similar violations.
