2002 Bmw Z3 Roadster Convertible 2-door 3.0l on 2040-cars
West Palm Beach, Florida, United States
This is a Florida vehicle its whole life, so its never seen the snow and slag ! The engine compartment is very clean as you can see in the pictures. I drove this vehicle to Nashville, Tennessee in 12 hours....925 miles.... and it was a breeze. The A/C is cold and the cruise is working. This is a really nice, fun vehicle and the 3.0 inline 6 cylinder is a huge upgrade. I had this vehicle serviced with my regular mechanic, Bill's Alignment, and he inserted some tracks on the seats as they had a little wiggle room, this is common on this vehicle and he found a kit to make a good repair. There were also one or two more things....we service our cars ! The brake indicator light is on and the vehicle needs the brake pads and indicators replaced. I will have this done at no charge to the buyer of this vehicle. The rotors are excellent and will NOT be changed. It will be done promptly on receiving a deposit. As you can see we have 100% positive feedback and our intention is to keep it that way. The carfax report shows $1,220.00 above retail book value for this vehicle. The current NADA retail is $10,350.00 plus add $1475.00 for the low miles for a total RETAIL of $11,825.00. An opening bid of $8,500.00 buys this car with the brakes , unless outbid. The report shows a minor accident in 2006 and states that the vehicle was functional after the collision. In the past, many of our clients have flown into the Palm Beach airport. It is only 10-15 minutes away from our office. Please let us know how we may best serve you. We may consider a partial trade-in......this MUST be discussed and AGREED before any sale. Automotive Retention Systems is a licensed, bonded and insured dealer in Palm Beach county Florida. Our office is at 1392 N. Killian Drive Lake Park, Fl. 33403.........................................Call Rick At 561-201-6050 with any questions, requests, etc. Thanks for Looking.........Life is Good, Enjoy !!!

BMW Films are on the way back [w/videos]
Mon, 17 Feb 2014The BMW Films series caused a stir in 2001 and 2002 by combining top-quality cinematography, Hollywood names and driving excitement to sell its sporty wares in a whole new way. By arriving five years before YouTube, they ranked as some of the earliest viral videos on the internet. By now, these sorts of films are almost commonplace, but back when BMW hit upon the idea, the idea of brand-integrated short films on the internet was still a novelty. Now, for the first time in over a decade, the German automaker is planning on bringing back BMW Films for a new season.
Trudy Hardy, BMW North America Vice President of Marketing, announced the series' return at the 2014 Automotive News World Congress in Detroit, according to Ad Age. However, neither the German brand nor Anonymous Content, the original production company, have been willing to comment further on when the new videos are coming.
The original series of eight films starred Clive Owen as the Driver (back then, Owen was largely unknown to American audiences), a mercenary who would take a variety of jobs and always drive a BMW. David Fincher executive produced the first season and directors included top names like John Frankenheimer, Ang Lee and Guy Ritchie. All of the second season movies had Owen driving a Z4, but in our estimation, the quality had fallen off a bit compared to the outstanding first season.
Permanent erection lawsuit against BMW thrown out
Wed, 19 Mar 2014The California man who claimed that he suffered from a 20-month erection after a four-hour ride on his BMW K1100RS motorcycle (similar model pictured above) has had his case dismissed. It seems the court found his claims too hard to believe.
Henry Wolf filed a product liability lawsuit against BMW and seatmaker Corbin-Pacific in the California Superior Court in April 2012 after he claimed a motorcycle ride in September 2010 caused a long-term case of priapism from the "ridge-like" saddle design. He asked for compensation for lost wages, medical expenses and emotional distress from both companies.
Nearly two years later, according to Visor Down, Judge James J. McBride decided that the case didn't have enough supporting evidence. A urologist testified that the plaintiff had priapism, but the court rejected the testimony of a neurologist who claimed the motorcycle's vibration caused the disorder. The defendants presented testimony from the bike's former and subsequent owners. Corbin-Pacific CEO Mike Corbin also spoke in the company's defense.
Car companies may need to start curbing model proliferation
Mon, 17 Nov 2014Looking at the current automotive landscape, especially from German makers, you quickly get the impression that less definitely isn't more. BMW alone offers its 3 Series platform in practically every segment possible, including the regular sedan and 4 Series Gran Coupe, which would seem to be direct competitors. Porsche might be the winner, though, with 20 different variants of the 911 listed for sale on its US website. However, some of this model madness might be reaching an end as companies begin cutting back spending or shifting money to other priorities.
According to Yahoo Finance, the offerings from the German automakers are up 25 percent over the past three years to over 200 models in Europe. The peak is expected to come around 2018 at 230 separate vehicles, according to consulting company PwC.
Amazingly, BMW, which is among the poster children for this model explosion, might be changing its tune. "I'm sure there will be points in the future where we look at certain cars and say, 'Maybe we need to think differently now,'" said head of sales Ian Robertson in an interview, according to Yahoo Finance. The statement certainly sounds shocking coming from a company rumored to have 23 front-wheel-drive vehicles all using a single platform on the way.
