1998 Bmw Z3 M Roadster Convertible And Rare Hardtop Excellent With Low Miles on 2040-cars
Tucson, Arizona, United States
This beautiful 1998 BMW M Roadster has only 46,380 miles and is in wonderful condition. Auction also includes a rare matching detachable hardtop with rear window defroster. Paint is in great condition, glossy and regularly Zainoed. Very minor stone chips on nose and couple scratches on rear bumper and one on top of hardtop. Couple of door dings on driver side door (all pictured).
Interior on this vehicle is in phenomenal condition. Beautiful red leather is soft and clean with only slight wear on driver side bolster. Carpets clean with no stains. Dash material is mint with no cracking or fading. All gauges function flawlessly. Passenger side seat switch is functioning erratically. However it only controls the seat for and aft and the seat is all the way back. Tilt function is manually controlled. The rest of the power equipment works perfectly. Windows have a mild tint. Mechanically this car is also in great shape. Maintenance regularly performed and up to date. New convertible top and window professionally installed and functions smoothly. Car drives great. Alignment is straight and suspension is tight. Very quick and fun car to drive. I have been careful to describe this vehicle as accurately as I can. Many others may not even mention things that could be considered normal wear and tear. I am not a professional however I am an enthusiast that takes pride in ownership. You won' be disappointed |

2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe
Wed, 30 Oct 2013One of the many perks of this job is, not surprisingly, the cars. It's relatively easy to snag the keys to a vehicle for a special occasion, whether that be for a road trip, tailgating or helping a friend move. And while sometimes the tailgating might happen with a Ford F-150 instead of a Range Rover and the road trip might be in a minivan rather than a Mercedes-Benz S-Class, occasionally the stars align and a special vehicle arrives for an equally special time.
That's exactly how I found myself dressed to the nines and behind the wheel of the BMW M6 Gran Coupe, a $135,375 (as-tested) rocket ship, en route to a rare multi-wedding weekend to celebrate with two pairs of my closest friends on the biggest day of their lives (a very special congratulations to Kara and Zach, and Laura and Andrew). Continuing with our nuptial theme, the M mechanicals and the 6 Series Gran Coupe body are a match made in heaven.
Meet the inventor of the BMW 3 Series wagon
Sat, 11 May 2013It's hard to imagine, but once upon a time, there were only two BMW 3 Series variants: the coupe and sedan. Back before gran coupes, convertibles and yes, even touring models were available, buyers could only get their 3 Series fix if it came with two or four doors and a fixed roof. Back in the mid '80s, BMW engineer Max Reisbock was having some trouble fitting his whole family into his four door. Rather than suck it up and buy a van, he picked up a wrecked 3 Series and got to cutting in a buddy's garage. Months later, he had the very first 3 Series Touring ever built.
At first, he kept the the car to himself, using it to haul friends and family around, but he eventually showed it off to his friends at work. When the BMW executives found out about his project, they called him up to take a closer look. After putting an eyeball on the car, they took it, copied his design, made a few tweaks and quickly rolled out the first production 3 Series Touring. How's that for validation? Check out the video below for Reisbock's story.
BMW M3 gets the video retrospective treatment
Mon, 10 Jun 2013With BMW on the cusp of pulling back the sheets on its next-generation M3 (or should we say, M4?), the crew from Electric Federal has taken it upon themselves to give us a generation-by-generation look at the evolution of the most renowned of BMW's sports coupes. The video below features plenty of beautiful shots of each generation of M3, starting with the ever lust-worthy E30 before finishing up with the current iteration. BWS Motorsport's Mark Norris provides the narration, complete with a brief synopsis of what makes each generation so special.
As usual, the clip is fit for big-screen viewing. You can watch the action below for yourself. Meanwhile, we'll be busy figuring out which vital organs we can sell to get our hands on our own E30 M3.
