Beautiful 2004 Bmw X5, Grey/black on 2040-cars
Dallas, Texas, United States
This 2004 X5 4.4i with 115,450 miles is dark grey with dark grey/black interior. It's been very well cared for. All maintenance is up to date, and has been performed on schedule by a shop that specializes in European luxury vehicles. The vehicle is in excellent condition on the interior and exterior for a car of this age/mileage. This car is overall in better shape than two year old cars I've been in recently.
Very minor nicks/scratches in paint. One pic shows a tiny dent in driver door; another shows a small scratch on passenger door (note both were taken extremely close-up so look larger than they actually are). There is reflection of a green hose in one of the pictures, and a red/yellow object in the other. These are reflections only, not the paint of the car. Driver's side leather seat shows some signs of wear from entering/existing the vehicle; passenger side very little. The vehicle comes with plastic mats for all four seats as well as the entire rear cargo area. These have been used consistently in the vehicle, so the floor mats are all like-new. Runs well and is FAST! One minor quirk - when backing up, one of the mirrors will sometimes randomly go up and down, up and down, a little bit (??). When the car is put back into drive, the mirror returns to its normal position. Thanks for looking. |

BMW M3 gets the video retrospective treatment
Mon, 10 Jun 2013With BMW on the cusp of pulling back the sheets on its next-generation M3 (or should we say, M4?), the crew from Electric Federal has taken it upon themselves to give us a generation-by-generation look at the evolution of the most renowned of BMW's sports coupes. The video below features plenty of beautiful shots of each generation of M3, starting with the ever lust-worthy E30 before finishing up with the current iteration. BWS Motorsport's Mark Norris provides the narration, complete with a brief synopsis of what makes each generation so special.
As usual, the clip is fit for big-screen viewing. You can watch the action below for yourself. Meanwhile, we'll be busy figuring out which vital organs we can sell to get our hands on our own E30 M3.
30th Anniversary BMW M5 information leaks out
Mon, 05 May 2014BMW hasn't kept its 30th Anniversary M5 a very big secret. It even hinted that "a surprise" was coming while celebrating its Autobahn-storming sedan's 30th birthday. However, what exactly was on the way has been a mystery... until now. The folks over at Bimmerpost have found some leaked details about the new model, and it's definitely more than just some badges special paint.
The biggest upgrade for the M5 is that power allegedly increases to 592 horsepower (600PS) and 516 pound-feet of torque (700 Newton-meters). That is a 32-hp and 14-lb-ft increase over the standard M5 and 17 ponies more than models with the Competition Package. The forum claims that all of the cars come with a dual-clutch gearbox, even in the US.
Styling also sees an upgrade with BMW Individual Frozen Dark Silver Metallic exterior paint, special 20-inch wheels, dark chrome trim and 30th Anniversary badges. The interior mixes Merino leather and Alcantara upholstery with dark aluminum trim and more celebratory badges.
Mercedes fights off late BMW surge to claim 2013 luxury sales crown
Sat, 04 Jan 2014The king is dead - long live the king. Mercedes-Benz is now your new US sales champion in the fiercely competitive luxury market, deposing the champ BMW, which has enjoyed annual supremacy for the past two years.
Thanks in no small part to the dynamite launch of the new, affordable CLA-Class, not to mention a redesigned E-Class and hot-selling S-Class, Mercedes moved 33,007 units in December alone, while sales in 2013 were up 14 percent, to 312,534. BMW, meanwhile, managed to sell 309,280 units in 2013. It was far from a sure thing for the Stuttgart-based brand, though, as BMW managed to nearly halve its rival's sales lead heading into the last month of 2013.
"We saw record sales, flexed our muscles across the entire product line from top to bottom and brought the customer experience to an all-time high," said Steve Cannon, Mercedes USA's CEO. While we don't have individual figures, it seems at first blush that the CLA was really the car that pushed Mercedes over the top.
