For sale is my 2011 X5 with 400hp V8 engine!  This vehicle is still covered under the factory 4 year, 50,000 mile warranty.  It is an all-wheel drive model and comes with tons of options!  These include:

-Sport Activity Package $2200

-Premium Package $2200

-Premium Sound Package $1800

-Technology Package $2800

-Sport Package $950

-Running boards $300

-Roof Rails $100

-Leather Dashboard $1900

-Destination Charge $875

Total $71,525!!!

The vehicle has always been garaged and it is in immaculate condition.  The exterior has a great shine and the Sparkling Bronze Metallic paint is beautiful in the sunlight.  The front bumper is free of chips and the body does not have door dings or scratches.  The tires are newer and in great shape.  I estimate 70% life on the rears and 80% on the fronts.

The interior is also in great shape with minimal wear and tear. Seats, dash, trim are all mint. The full leather dash is nice and really adds to the luxury feel.  It is highly optioned so you have things such as navigation, rear camera, parking assistance, upgraded sound, etc.

The drive and handling of this vehicle is amazing for a SUV.  It has the Sport packages so it sits higher than regular X5's for a better view of your surroundings.  The handling is very tight and controlled but supple at the same time like only BMW can do.   You will love being behind the wheel of this vehicle every day.

Title on vehicle is clear and its ready to be sold.  This is a highly optioned V8 X5 that has no stories, a clean history and is ready for a new owner.  It is being sold AS IS from myself but is covered under the factory BMW warranty.  I am taking it in for service early next week so it will have a fresh oil change, inspection, etc.  It will need to be picked up from Tampa, FL by either you or a shipping company.  I am close to the airport, very easy for you to fly in and drive home!

Fore! Pro golfers race BMW i8 against a golf cart

Sat, Jun 28 2014

You wouldn't think a couple of pro golfers racing a golf cart along a nice green course would get the blood pumping. But throw in a BMW i8 plug-in hybrid and things get at least a little more interesting. At least, that's what the German automaker is hoping for. Bimmer is swinging big with a cross-promotional video featuring two pairs of golfers racing plug-in vehicles at the 2014 BMW International Open golf tournament in Koln, Germany. Two of the golfers take your run-of-the-mill golf cart while the other two take a slightly more powerful BMW i8, with the goal to get to the course's "halfway house" first. The race, among other things, sends jackrabbits scurrying and shows off the i8's really cool doors and racy styling. The odd part – "spoiler" alert – is that the golf cart wins the race by taking a short cut through the course despite the fact that the i8 pairs a 231-horsepower turbocharged engine with a 131-horsepower electric motor. It's probably not exactly the message of high-speed performance BMW wants to convey but it would raise eyebrows if this weren't all a silly stunt. Check out the three-minute video below and then read our i8 First Drive impressions here.

BMW raises pricing on many models

Wed, 02 Oct 2013

Buyers interested in a new BMW will start paying a bit more for their Ultimate Driving Machines, beginning yesterday. The Munich, Germany-based manufacturer has announced price hikes across nearly its entire range, covering model years 2013 and 2014, that will sting higher-end customers in particular.
Price increases are enough to get any consumer riled up, but the incremental nature of BMW's increase makes it a bit easier to swallow. All 1 Series and remaining 3 Series Convertibles (including the M3 Convertible) will see a $300 increase in price. All current-generation F30 3 Series, 5 Series GT and X3 crossovers will get their price bumped by $200. $500 increases are coming for the 6 Series range (not including the M6), while the diminutive X1 gets just a $100 increase.
Cars on the losing end of the price hikes include the newest M cars, the M5 and M6 Coupe, Convertible and Gran Coupe, which are being bumped $2,000. BMW is adding $1,000 to the sticker of all Z4s and the entire X6 range, including the X6M.

BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe caught without cladding

Wed, 04 Sep 2013

Like it or not, the majority of BMW 3 Series variants are on their way out, and the 4 Series models are hotly embroiled in the testing needed to replace them. We've now driven the basic 4 Series, seen spy photographs of the 4 Series Convertible and both versions of the M4 and today we get a better-than-ever look at the 4 Series Gran Coupe.
And, mostly dependent on your personal disposition towards four-dour coupes, that look should be a pleasant thing. The long, swooping Gran Coupe may be roughly similar in size to the related 3 Series GT, but it has been sculpted with beauty in mind rather than crossover function. We expect that those details still hidden by the body cladding here, mostly front and rear, can be filled in by simply remembering what the standard 4 Series looks like and squinting your eyes a bit. Subtlety is thy name, BMW variants.
As for the mechanicals, well, we expect to have the very same greasy bits under the hood and beneath the car that are found in the 4 Series lineup, too.
