Next BMW X6 to be larger, more aggressive
Tue, 16 Apr 2013If the current BMW X6, introduced in 2008, is looking a bit too bland for your tastes, have no fear as the next-generation model is reportedly going to be larger and more aggressive than its predecessor.
Autocar is reporting that an insider has revealed the all-new second-generation X6 will make its world debut at the 2014 Moscow Motor Show, going on sale just after summer. More aggressive styling will help BMW distinguish its sportier X6 from BMW's more practical models, such as the X3 and X5, said the source.
The next X6 will again share platforms with the X5, but it will be stretched slightly to provide second-row passengers with more legroom. Powerplants will also likely mirror those of its mainstream cousin, including a range of turbocharged six- and eight-cylinder engines and a range-topping M model (the 2013 BMW X6 M is show above).

Why it has a Bugatti Veyron and a Bentley Continental and a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG with sirens and light bars? Well, here's the reason. This video shows the fleet on display on the Emirate's roads and highways, while also reaching out to the people the police are meant to protect. It's an impressive display of machinery, to be sure. Alongside the Bentley, Bugatti and Mercedes, we spy a Ferrari FF, a Brabus G-Wagen, a BMW M6, a Nissan GT-R, an Audi R8 and a McLaren MP4-12C (although the latest Dubai Police car, the Lexus RC F, is absent). The video even has a very cinematic look and feel to it, which works well with the night scenes and the blues-and-twos of the exotics cruisers. The List: The Red BMW - A Retrospective
Mon, 23 Dec 2013We can't help but use this time of year to look back at the days before and reminisce about friends who are no longer in our lives. For The List, Jessi and Patrick were often joined by a little, red BMW 3 Series that, at times, felt like a third host of the show. Having been bought used for just a thousand bucks, the red BMW proved to be surprisingly durable. Through jumps, dunks and monster trucks, it remained our little trooper 'till the very end, and on the way taught us all how important a faithful four-wheeled companion is to the life's work of completing one's automotive bucket list.
