Up for sale is a 2007 BMW X3 3.0si. This vehicle has had two owners and was previously purchased in November of 2009 with 17,626 miles as certified pre-owned by the dealership. The exterior is in excellent condition for the age/mileage and the interior is in near mint condition since it was mainly used for commuting to work by only the driver. This SUV has mostly highway miles and has been parked in a secluded driveway since the 2009 purchase.

Interior Color: Tobacco (Chocolate Brown)
Exterior Color: Black Sapphire Metallic

Vehicle has premium package with most of all the available options/features for this model and year. e.g. AWD, retractable side mirrors, heated seats, heated steering wheel, heated mirrors, panoramic moon-roof, leather seats, multi-memory drivers seat, compass, upgraded wheels/tires.

New Pirelli Scorpion STR Tires were installed December of 2012 and have an estimated 90-95% tread life left. These tires are the recommended replacements from BMW. BMW floor rubber/fabric mats are included.

The only known flaw is the requirement to keep the passenger seat belt buckled at all times to bypass the audible seat belt warning. (The sensor seems to think someone is sitting in the passenger front seat at all times).

Exhaust system, engine, transmission, and powered options all are in good to excellent condition.

SUV has been regularly maintained by BMW dealership and no mechanical work is required at this time.

There are no expressed warranties with this sale and vehicle is to be considered "as is" at time of purchase. Full cash payment is expected within 48 hours of sale or vehicle will be re-listed. A test drive will only be granted for the winning bidder. If winning bidder is not fully satisfied with vehicle after test drive, we can cancel the transaction. Re-negotiations post sale will not be allowed. All shipping expenses are to be covered by buyer.

Please email me with any and all questions. I will be prompt in response time. I do not personally own this vehicle but have personally reviewed and test driven it. I have sold a few vehicles before for friends/family on eBay and always have had very happy customers due to my overwhelmingly honest listings.

Thank you for reviewing this listing and happy bidding!

BMW Vision Gran Turismo takes M235i Racing to the virtual extreme [w/videos]

Wed, 14 May 2014

Late last year, Mercedes-AMG worked up a concept car called the Vision Gran Turismo. It presented it at the Los Angeles Auto Show, but that wasn't the point: the point was that it would feature in Gran Turismo 6 on the PlayStation 3. It wasn't the first concept created specifically for the popular driving simulator - following similar projects by Citroën and Red Bull Racing - and as we reported just a month later, it wouldn't be the last. What we have here is the next.
Looking like an even more extreme version of the M235i Racing, the BMW Vision Gran Turismo concept builds on "the tradition of the successful BMW touring cars of the 1970s" in a heart-pumping, if unfortunately strictly virtual form. It's got more extreme aero than the aforementioned M235i Racing and a striking take on the M division's signature light blue, dark blue and red stripe over white livery.
Underneath the digital bonnet sits the same 3.0-liter inline six as the M235i, but pumping out a prodigious (if theoretical) 549 horsepower - far more than the 333 hp in the actual Racing version or the 320 hp in the roadgoing model. Of course BMW has given it an ideal 50:50 front-rear weight distribution and a curb weight of 2,600 lbs - nearly a thousand pounds less than the roadgoing M235i.

BMW rethinks all-wheel-drive M cars

Fri, 04 Oct 2013

BMW M hasn't been able to decide whether it wants to jump on the all-wheel-drive bandwagon or not (with the exceptions of the X5 M and the X6 M, which are based on AWD architecture). That might be changing though, since M's president Friedrich Nitschke recently realized that 70 to 80 percent of Mercedes-Benz E63 AMGs are ordered with all-wheel drive. Earlier this year, Nitschke said that there were no new AWD M models planned, so this comes as somewhat of a surprise.
"On our cars we are thinking of all-wheel drive, but it won't come before we get the successor of the M5 and M6," Nitschke said in a Motoring report. "That's the timing and it's not practical to react in the current life cycles."

2014 BMW 320i

Tue, 24 Dec 2013

When BMW switched its entry level 3 Series, the 328i, from a naturally aspirated, 3.0-liter six-cylinder to a turbocharged, 2.0-liter four-cylinder, we weren't entirely sure what to think. Sure, from a pure numbers perspective, the new 2.0-liter cooked the old 3.0's goose, delivering more torque at far more accessible engine speeds while boosting horsepower and fuel economy.
While we miss that revvy six-pot, the numbers for the 2.0 were just way too good to pass up. Then we received news of an even less-powerful 2.0-liter 3 Series - the 320i. This was interesting, as it saw BMW delving into a power level previously owned solely by the anemic Lexus IS 250 and its six-cylinder engine.
Could BMW make a sub-200-horsepower sedan that still drove the way we expected a 3 Series to drive? To find out, we borrowed the new 320i for a week of testing.
