2006 M5 E60 V10 Beast Racing Dynamics Fully Upgraded Exhaust! Lci Tail Lights on 2040-cars
Plano, Texas, United States
Please know this car was a CALIFORNIA Lemon law car because it had the SMG Transmission replaced at 52,000 miles. I view it as a very good thing because NO E60 M5 has a fresh transmission and flywheel in it! California lemon law cars are NOT actual lemons, any other state, especially Texas, would never lemon law a car for a transmission job. I have all BMW maintenance records to Prove my claims! Also, car has NEVER been in an accident! Truly clean This M5 is in flawless mechanical condition. Just had a fresh oil change done 3 weeks ago, as well as new front brakes! SMG Transmission, clutch, and flywheel were all replaced under CPO at 52,000 miles! This M5 came loaded with options which 90% do not have. It does not get better than this honestly. The gearbox is PERFECT. This car feels TWICE as mean as a completely stock M5. The Racing Dynamics additions really bring this car to life and make it one of a kind! The exhaust sounds like something out of a movie, honestly has to be heard in person. The engine has NO oil leaks what so ever! which is very hard to find with a car like this as any BMW enthusiast knows. There is NO other M5 out there that can compare to this, and anyone who drives this car will agree. This car has been adult owned and driven its entire life and has had tasteful, reliable, and professionally installed upgrades to make it truly one of a kind. I am doing a quick auction with a SUPER LOW reserve to see what happens. Below is a list of the stock options and after market additions AFTER MARKET ADDITIONS $$$ Complete Racing Dynamics Tune for efficiency and POWER Full Exhaust system upgrade with high flow cats by Racing Dynamics worth over $10,000 Upgraded LCI Tail Lights Racing Dynamics Carbon Fiber Trunk Spoiler Racing Dynamics Carbon Fiber Rear Window Spoiler Racing Dynamics Carbon Fiber Front Grill insert Black and White BMW Badges Lowered Suspension (still fully functioning stock suspension controls)

This Or That: 1980 Oldsmobile 442 vs. 1989 BMW 635CSi [w/poll]
Thu, 09 Oct 2014The last time I roped a coworker into an automotive debate, I lost. Resoundingly, I might add. Still, 2,385 voters chose to cast their lots for the Fiat 500 Abarth, as opposed to 5,273 choosing the Ford Fiesta ST, and so I can rest easy in the knowledge that at least 30 percent of you, dear readers, see things my way. I still like to think we have more fun, too.
My loss in the first round of our This or That series, in which two Autoblog editors pick sides on any given topic and then attempt to explain why the other is completely wrong, didn't stop me from picking another good-natured fight, this time with Senior Editor Seyth Miersma. Last time, our chosen sides were eerily similar in design, albeit quite different in actual execution. This time, our vehicular peculiarities couldn't seemingly fall any further from one another: A 1980 Oldsmobile 442 wouldn't seem to match up in comparison to a 1989 BMW 635CSi.
How did we come up with such disparate contenders? Simple, really. Seyth and I mutually agreed to choose a car that's currently for sale online. It had to be built and sold in the 1980s, and it had to be a coupe. The price cap was set at $10,000. The fruits of our searching labors will henceforth be disputed, with Seyth on the side of the Germans, and myself arguing in favor of the Rocket Olds. Am I setting myself up for another lopsided loss?
BMW is the US auto industry's leading exporter
Fri, 18 Jul 2014Which automaker do you think ships the most cars out of North America, one of the Detroit Three or perhaps one of the Japanese automakers? Nope. It turns out the BMW's Spartanburg, SC, factory is the biggest automotive exporter from the continent in the United States. According to a recent profile by Bloomberg looking at the plant's 20th anniversary, Bimmer's southern ops sends out more vehicles than all of Michigan combined.
When the Spartanburg factory opened up in 1994, its success was hardly assured, largely because of South Carolina's relatively small economy at the time. However, BMW picked the site because of its proximity to East Coast shipping that made it easier to move engines and transmission in from Germany and export vehicles back to Europe, according to Bloomberg. The Bavarians clearly made the right choice.
Today, the plant has developed into an absolute powerhouse. The factory currently assembles the X3, X4, X5 and X6 and exports about 70 percent of the vehicles built there. Things are only getting better. BMW is investing $1 billion through 2016 to boost annual production from the current 300,000 units up to 450,000 and to build a new flagship crossover called X7. The expansion also adds a further 800 jobs there to take total employment up to about 8,800. Including the latest financing, BMW has put over $7.3 billion into the factory since it opened, notes Bloomberg.
BMW's DTM champ swaps rides with Mini's Dakar winner
Tue, May 5 2015BMW may not race in F1 any longer, and it doesn't compete with Audi and Porsche in the LMP1 class at Le Mans. It even shut down Mini's short-lived effort on the World Rally Championship. But that doesn't mean it doesn't race at all. In fact it's the current reigning champion both in DTM and at Dakar. So to highlight its varied motorsport programs, the German automaker had two of its top drivers swap rides. German driver Martin Tomczyk, who won the DTM title in 2011 and now drives for BMW, took to Nasser Al-Attiyah's Mini All4Racing Countryman on the sand dunes of Dubai. Meanwhile the Qatari driver, who has won the Dakar Rally two times now, took to the wheel of Tomczyk's BMW M4 DTM around Oschersleben in Germany. They even repeated the game of musical chairs at Hockenheim over the weekend. If anything, the promo clip shot by Red Bull just goes to show how different the varied racing machinery can be, and the challenges posed to racing drivers switching between disciplines. But lessons aside, it's a cool clip, so check it out above. Two champions swap cockpits: Martin Tomczyk drives the MINI ALL4 Racing, Nasser Al-Attiyah the BMW M4 DTM. Munich (DE), 1st May 2015. From asphalt to sand and back again: BMW DTM driver Martin Tomczyk (DE) and MINI ALL4 Racing ace Nasser Al-Attiyah (QA) both entered unfamiliar territory and took each other's cars for a test drive. As part of a video shoot for BMW Motorsport Premium Partner Red Bull in Dubai (AE), Tomczyk, a proven master of his trade on asphalt as the 2011 DTM Champion, took the wheel of the MINI ALL4 Racing, with which X-raid has won the famous Rally Dakar the last four years. During DTM testing in Oschersleben (DE), Al-Attiyah was given the opportunity to drive Tomczyk's BMW M Performance Parts M4 DTM. Two wins at the Rally Dakar are just some of the successes the rally driver from Qatar has had to date. He followed up his first victory in 2011 by winning in the MINI ALL4 Racing in January 2015. "Driving the MINI ALL4 Racing through the sand and over the dunes in Dubai was a fascinating experience and was so much fun," said Tomczyk. "The car has an incredible amount of torwue – and the test in the dunes was an amazing adrenalin rush even for an experienced race driver such as myself. It's totally different to driving on a circuit.
